If you’ve ever felt underpaid, overworked, manipulated, retaliated against, or like something just isn’t right at your job… this episode is for you.Today on Off My Meds, I’m sitting down with employment attorney and social media powerhouse Ryan Stygar (@AttorneyRyan), a former firefighter turned labor lawyer who has built a massive following exposing what employers and HR departments don’t want workers to know. His new book, Get It In Writing: The Ultimate Guide to Your Rights at Work, breaks down how employees can actually protect themselves in today’s workplace — without immediately blowing up their careers. We get into:• Retaliation at work• Toxic workplace culture• Wrongful termination• HR myths• Wage theft & overtime issues• Fear of speaking up at work• Toxic productivity culture• Paper trails & documenting everything• Severance agreements & exit traps• Workplace discrimination• What is actually illegal vs just “shitty” behaviorWe also dive into the emotional side of modern work culture — the fear of being blacklisted, punished for advocating for yourself, and conditioned to tolerate burnout in exchange for “professionalism.”Because at the end of the day, if you work for a living… this conversation applies to you.📘 Ryan’s book: Get It In Writing - https://www.ryanstygar.com🎙️ Subscribe to Off My Meds for more conversations like this.Support the show

Rap 101 with JARV | Off My Meds

In this episode of Off My Meds, I sit down with rapper and lyricist Jarv for what basically turns into Rap 101.We talk about the art of lyricism, how intention and word choice shape a song, and what separates writing bars from actually saying something. Jarv breaks down his creative process, how he thinks about storytelling in rap, and what it means to be a true student of the craft. We also get into neurodivergence, creativity, and how the brain can be both the gift and the obstacle when you’re making art — especially in a genre that rewards precision, honesty, and vulnerability. This conversation is equal parts music theory, lived experience, and real talk — whether you’re a hip-hop head, a creative, or someone navigating a neurodivergent mind. 🧠🎤💊Listen if you’re into:– Rap & lyricism– Creative process deep dives– Neurodivergence & mental health conversations– Artists who actually think about their craft👉 Don’t forget to like, subscribe, and drop a comment with your favorite Jarv bar or takeaway from the episode.Support the show

To Be or Not To Be...Off ADHD Meds? | Off My Meds Pod | Ep. 307

Welcome back to Off My Meds! This is my final solo episode for Mental Health May — a little late, but in true ADHD fashion, we’re embracing the chaos. In this episode, I’m getting real about my experience with ADHD medication: 💊 Why I started stimulants 🚫 Why I went off them 🌿 The supplements I tried instead 🔁 How I’m navigating going back on meds And all the messy, emotional, and eye-opening lessons in between.Whether you're newly diagnosed or rethinking your treatment plan, I hope my story can help you feel a little less alone. This isn’t a one-size-fits-all journey, and what worked for me might not work for you — but maybe it’ll give you a starting point or a new question to ask.✨ If you’ve ever asked yourself “Do I really need meds?” or “Is there a more natural route?” — this one’s for you.📍 NOTE: I’m not a doctor — just a girl with a mic, some strong opinions, and a lot of trial-and-error. Please talk to a licensed professional before starting or stopping any medication.🧩 Got ADHD? Or think you might? Check out my past episodes where I dive into diagnosis, burnout, executive dysfunction, rejection sensitivity, and the everyday rollercoaster of being neurodivergent.👇 Drop your experience in the comments.
