  1. 48

Poulenc Christmas Motets, Movement 1: O Magnum Mysterium

This is a MIDI file for the Poulenc O Magnum Mysterium, written in 1952. (The piece, not the MIDI file.)

More review on Porgy and Bess.

  4. 45

    Thu. May 7, 2007 Men's Rehearsal

We went over the notes that had been given by Michael Morgan at Wednesday's rehearsal, related to tempo and interpretation of Porgy and Bess. There are additional cuts. I did not record either the Wendesday or the Tuesday rehearsals of this week.

  5. 44

    Wed. April 11, 2007 Rehearsal

All Norman. We'd expected Michael Morgan to appear, but he did not. We finished at 9:30pm.

  6. 43

    Tues. April 10, 2007 Women's Rehearsal

Lots of focus on the details, primarily on Porgy and Bess.

  7. 42

Porgy and Bess and Norman, once again. Michael Morgan will be at the rehearsal on the 11th to go over the Norman

  8. 41

    Wed. April 4, 2007 Rehearsal

Another careful runthrough of much of Porgy and Bess, then a complete run of the Norman, starting around 9:35 pm.

  16. 33

    Tues. March 6, 2007 Rehearsal

The entire rehearsal was spent on the Norman. Because cutoffs and rhythm are so important in this piece, this is a difficult rehearsal to digest without actually seeing it.

  17. 32

    Wed. February 28, 2007 Rehearsal

Porgy, Norman, and Ravel again. I'm writing this description enough after the fact that I can't remember in what order.
