MLB is still being tuned, especially around model combinations, but there are a few angles starting to stand out.Today's Lean Picks Edmonton (strongest signal) Pittsburgh (lean) Carolina (lean) Minnesota (lean)MLB focus right now is on No Run First Inning and improving internal model combinations while new momentum-based systems are being built.Full NHL, NBA, and MLB slate access available at otterline.clubNBA consensus picks at otterline.club/nba/consensus

The Otter Line Report | March 30, 2025 — MLB No-Run First Innings Are Cooking
The Otter Line Report — March 30, 2025Hockey has stalled, the NBA is in a murky late-season stretch, and MLB has quietly become the sharpest play on the board. Chris walks through why the no-run first inning picks have been the standout performer — 24-11 (69%) at the Elite and Verified tiers — and how the model is being actively refined to push money line accuracy higher.Tonight's action covers three no-run first innings (Minnesota, Detroit, San Francisco) and a single Elite-tier money line play on Boston over Houston, backed by 3/3 model agreement.Chris also covers how he's filtering bets right now: Platinum picks on NHL, Sniper picks on NBA, and Elite/Verified only on MLB. When the volume is low, the hit rate goes up.Full picks and the Platinum filter at otterline.club — $10/month.

Otterline Report Mar 26 | MLB Launch, NRFI Picks, NHL & NBA
Otterline Report – March 26MLB is live. Yesterday was the first game the Otterline ever predicted and we got it right. Money line and no-run first inning (NRFI) both hit. 2-0 on MLB day one.NHL went 0-2. NBA went 6-6. But with MLB now running, there's so much volume. Hockey and basketball are tricky right now with teams tanking or locked into seeds. MLB is where the action is.NRFI board is up with tiers to track pick strength. Finding starting pitchers wasn't as hard as expected. Data is available.Today's Picks Detroit vs San Diego NRFI (Elite) Minnesota NRFI Tampa NRFI New York Knicks (Elite, value edge) Nashville PredatorsKnicks are a surprise value edge at good odds. Nashville fighting for a playoff spot with strong last-10 momentum.Full slate at otterline.club

Otterline Report Mar 18 | NHL & NBA Picks
Otterline Report – March 18Great day for picks. NHL and NBA both have solid signals after a quiet stretch in basketball.Yesterday: NHL went 5-4, NBA went 7-2. Panthers tank continues with a loss to Vancouver. Nashville upset the Kings again.NHL Sniper pick is live at 23-10 (70% win rate). Three diamond picks tonight: St. Louis, Ottawa, New Jersey. All roughly 50-50 splits with high confidence.NBA finally has featured picks again. LAC and Houston show up across multiple filters including Sniper (14-9, 61%) and Elite.Today's Picks St. Louis Blues (Diamond) Ottawa Senators (Diamond) New Jersey Devils (Diamond) LA Clippers Houston RocketsAlso discussed: Coda V1 engine testing, upset tracker data, and which teams to fade as favorites.Full slate at otterline.club

Otterline Report Mar 16 | NHL & NBA Picks
Otterline Report – March 16NHL went 3-3 yesterday. Panthers took a tough loss to Seattle but the Edmonton pick came through. NBA went 2-5, but the odds have been brutal lately. Hard to find value when everything is 80-20 or 70-30.The elite pick calibration from the other night is working. Now you won't see eight elite picks on one slate. Models need to be confident, not just in agreement.MLB coming soon. Excited for the data volume there.Today's PicksDallas Stars (Elite)LA Kings (Diamond)Boston Bruins (Diamond)Houston RocketsMemphis GrizzliesDallas is the only true elite pick today. LA and Boston are both 50-50 splits with solid win rates. Houston showed up in multiple featured boxes at 56% odds.Full slate access at otterline.club

Otterline Report Mar 12| NHL Power Plays & NBA Model Update
Otterline Report – MAR 12Yesterday went 0-2 in NHL. Philly lost 4-1, Montreal beat Ottawa in a close one. But NBA underdog wins saved the night. That's the nature of the game.Today we've got 13 NHL power plays. Filter out heavy favorites and we're down to three diamond picks: Anaheim, Florida Panthers, and Dallas Stars. That bracket sits at 57% win rate across 94 games with much better odds than the raw 60% power plays. The underdog value edge is 28-17. Panthers are tonight's play. Jackets sit at 51% to win, making Florida the technical underdog. On NBA, I've rolled out Nexus-3 as the main model. It weights our best-performing model more heavily. The difference is 63% vs 67% over nearly 200 games. First half was great, second half has been rough, but the data shows the path forward.Full NHL slate available at otterline.club/nhl/consensus

Otterline Report Mar 9 | NHL Heats Up, NBA Consolidation
Otterline Report Mar 9 | NHL Heats Up, NBA ConsolidationYesterday went 5-2 in the NHL and 4-6 in the NBA. The hockey side pulled us through while basketball hit a rough patch.I rebuilt the entire site behind the scenes. Now I can focus on content again. During the rebuild I ran some internal analysis and found a new edge called V3 Elite. When three models agree using a different formula, it's gone 36-13 so far. That's 73%.Today's Picks New York Knicks (NBA Featured Pick) Washington Capitals over Calgary Utah Mammoth over Chicago Ottawa Senators over VancouverThe NBA has one play, Knicks in every filter. That's rare right now. NHL has six games with multiple edges. My personal plays are Washington, Utah, and Ottawa. One tip. If you can get plus 1.5 on the spread for Ottawa or Utah, the win rate jumps from 60% to 80%. It compounds over time.Power Plays are at 61% win rate, 208-134. Spring brings MLB which I'm excited for. Should be a good few months.Full NHL slate available at otterline.club/nhl/consensusFull NBA slate available at otterline.club/nba/consensus

Otterline Report March 5| NHL Picks & NBA Update
Otterline Report – March 5Yesterday went 4-2 in NBA and 3-2 in NHL. Solid night across the board. Devils game returned 90%, Ducks at 102%, and Vancouver lost which was expected at 40%.Today the NBA featured picks are empty. The models aren't giving me anything with three-model confidence. Jazz keeps appearing with two of three agreeing but that's not making the cut.NHL is where the action is. Five power plays, four diamonds, and a value edge play.Today's Plays Columbus Blue Jackets over Florida Pittsburgh Penguins over Buffalo New York Rangers over TorontoWe rebuilt the whole site from scratch and launched a new AI engine called Koala. Zero track record so I'm not recommending anyone buy it yet, but it's live and we're testing it against our consensus models.Full NHL slate available at otterline.club/nhl/consensus

Otterline Report March 3 | NBA & NHL Picks
Otterline Report – March 3Yesterday was a weird one. NHL went 3-3. NBA went 8-3 overall but my personal picks went 0-3 because I only buy within a certain range and those three were outside it. That happens. Got unlucky on Florida, they were falling apart and it should have been ours.Today's PicksGolden State Warriors (NBA Underdog)Colorado (NHL)Dallas (NHL)Columbus (NHL)Golden State is the play. Two of three models like them at 48% implied odds. This combo hits 64% historically. Sneaky underdog: Nashville against Detroit.Full NBA slate access available at otterline.club/nba/consensusFull NHL slate access available at otterline.club/nhl/consensus

Buffalo beat New Jersey, Washington beat Philly, Tampa beat Toronto, Dallas beat Seattle, and Colorado, Winnipeg, Vegas, and Anaheim all won. NBA went 4-2. Just a super solid night to get back on track after a sleepy February.NHL Picks Carolina over Tampa (Elite) Montreal over Islanders (Elite) St. Louis over Seattle (Underdog)Carolina is the featured elite pick. Tampa on back-to-back, Carolina well rested. St. Louis is a spicy underdog at only 30% implied odds but all models are confident.NBA Picks Lakers, Dallas, Chicago (showing interest)Two of three models like these teams. Otterline Report – February 25, 2026Yesterday went six and five in the NBA. Winning night but NBA has been just okay since the All-Star break. Right before the break we went 12-1. Golden State, Boston, and Minnesota all had good returns. Atlanta was a 20% win. The losses were Miami to Milwaukee, Orlando to Lakers, and Pacers got blown out.Today's Picks Dallas over Seattle Washington over Philadelphia Tampa Bay over Toronto (Elite Pick)Tampa Bay is my favorite tonight. Market gives them a 67% chance to win. When the elite pick filter hits, you take it. NHL is back with eight games tonight.
