On The EDGE @ Roberts Park is a new podcast from Roberts Park United Methodist Church in downtown Indianapolis. The hosts are Pastor Carmen Daugherty a white cis-gender female and Candyce Offett a black cis-gender female. EDGE is an acronym for Encouraging Diversity and Growth through Engagement.This podcast aims to take an in-depth look at some of the issues that are affecting children, the poor and the marginalized including black and brown people, immigrants, and the LGBTQ+ community. We will discuss serious topics including systemic racism, slavery and reparations, the prison system, gay rights, transphobia and women’s rights. No topic is off limits. We will seek to bring in guest experts from the local community and those who are serving in the grassroots effort to bring long and lasting change to Indianapolis.
