THE OTHER CITY: "Big Red Button"
I created this as a little test for the episodic audio drama I'm working on, THE OTHER CITY. I wrote the lyrics and collaborated heavily on the music. It's basically the "I Want" musical theater standard, sung by the lead at the very beginning. The rest of the story is a test of his listening skills. :)

"Nightmare Castle"
Young Benjamin leads a double life: to everyone on the block, he's just an ordinary kid, but he's actually the secret agent Mission Impossible, complete with a hidden headquarters beneath his bedroom floor. When his cat general Sophie assigns him an urgent mission to infiltrate the legendary Nightmare Castle—a place filled with real nightmares and guarded by a living sphinx—Benjamin activates his secret gadgets and sets off on a dangerous journey. But things quickly go sideways. His teleportation watch malfunctions, dropping him in a garbage dump instead of his destination. Meanwhile, his worried parents discover the hidden lever in his room and tumble into Benjamin's secret world, triggering security systems and facing down Sophie's arsenal of lasers and automated guns. With his parents trying to track him down and his equipment failing, Benjamin finds himself on foot, trekking across New Jersey toward the ominous Land of Nightmares. Armed with only a gas station map and advice from a stranger, he crosses into the Thriller Forest, where the grass turns from green to ashen grey and Nightmare Lake—black as obsidian—awaits in the valley below.A family adventure story that blends spy-fi gadgetry, playful humor, and genuine peril, as a young secret agent races toward his most dangerous mission yet.
