The day SPH leadership chose money over compassion- I made a vow: This injustice will be made right. And what my family went through will not have been in vain. Mom’s gone but not forgotten. Our community hospital that my mom and her family contributed to for 70 years closed their doors to her. We didn’t know it was merely a money issue- my dad opened his checkbook and suddenly my mom was admitted. So wrong!!!I’m 100% committed and by the Grace of God will see this through!Chris Story

This has been a slog of a journey.If you are an employee at SPH... please know that these shows and sharing our story isn't about YOU....this is about the leadership and the Chief of Staff.The board is selected not elected and as such does not represent a fair and balanced skew of our service area. We need diversity of thought on the Board as selected by you the ownership! 

What is the appropriate level of compensation for a CEO of a non for profit 501c3?Has your income increased 96% in the last six years?If the local food bank serves twice the amount of food next year ought the ED get a substantial raise?Are you comfortable with employed doctors having board positions as voting members on the operating board?It's my understanding Med Staff wanted these two seats on the board. If I was to bet on this...what Med Staff wanted was to be heard...to be listened to.  You can accomplish this with a competent leader as CEO and advisory roles at the board level. Not voting members.

Today in America, there is a quiet taking, a theft if you will. This occurs every day in every state. Property Taxes.You know something, if it hadn't been for the run away Assessments Post Covid in my home town, I wouldn't have arrived at this conclusion. But they did go hog wild on assessing property upwards of 30% year over year. Took too big a bite and now, many many people are saying hold on!
