London-based DJ Dom Servini is a man of music and a pillar of the international soulful music scene. Dave Howell’s Music for Beaches… 90 minutes of beautiful music for chilled souls from the Sydney-based DJ and host of Music for Beaches. Today’s show is a show of two halves. Part one is recent favourites featuring on heavy rotation at MFB HQ. Part two is a celebration of summer with a gentle blend of music on the theme of summer. Johnny is a very old friend of mine and a resident at Free Rotation, and he kindly allowed us to record his set. It’s all original music running from two MPCs — a full sixty-minute live show. I gave it a quick check, but what they heard in the room is what you’re listening to now. We also recorded Billy Nasty’s amazing set and Forest Drive West at the festival, but it was all a bit hasty trying to get everything compiled and checked off in time — this only happened yesterday. So on next month’s show, if everything goes to plan, we’ll have Forest Drive West and Billy Nasty’s recordings from the festival.
