Hearing They’re Being Cherished by Someone Else: What If You Missed the Person Meant for You?

There’s a different kind of pain that comes from finding out the person you once loved, took for granted, walked away from, or failed to appreciate is now being cherished by someone else. It’s not always jealousy. Sometimes, it’s the realization that someone else is giving them the love, attention, patience, reassurance, and respect that you should have given them when you had the opportunity. In this episode of OffTh3wall, we’re talking about the painful reality of missing out on someone who may have been meant for you. What happens when you hear that they’re happy? What happens when you discover that someone else is treating them exactly how they always wanted to be treated? And what happens when you realize that the person you couldn’t fully appreciate has become someone else’s greatest blessing?Sometimes we don’t understand someone’s value until they’re no longer available to us. We get comfortable. We assume they’ll always be there. We focus on their flaws while ignoring everything they brought into our lives. Then one day, they’re gone—and somebody else recognizes their worth. That realization can force you to confront yourself. Was it really that you didn’t love them, or did you simply not know how to love them properly at the time? Were you chasing something that looked better while overlooking something that was actually good for you?But this episode isn’t just about regret. It’s about growth, accountability, timing, and learning to appreciate people while they’re still in your life.Because sometimes the hardest lesson isn’t losing the person. It’s watching someone else cherish the person you weren’t ready to value.

Teach Them to Stand Up, Not Back Down: Building Confidence in Children Early

One of the most important things we can teach children early in life is how to stand up for themselves without becoming aggressive or disrespectful. Kids need to understand that being kind does not mean allowing someone to bully, intimidate, or take advantage of them. Teaching children to speak up, set boundaries, and walk away from negative situations can give them confidence that carries into adulthood.Children should learn that they don’t have to be afraid of someone simply because that person is louder, older, more experienced, or has a stronger personality. Sometimes the strongest response isn’t fighting back—it’s confidently saying, “Stop,” removing yourself from the situation, and getting a trusted adult when necessary. It’s also important to teach children to recognize who they spend time around. Not every child is a bad influence, but some children may have been exposed to behaviors, language, or situations that your child isn’t ready to handle. Parents should encourage their children to make friends who respect them, support them, and bring out the best in them.We can’t protect our children from every difficult person they will encounter. Eventually, they’ll have to navigate friendships, school, work, relationships, and the world on their own. That’s why the goal isn’t to raise children who are scared of people; it’s to raise children who understand their worth and know when to stand their ground.Teach them to be respectful, but teach them to have boundaries. Teach them to be confident, but not arrogant. Teach them that walking away isn’t weakness. Sometimes walking away is the smartest and strongest decision they can make. The earlier we give children these tools, the better prepared they’ll be to handle pressure, intimidation, bullying, and negative influences while still remaining true to who they are.

Consistency Creates the Results You Want

Success is rarely built overnight. It is created through the small decisions and actions you choose to repeat every single day. Being consistent means continuing to show up even when you are tired, unmotivated, discouraged, or not seeing immediate results. Anyone can work hard when they feel inspired, but real growth happens when you continue working even on the days when inspiration is nowhere to be found.Consistency teaches discipline, patience, and commitment. Whether you are working toward a better career, building a business, improving your health, becoming a better parent, or chasing a personal dream, the results you want will usually come from what you repeatedly do. Small progress may not always feel important in the moment, but over time, those small efforts can create major changes. The key is understanding that you do not have to be perfect to be consistent. You may have bad days, make mistakes, or experience setbacks. What matters most is your ability to get back up and continue. Missing one day does not destroy your progress, but allowing one bad moment to become a permanent habit can.Consistency is about trusting the process. You may not see results today, tomorrow, or even next month, but every positive action is adding something to your future. Keep learning, keep improving, and keep showing up for yourself. At the end of the day, your goals do not need more excuses—they need more commitment. Stay focused on where you are going instead of becoming frustrated about how far you still have to go. Consistency will take you places that temporary motivation never can. Keep showing up, keep putting in the work, and eventually, the results will speak for themselves.

Your Worth Is Not Determined by What You Have

Your Worth Is Not Determined by What You HaveYour worth should never be determined by where you are in life, what you drive, how much money you make, or what other people think about you. Too many people measure success based on material things and allow those things to determine how valuable they believe someone is. But the truth is, a person’s value comes from who they are, not what they own.You may not be living in your dream home right now. You may be driving an older car, working toward a better career, rebuilding your finances, or trying to figure out your next move in life. None of those things make you less valuable. Everyone has a different journey, a different starting point, and a different timeline. Just because someone appears to be further ahead than you does not mean you are behind.Your character, your heart, your determination, and the way you treat others say much more about you than the car you drive or the clothes you wear. Material things can come and go. Money can be gained and lost. Jobs can change. But your ability to grow, learn, overcome challenges, and continue moving forward is something that cannot be measured by a price tag.Never allow society to make you feel like you have to prove your worth through possessions. You are already worth something before the success comes. You are worth something while you’re struggling, while you’re learning, and while you’re building the life you want.Keep working. Keep growing. Keep believing in yourself. Where you are today is only a chapter, not the final destination. Remember: your circumstances may describe your current situation, but they will never define your worth. You are valuable simply because you are here and still becoming the person you are meant to be.

Staying Consistent and Being a Supportive Parent

Being a supportive parent is about much more than simply providing food, clothes, and a place to live. One of the greatest things a parent can give a child is consistency. Children need to know that the people they depend on will be there for them, not only when life is easy, but also during difficult moments. Consistency helps create trust, security, and confidence.Being consistent means showing up. It means keeping your promises when possible, being involved in your child’s life, and making an effort to understand what they are experiencing. Children may not remember every gift or every dollar spent on them, but they will remember who was there to encourage them, listen to them, support them, and help them when they needed someone.A supportive parent also understands that parenting is not about being perfect. Everyone makes mistakes. What matters is being willing to learn, grow, and continue showing love. Sometimes being supportive means celebrating your child’s accomplishments. Other times, it means correcting them, teaching them responsibility, and helping them learn from their mistakes.Consistency also requires patience and discipline. Children grow and change, and they will sometimes test boundaries. However, having a parent who remains present, loving, and dependable can make a major difference in their development. At the end of the day, being a supportive parent means making your child feel valued and loved. Your presence, encouragement, guidance, and consistency can help shape how they see themselves and the world around them. You may not always realize the impact you are having, but every conversation, lesson, and moment you spend showing up can help build a stronger foundation for your child’s future. Being consistent is not always easy, but for a child, knowing they have someone who truly supports them can mean everything.

Your 401(k) Could Be the Key to Your Financial Freedom

Investing in a 401(k) is one of the smartest ways to start building wealth and preparing for your future. Many people focus only on how much money they can spend today, but true financial security comes from planning for tomorrow. A 401(k) allows you to consistently invest money from your paycheck and potentially grow your savings over time. One of the biggest benefits of a 401(k) is consistency. Even if you cannot afford to invest thousands of dollars at once, regularly contributing a percentage of your income can add up over the years. The earlier you begin, the more time your money has to potentially benefit from compound growth. This means your investment earnings may also begin generating earnings over time.Another major advantage is employer matching. Some employers will contribute additional money to your 401(k) when you contribute, up to certain limits. If your employer offers a match, failing to contribute enough to receive the full match could mean missing out on part of your compensation.A 401(k) should not be viewed as money that is simply sitting in an account. You generally need to choose investments within the plan based on your goals, time horizon, and comfort with risk. Learning the basics of what you are invested in is just as important as contributing money.Building wealth does not always require making a lot of money overnight. It requires discipline, patience, and consistency. Instead of spending every raise or paycheck increase, consider increasing your retirement contributions and investing in your future.Your future self will benefit from the decisions you make today. Start where you can, contribute consistently, take advantage of employer benefits when available, and allow time to work in your favor. A 401(k) may not make you rich overnight, but it can be a powerful tool for building long-term financial freedom.

If she truly loves you, she wouldn’t put your life at risk

Love should never push someone towards danger. When emotions run high, it’s tempting to act impulsively, to demand loyalty through reckless acts or fights that can change lives forever. But real love seeks to protect, not endanger. If someone cares for you, they won’t put pride or anger above your safety. A healthy relationship respects life, encourages wise choices, and supports each other’s futures, rather than risking everything for a moment of anger. And that goes both ways. It’s not just on women, men have that same responsibility to not push women into danger either. Genuine love looks out for the other person, their well-being, their safety, and their future. Because at the end of the day, love isn’t about proving loyalty through reckless acts. It’s building something lasting, where both people walk away from avoidable harm and choose dignity and life instead.

Still Living With Your Parents? Use It To Build Wealth, Not Debt.

Living with your parents isn’t a setback—it’s actually a chance to get ahead. Instead of throwing money away on high rent and brand-new car payments, use this season to stack cash, build an emergency fund, and start investing consistently. A reliable used car gets you where you need to go without chaining you to big monthly bills. The point isn’t to look wealthy, it’s to quietly build wealth. Put that extra money toward a Roth IRA or retirement accounts, and let time do the heavy lifting. And hey, it’s not glamorous, but future you will be so grateful you played it smart now.

  9. 262

    Financial Freedom Starts With Discipline

Stop spending every dollar you make on things that don’t build your future. Investing your money may not feel exciting at first, but over time, those small investments can grow into something powerful. Instead of constantly buying things you don’t need, start putting your money toward assets, savings, retirement, and opportunities that can make your money work for you. Financial freedom isn’t about looking rich today—it’s about building enough wealth that you have choices tomorrow. You don’t have to stop enjoying life, but you do need to stop sacrificing your future for temporary wants. Every dollar you save and invest is a step closer to freedom. Make your money work for you instead of working your whole life just to spend it.

Traveling Solo: Confidence, Caution & Awareness

Solo travel can be one of the most exciting, empowering, and unforgettable experiences a woman can have. Traveling alone gives women the opportunity to explore new cities, experience different cultures, meet new people, discover independence, and create memories on their own terms. However, traveling alone also means taking personal safety seriously. Women traveling solo should always remain aware of their surroundings, especially in unfamiliar places. Before traveling, research your destination, understand the safest neighborhoods, know how to get around, and keep important emergency information available. Avoid sharing too much personal information with strangers, and be careful about who you trust. Stay alert when walking, using public transportation, visiting restaurants, attending events, or exploring unfamiliar areas. Keep your phone charged, let someone you trust know where you are, and consider sharing your travel itinerary with family or friends. Trust your instincts because if something feels uncomfortable, suspicious, or unsafe, it is okay to leave the situation immediately. Women should also be cautious about accepting rides, drinks, invitations, or accommodations from people they do not know well. Solo travel does not mean being scared or avoiding adventure. It means balancing confidence with awareness and preparation. Be confident, but don’t let confidence turn into carelessness. Pay attention to your surroundings, protect your belongings, stay connected, and have a plan for unexpected situations. Whether you’re traveling across the country, taking a weekend getaway, going on vacation, visiting another state, or traveling internationally, personal safety should always be part of the journey. Women can enjoy solo travel while making smart decisions, staying cautious, and remaining aware. The goal is not to live in fear. The goal is to travel confidently, responsibly, and safely while enjoying everything the world has to offer. Stay alert, trust yourself, protect your peace, and remember that being prepared is one of the strongest forms of confidence.

How Bad Do You Want It?

Sometimes you know you’re meant for greatness, but your life doesn’t look anything like the vision you had. You feel stuck. You feel held back. You question yourself, your purpose, and sometimes even God. You wonder, “Did God make a mistake by choosing me?”But what if He didn’t?What if the struggle is part of the preparation? What if the hate, rejection, disappointment, loneliness, failures, and pressure are refining you for the journey ahead? God may be building something in you that you couldn’t develop in comfort. You may have to break generational curses, overcome doubt, walk through rejection, and keep going when nobody believes in you. You may dislike the journey, but that doesn’t mean the journey is wrong.Greatness isn’t always built in easy seasons. Sometimes God builds you in the moments that make you question everything. So ask yourself: How bad do you want it?If you believe there is something greater ahead, don’t quit just because the road is hard. Keep your faith. Keep growing. Keep fighting. Keep becoming.Maybe you’re not being held back. Maybe you’re being prepared. 🙏🏽

Your Position Doesn’t Make You Better Than Anyone

Your position in life does not make you better than the next person. Having more money, a higher-paying job, a bigger house, a degree, a successful career, more followers, a nicer car, or a higher social status does not determine your value as a human being. Life can put people in different places at different times, but circumstances can change. The person you look down on today could be the person standing beside you tomorrow. Success should never become an excuse to disrespect people, treat others as less important, or forget where you came from. Real confidence does not require you to make someone else feel small. Real success is being able to grow while still having humility, compassion, respect, kindness, patience, and gratitude. Everyone is fighting battles you may know nothing about, and everyone has a story that helped shape who they are. Instead of judging people based on their current position, learn to respect their journey. You never know what someone had to overcome just to make it through the day. Titles, money, careers, relationships, possessions, popularity, and status can all change, but character matters. Treat people with respect whether they can do something for you or not. Never let your accomplishments convince you that you are above anybody. Keep your feet grounded, remember your struggles, appreciate your progress, and understand that nobody is superior simply because they are in a different position in life. Where you are today is not a reason to look down on someone who is still trying to get there.

    Co-Parenting With Peace

Co-parenting isn’t about forgetting the past—it’s about making peace with it. Sometimes two people have hurt each other, made mistakes, said things they regret, or simply realized that the relationship wasn’t meant to continue. But when a child is involved, holding onto anger can create a situation where the child feels caught in the middle.Forgiveness doesn’t mean pretending nothing happened. It means choosing not to let the past control the future. Be truthful with each other. Communicate. Respect boundaries. Let go of old arguments and focus on what matters most: giving your child love, stability, support, and the opportunity to have a healthy relationship with both parents.Your child shouldn’t have to choose sides. They shouldn’t feel guilty for loving their mother or father. They shouldn’t have to carry the weight of problems that belong between adults.Sometimes peace means accepting that you and your child’s other parent may never see everything the same way. That’s okay. You don’t have to agree on everything to work together. You just have to understand that your child deserves both parents when it is safe and healthy for them.Stop using the child as a messenger. Stop speaking negatively about the other parent in front of them. Stop making decisions out of anger, jealousy, pride, or revenge.Heal what you can. Forgive what you can. Learn from the past. Tell the truth. Set healthy boundaries. And move forward with peace.Because co-parenting isn’t about winning against each other. It’s about making sure the child doesn’t lose because the relationship ended.

    The Danger of Imaginary Scenarios

Ever catch yourself imagining worst-case scenarios about people who’ve done nothing to you? Or maybe everything in your life finally starts going well, but instead of enjoying the moment, your mind starts creating negative scenarios about what could go wrong?Sometimes we can become so used to disappointment, betrayal, heartbreak, rejection, or things not working out that we start expecting something bad to happen—even when there’s no evidence that anything is wrong. We overthink conversations. We question people’s intentions. We assume someone is going to hurt us. We create situations in our minds that haven’t happened and may never happen. And sometimes, when life finally starts getting good, we become uncomfortable with the peace because we’re waiting for the other shoe to drop. But constantly preparing for problems that don’t exist can rob you of the happiness that’s happening right now.In this episode of Off the Wall, I talk about overthinking, anxiety, trust, fear, self-sabotage, negative thinking, creating imaginary scenarios, expecting the worst, and learning how to stop allowing your mind to turn peace into panic. Not every change in someone’s behavior means they have a problem with you. Not every unanswered question has a negative answer. Not every good moment is a setup for something bad. Sometimes things are simply going well—and you have to allow yourself to enjoy them. This conversation is about learning to separate what is actually happening from what your mind is telling you might happen. If you’ve ever overthought someone’s intentions, created scenarios in your head, pushed people away because you were afraid of getting hurt, or struggled to enjoy good moments because you were expecting something bad to happen, this episode is for you.Stop fighting battles that haven’t happened. Stop creating enemies where there aren’t any. Stop allowing fear to steal your peace.Sometimes the biggest thing standing between you and happiness isn’t what’s happening around you—it’s the story you’re creating in your own mind.

Everybody Calling You ‘Bro’ Ain’t Your Friend—Some People Will Hurt You and Call It Loyalty.”

Not everybody who calls you their friend actually has love for you. The scariest part is that sometimes the person you trust the most is the person you need to watch the closest. In this episode of Off the Wall, I’ve discussed, fake friends, betrayal, dangerous friendships, toxic relationships, misplaced trust, loyalty, jealousy, envy, manipulation, violence, and the importance of paying attention to people’s actions instead of their words. Just because someone calls you “bro,” “family,” or “my friend” doesn’t mean they have your best interests at heart. Some friendships are built on genuine love and respect. Others are built on convenience, competition, jealousy, money, access, or hidden motives. Knowing the difference could protect your peace—and potentially protect your life. This isn’t about being paranoid or believing everyone is against you. It’s about being aware, setting boundaries, recognizing red flags, trusting your instincts, and understanding that real friendship should never require you to ignore disrespect, threats, manipulation, or dangerous behavior.Choose your circle carefully. Pay attention to patterns. Don’t confuse history with loyalty. Don’t confuse familiarity with trust. And never ignore serious warning signs just because someone has been in your life for years.

Stop Celebrating Bad Parenting Just Because Someone Has Kids| accountability| self growth| parenting

Society often celebrates people simply for having children, but is that enough? Does bringing a child into the world automatically make someone a good mother or father? Or is real parenting measured by consistency, sacrifice, emotional support, accountability, and being present? In this episode, i challenge the idea that biology equals good parenting. I discuss absentee parents, emotionally unavailable parents, parents who provide financially but not emotionally, and whether children should automatically respect parents who never truly raised them. This conversation isn’t meant to shame parents—it’s meant to ask a difficult question: Are we praising the title of “parent” more than the actions that actually define one?
