Orbit for Creators
by Valentin - The European Creator Guy
Orbit for Creators is a show about exploring how creators succeed today and what that success looks like. Each episode tackles a real challenge creators face, through conversations with people who’ve found meaningful solutions. The show is built on shared truths from the broader creator journey, not opinions or a single experience. Providing a canvas for our guests, introducing them to our audience, and every video answers a single question, creators ask every day. Forget the algorithm. Create with friends.

The Biggest Problem Every Creator is Hiding
Join the creator trust club: https://www.patreon.com/OrbitforCreatorsWhen I attended Press Publish NY last year I got the chance to talk to creators like Cleo Abram, Presongoes and Christophe from the New Press. What surprised me was that no matter how successful a creator is they still feel isolated and lonely. But every content creator faces this challenge at some point. That's why I put togther this evidence based guide on how to make friends as a youtuber. I hope this helps you make more connections. 0:00 The hidden problem0:49 The power of proximity2:43 Put in the time4:40 A shared direction5:52 Make them the hero6:47 Take the first stepStock footage used from Uppbeathttps://share.uppbeat.io/orbit-for-creators

What I learned from a Business Coach about becoming invicible -Nick Himo Interview
Get your guide to becoming an invincible creator → https://newsletter.orbitforcreators.com/invincibleRecently I rediscovered a one page content strategy that reminded me very much of the principles behind building an invincible company. To understand this better and see how we can apply it to building a resilient content creator business I called up my friend and business coach @NickHimo .He is an expert on this topic and shared his insights to help you get out of the messy middle. What I learned from making shorts for 90 days
Get the one page Content Strategy: https://newsletter.orbitforcreators.com/As someone who's trying to grow a YouTube channel I kept hearing the same advice: Go make short form content. But personally I never enjoyed making it. It seems like a wasteful activity that's just feeding the algorithm. But a few months ago I had a conversation with Charles Haynes - Founder of ZigguratXYZ a Creator Management Company. He changed my perspective on shorts and I took it as an opportunity to test it myself in a clear time frame. Now that I have a solid three months of data before during and after the test I have a very clear result for the question: Does short form content grow your long form views. But it's not what I expected.Music and more from Uppbeathttps://share.uppbeat.io/orbit-for-creators

What I learned from a Cinematic Vlog Creator about success - Ottilie Interview

Become a creator trust klub member: https://www.patreon.com/c/OrbitforCreatorsGet 20% off Uppbeat : https://share.uppbeat.io/orbit-for-creators(Affiliate Link)---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Valentin's Editorial Note: Why this episode existsIn a creator economy that seems to get louder, faster and more "optimized" every day, few creators stand out by doing the exact opposite. Ottilie represents a quiet rebellion choosing to make short, reflective "postcards" that are true to her instead of full of retention hacks.I went into this conversation wanting to understand her aesthetic, but what I discovered was the heavy psychological weight behind it. Her story is a vital reality check. We talk candidly about her three-year build-up. The period of fear and perfectionism that kept her from hitting upload and why she identifies as a "very normal person" in an industry of manufactured characters. What this episode confirmed for me is that 'Orbit' isn't just about the mechanics of the platform; it’s about the courage to be normal until you find your North Star. This is a conversation for anyone who feels they are moving too slowly in a world that’s moving too fast.I hope it gives you the permission you’ve been looking for.💛 Valentin---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Chapters0:00 Intro1:25 Who is Ottilie?4:56 From childhood dream to creative career12:32 The reality behind the content17:47 The power of being unoptimized21:11 Being a YouTube couple23:01 The business of being a creator29:12 Overcoming perfectionism33:10 Navigating the messy middle---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------About the ChannelHi, I’m Valentin. What I learned from a YouTube Scriptwriter about success - George Blackman Interview

Become a creator trust klub member: https://www.patreon.com/c/OrbitforCreatorsGet 20% off Uppbeat : https://share.uppbeat.io/orbit-for-creators(Affiliate Link)---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Valentin's Editorial Note: Why this episode existsSince last september I've been thinking about restarting my channel because I felt a bit stuck. And reading about George's Whirlpool Method was a huge inspiration for me to do that with a much more strategic approach. I've known George for a while as he regularly pops up on podcasts and he's always proven that he understands how to write for YouTube but I was way more interested in finding out how he transitioned in front of the camera. Why he put all his knowledge into fairly cheap custom gpts that make his frameworks accessible to everyone and what success really looks like after working with big creators. What I realized in recording and editing this episode is that there are two distinct conversations on this channel. One where I talk to creators to understand how they achieved success and ones where it's a deep dive into the mechanics of the platform with behind the scenes talent. This conversation is a rare combination of both and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. 💛 Valentin ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Chapters0:00 Who is George Blackman1:02 From Ghost Writer to Main Character4:41 The Channel Launch Strategy9:57 The Reality Behind the Content19:11 The Ali Abdaal Effect22:53 The Business of Being a Creator25:07 The Challenges & Opportunities of AI29:33 Navigating the Messy Middle37:48 What Does Success Look Like?---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------About the ChannelHi, I’m Valentin. What I learned from a D&D Creator about success - Bob World Builder Interview
Check out Bob: @BobWorldBuilder More context in the description 👇Get 20% off Uppbeat – where I get all my music, graphics and more: https://share.uppbeat.io/orbit-for-creators(Affiliate Link)Feeling lonely as a creator? Become a creator trust klub member: https://www.patreon.com/c/OrbitforCreators---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Valentin's Editorial Note: Why this episode existsI've been into games my whole life. Diablo, WoW, Skyrim — that kind of thing. So when D&D started popping up on my radar I was curious, but it took me until 2019 to actually try it.When I finally did, I had no idea what I was doing. I picked up the Icespire Peak campaign and just started Googling. That's how I found Bob. He had this way of explaining everything that just made sense.A year later during the pandemic I started my first YouTube Channel called Cardboard Cleric. It was about D&D and crafting and surprisingly it became my first real experience of making money on the internet. But in 2023 in the lead up to D&D's 50th anniversary things got messy. You see D&D isn't just a fun game it's a multi million dollar IP that is effectively owned by Hasbro, the toy company. They saw a lot of opportunity in the anniversary to reshape the game and make more money with it. The problem was just that the community fiercely fought back and not a day went by without drama. That's when I had to stop making content about it and I was already on my path to launch this channel, Orbit for Creators. Bob on the other hand stayed in the niche and he handled it better than almost anyone. Thoughtful, level-headed, somehow managing to talk to both sides of a very angry fanbase without losing himself in it. And through all of that he built up a business. In large part because of his Patreon, publishing his own adventures, and sponsorships. He was able to build a sustainable career doing what he loves.I've wanted to have this conversation ever since he taught me how to play, honestly. Because his videos make it look effortless, and I wanted better understand the reality behind the content. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Chapters0:00 Who is Bob World Builder?1:05 The journey to go full-time9:36 Being forced to go full time16:24 When a community turns toxic23:09 Going Viral with shorts31:02 Making a creator career sustainable37:41 What does success look like?---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------About the ChannelHi, I’m Valentin. Yearly Themes: How I Set Resolutions That Can't Fail
In this episode, we explore the concept of Yearly Themes, a flexible productivity principle popularized by CGP Grey and the Cortex Podcast.Instead of setting rigid goals (like "go to the gym every day") that shatter the moment you miss one, a Theme acts as a compass to help you "steer the ship". We discuss why themes are superior for habit forming, how to conduct a Year in Review, and why we are pivoting our creator businesses in 2026.We also dive deep into the reality of building a creator product versus a community, and why the "marketing funnel" is better visualized as a series of opulent rooms.Connect with me onLinkedIn https://www.linkedin.com/in/vfarkasch/Instagram https://www.instagram.com/orbitforcreators/Music from Uppbeat https://share.uppbeat.io/orbit-for-creatorsSubtitles made with Magic Subtitles https://www.mralextech.com/magicsubtitle/2tj0zThumbnail tested on on ClickPilot https://clickpilot.app?aff=nDNrp

What if a single 30-day challenge could change your life? @JustinEspejo is a creator who turned one month of posting short-form content into a full-time creative career. From landing a major brand collaboration with Adobe to writing a book that helps other creators find their voice, Justin’s journey proves that it’s not about the gear — it’s about the story. His most high-profile video wasn’t filmed on fancy cameras or edited with high-end software. It was shot entirely on the stock iPhone app, no color grading, no gear. But it still worked because it had a story people connected with. If you're starting out, forget the pressure to over-edit or over-produce. Justin shares how storytelling and relatability keep people watching, even with just a phone in your hand. How Simone Ferretti Builds Epic YouTube Studios
Get the newsletter → https://newsletter.orbitforcreators.com/If you’re a solo creator trying to level up your video presence whether you're filming from home, a spare bedroom, or wherever you can set up a tripod — this episode is for you. Especially if you're somewhere in the messy middle making talking-head videos or online course content, and doing it all yourself. @sferro21 is the definition of a DIY problem solver. He’s not chasing gear trends or studio perfection, he’s figured out how to look pro anywhere, with minimal budget and a lot of repetition. Think: indie filmmaker turned teacher, sharing hard-earned systems that actually work.Without ever planning to, Simone built a 6-figure creator business by helping over 1,300 people upgrade their video setup. What started as a personal fix, trying to look decent on camera while traveling as a digital nomad turned into a viral niche and a full-on business. His tactical advice is refreshingly simple: don’t buy a camera first. Buy a 60W light and a foldable softbox. Lighting and background design matter way more than the gear in your hand.Because here’s the real truth: when you don’t like how you look on camera, you stop hitting record. And that confidence drop? It kills momentum. But a few small tweaks, better lighting, a balanced background can flip that switch from “I hate this” to “this looks legit.”This episode is about that shift from hesitation to action. Despite having fewer than 10,000 subscribers, Jason is already being invited to high-profile creator events — building the kind of access most people assume requires a massive audience.Behind the scenes, he’s built a system that keeps him grounded: whiteboards, strict time blocks, and protected focus days — especially Fridays, which he keeps sacred just to write and reset. But underneath it all is a deeper transformation — from having a full production team to doing everything alone overnight.
