So much more than chicken goes into this savory dish.

One doesn't usually find the delicate, sweet and crumbly tiramisu on something as lowly as a stick. Then again, you may not have visited the Dipped in Chocolate booth at the Iowa State Fair.

Randy & Katrina seem overly excited to try this interesting food, which combines a little bit of American Chinese cookery with state fair convenience.

The Iowa Blue Ribbon Foundation - part of a group behind the state fair - decided to get in on the a piece of the on-a-stick action through their own concoction, the Fair Square. And why not put it on a stick, like everything else? It may not be the most practical conveyance device, as Katrina discovers, but at least it's something different.

So yeah, it's just fruit. But who says it can't be fun? Randy rates a strawberry.

Although the dutch letter is popular year-round in Iowa - and available on a stick at the Iowa State Fair - this sugar-encrusted pastry tends to be baked and served most often during December in the Netherlands. It's a flaky, buttery crust, wrapped around an almond-paste center that reminds one of marzipan. The home cook would traditionally shape it into the first letter of your family surname, but the most popular letter is 'S' - probably because it's easy.

Just because you can doesn't necessarily mean you should. That's about where we stand with this questionable and suggestive bit of meat.

Of course a bone is a stick. And we think the dark turkey meat tastes a bit like ham - especially when it's smoked, like these. They are without a doubt one of the most popular foods at fairs, carnivals and theme parks worldwide.

It's not an easy task to make a deep-fried pickle on a stick, but follow Jeff's simple instruction and you'll be making your own in no time.
