Open Trolley
by Vinicius Juliani Pereira
Have you ever noticed how everyone has their own peculiar way of doing their groceries? Some people go with a strict list of products. Some prefer free-style and see what’s on. Some will do a big monthly shop, others will run to the corner for a last-minute buy. How we do it is a reflex of our personal lives, memories with loved ones, and culture-specific rituals.Welcome to Open Trolley. In every episode, I’m gonna partner with someone and follow their grocery shopping style, learning about their culture, how they choose their tomatoes, and whether or not we are on the same page about frozen food. This podcast is not about how we do things differently, but how we do them similarly. If anything, this will highlight how our affective trajectories are intertwined in mundane everyday life activities. Oh, and you will also meet some of my friends and catch up with me!

Last shop, paneer, and supermarket etiquette
In this Open Trolley, I went shopping* with my friend Nickhil Sharma. The recording is from a couple of months ago, when he was saying goodbye to the UK and moving to India. Enjoy!*The brands mentioned, and the supermarket chain, have not sponsored this podcast — but maybe they want to? 👀
