Over The Culture: December 11th, 2022 ("8 Diagrams")

Driving in the rain sucks, but it doesn't suck as much as those Houston Texans 😂😂😂. Gucci Mane just dropped a trap bible audio book, and it was so damn long, I couldn't get to the rest of the new music over the weekend. Wu-Tang Clan's "8 Diagrams" (12/11/07) didn't have any radio friendly jingles, but that's how I prefer my Wu-Tang. That album still holds up!!! Music ("Ninja MC 2"/"Callipygian") by Steve G. and FREE, respectively.

  2. 154

Over The Culture: December 4th (🐐-Z)

I am really claustrophobic. Like erratically claustrophobic. Respect my personal space as I will yours. Especially now with monkeypox and COVID leftovers still in the air particles. Jay-Z is the greatest rapper of all time. That's it. That's the post. Music ("Brick Wall" & "Long Division") by FREE & Ryme Skeem, respectively.

  3. 153

Over The Culture: November 27th, 2022 ("Rocky IV")

Ohio State loses "The Game" two years in a row and all of a sudden, I wanna fight Ryan Day!? 🤷🏿‍♂️ Rocky IV (11/27/85) was considered predictable and divisive when it first debuted. But did we listen to the critics?! Fuck no!!! Couldn't have. Because it's the most commercially successful film of the franchise, and it was the most commercially successful sports film of all time, until it was was surpassed by The Blindside. Music ("Ava's Dad (Interlude)"/"DON'T PLAY LIKE THAT") by FREE.

  4. 152

Over The Culture: November 20th, 2022 ("Home Alone 2: Lost in New York")

Best Friend Road does it again! This time accompanied with a stalled train!!! 🤬 Count your days train establishment, count your chugga chuggin days!!! Philmoore Green is a music artist hip hop heads should all be aware of and Dave East deserves more respect on his name. "Home Alone 2: Lost in New York" (11/20/92) was proof that the Culkamania ran rapid through the early 90s. Music ("Stage 4"/"My Niggas D-Mix") by FREE and Richy Marciano, featuring Ro Spit, Earlly Mac, Boldy James, & Scolla. RIP Jason David Frank!!! 🙏🏾

  5. 151

Over The Culture: November 13th, 2022 ("Cape Fear")

Pull-A-Part is a shittily (yes it's an adverb NOW) ran junkyard business. Fred Sanford is rolling in his grave. Kyrie's still paying the price for his online activities, but yet, still, no word on what the fuck Brett Favre is doing with mismanagement of funds 🤷🏿‍♂️. Herschel Walker is still a coon. Cape Fear (11/13/92) was another instant classic from the Scorsese/Deniro duo. Music ("Terms & Conditions"/"Nine2") by FREE.

  6. 150

Over The Culture: November 6th, 2022 ("American Gangster")

Best Friend Road is no one's best friend. It's fucking trash 🗑️. Kyrie and Kanye should become best friends. I'm sure they have a lot to talk about 🙂. Congrats to the Astros and their fans on World Series win #2. 21 Savage and Drake's latest joint album "Her Loss" has the streets abuzz and the ops on notice 👁️. "American Gangster" (11/6/07) was a return to form for Jay-Z and it definitely stands the test of time. Music ("Lose My Mind") by Ryme Skeem, featuring Ron J. RIP Takeoff!!! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

  7. 149

Over The Culture: October 30th, 2022 ("American History X")

Hey insurance agent!!! 👋🏿 Will you promise to fuck off after I take a gander at your lil quote you whipped up for me?! Please and thank you. Berner's latest album "From Seed to Sale," is 1 hour and 41 fuckin minutes, and it was all time well spent. "American History X" (10/30/98) earns all the praise for the performances in the film, namely Edward Norton's. But more importantly, the message it delivers is bigger than the film itself. Music ("Mercury Rising") by Ryme Skeem.

  8. 148

Over The Culture: October 23rd, 2022 (Reservoir Dogs)

October must be "You Got Steve G. Fucked Up Month," because, well, another coworker had me fucked up!!! But I got them together and spared them from unemployment all at the same damn time... the same damn time. Jeezy's latest album, "Snofall"is his best in a while. "Reservoir Dogs" (10/23/92) turns 30 years old today. It was Tarantino's first film as director, but it wasn't until after Pulp Fiction when it garnered a cult following. Music ("Betty White") by Jon Black.

  9. 147

Over The Culture: October 16th, 2022 (Black Dynamite)

Herschel Walker dispels the notion that he lied about being in law enforcement, with the use of his prop badge... buuuut what about the other lies??? Black Dynamite (10/16/09) is an understatement gem of a film, and Michael Jai White doesn't get enough credit for being one of the few authentic badasses in Hollywood. Music ("Betty White") by Jon black.

  10. 146

Over The Culture: October 9th, 2022 ("I'm Serious")

Someone broke into my car again, and AGAIN took nothing!!! 🤷🏿‍♂️ May there favorite Pokemon character get discontinued. Herschel Walker and Kanye West are striving for Ultimate Coonity (yes, I made that up). Quavo & Takeoff's "Only Built For Infinity Links" was a good listen, but it just doesn't hit the same without 🗣️🗣️🗣️ OFFSET!!! T.I.'s debut album "I'm Serious" (10/9/01) didn't get the love he expected or hoped for, but it obviously didn't stop his rise from obscurity. Music ("Long Division") by Ryme Skeem.

  11. 145

Over The Culture: October 2nd, 2022 (Kid A)

Over the week someone had Steve fucked up on the job. Hopefully he doesn't make this mistake again... for his own sake. Kid A (10/2/00) is Radiohead's best album, and I don't care about your counterargument for OK Computer. Music ("Black Licorice") by Ryme Skeem.

  12. 144

Over The Culture: September 25th, 2022 (Tenacious D)

Can we put the Lizzo conversation to rest?! For good?! It's been recycled and has been in the public buzz for farrrr too damn long, and I've washed my hands of the shit completely. Anywho, I went to the Wu-Tang Clan/Nas/Busta Rhymes concert. It was nothing short of EPIC. Tenacious D released their self-titled debut album on this day in '01, and it will forever have a special place in my heart...as well as my groin. Music ("Mercury Rising") by Ryme Skeem.

  13. 143

Over The Culture: September 18th, 2022 (Steve G.'s Modern Life)

Turning 39 is a blessing. It was a day of libations, football, and podcasting. Funky hoe with the Wu-Tang shirt at my job, go eat a plethora of dicks. PnB Rocks death should be a reminder to all to be very cautious in how you navigate in big cities. Rocko's Modern Life (9/18/93) has created a cult following for all of the valid reasons. Music ("Lose My Mind") by Ryme Skeem featuring Ron J.

  14. 142

Over The Culture: September 11th (The Blueprint)

Why am I supposed to care about a privileged family that has been wealthy for doing absolutely nothing?! Because I fucking don't. Fuck the Queen of England. I said it. Jay-Z's classic album "The Blueprint" (9/11/01) is a timeless gem of a classic, and it's still my favorite album of his. Music ("Say My Name") by Ryme Skeem.

  15. 141

Over The Culture: September 4th, 2022 (Toxicity)

System of a Down's masterpiece, "Toxicity." (9/4/01) Music ("Thousand Ghosts") by Priests of Hiroshima.

  16. 140

Over The Culture: August 28th, 2022 ("Let's Get It On")

Losing a loved one is never easy.  My cousin James passed away over the week at the tender age of 27, and I'm glad we got to connect when I was back home in Ohio.  You were loved family, and you will be greatly missed.  This past Friday has once again blessed us w/ great hip-hop and Hov reminds the children why he's the G.O.A.T.  Music ("Betty White") by Jon Black.  RIP James "Eazy Tha General" Young.

  17. 139

Over The Culture: August 21st, 2022 (Blade)

Had to take a week off, but we're back!  Picked up a 2nd job working for good ol' Bezos and nem.  Game, Black Thought, Meg, The Musalini, AND Royce dropped albums last week on the same day, and it was too much great hip hop for me to digest in one sitting.  And why is Game checking for Marshall like that???  C'mon bruh, this ain't it.  Drillmatic is still a fire ass album though!  Blade premiered on this day (8/21/98), becoming the 2nd Marvel adaptation to get a theatrical release, years before Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, and the rest.  Music ("Ninja MC 2") by Steve G.

  18. 138

Over The Culture: August 7th, 2022 (Rage Against The DNC)

Magenta FB is a company that steals peoples FB accounts on the promise that they'll pay you for your profile.  I'm not falling for it and neither should you.  This message is sponsored by Over The Culture.  Roman Reigns still sucks, and so does Pete Davison.  Rage Against the Machine did a free concert outside of the DNC in '00, because fuck them too, that's why.  Music ("Thousand Ghosts") by Priests of Hiroshima.

  19. 137

Over The Culture: July 31st, 2022 (BASEketball & Bill)

More piles of shit heaped onto my already "Summer of Hell." Alexa!!! Play "Toxicity" by System of a Down!!!!!  WWE's first pay-per-view without Vince McMahon as CEO was apparently really good.  How good you may ask?  So good, that I am actually going to watch the shit.  Bill Russell was a champion on, and off the court, and he will be sorely missed.  BASEketball was well received by critics, but fuck those critics and their hating hearts.  It's Trey Parker and Matt Stone in the 90s, w/ Yasmine Bleeth and Jenny effing McCarthy, so bow wow wow yippee yo yippee yay.  Music ("Word") by Great Lakes Crew.  RIP Bill Russell!!!

  20. 136

Over The Culture: July 24th, 2022 (A Time To Kill Time)

Another late episode, because, fuck it, I move on my time.  I can say I'll do better, but I don't know.  It is what it is.  Vince McMahon finally steps down as CEO of WWE after 40 years, and unfortunately, the exit isn't as graceful as he'd prefer, I'm certain.  Steph Curry is a great once in a lifetime athlete, but when it comes to "The Showbiz," he ain't it!  "A Time To Kill" (7/24/96) is a great film, and it was this film that helped me realize Samuel L. Jackson is my G.O.A.T.  Music ("Usain Bolt") by Steve G.

  21. 135

Over The Culture: July 17th, 2022 (RoboCop)

Toxic Summer continues... RoboCop (7/17/87). I'm gonna drown my sorrows in more margarita and true crime now. Music ("Betty White") by Jon Black.

  22. 134

Over The Culture: July 10th (Escape From Summer)

This summer is not for Steve G., but it might be for you!!! Laugh at my pain.  No, really.  I don't care, as long as you clicked play and at least made it to the sponsored advertisement.  Car problems, money problems, career glass ceilings, haven't we all been there???  Well, probably not all of us.  Some of us have been so great at maneuvering through life with no trials or tribulations.   And to those people, I must say "Eat a dick."  But seriously folks, Kyrie is a one semester Duke dropout, who's had his head so far up his ass, that it's just now getting him to realize, what the rest of the world has already known since he left the Cavs...and that is he's a talented fucking moron.   Westside Gunn released "Peace "Fly" God" on Friday, and that at least alleviated some pain on the membrane...for now.  "Escape From New York" (7/10/81) was Kurt Russell's attempt at escaping that milquetoast image he garnering from doing those 70's Disney films.   I feel, it paid off in dividends for the man.  Music ("Say My Name") by Ryme Skeem.

  23. 133

Over The Culture: July 3rd (or July 4th 🤷🏿‍♂️)

This was a late registration, originally intended for yesterday, but because of LIFE I was left with no other choice. Anyways happy birthday America! (yeah right). Terminator 2, Back to the Future, and Independence Day all premiered on 7/3. Kyrie and KD are both heauxs. I have a lot of things to say this time around so push play. Music ("Thousand Ghosts") by Ryme Skeem.

  24. 132

Over The Culture: June 19th, 2022 (Batman Returns)

Congrats to the Golden State Warriors (who I still abhor) as the NBA Champs.  America's favorite point guard finally gets his Finals MVP...after 6 attempts.   Vince McMahon's looking like he's in some serious shit, and speaking of shit, Drake's album "Honestly, Nevermind," is a fucking weed tray.  Gucci Mane never disappoints though!!! Batman Forever is considered one of the greatest Batman movies of all time...and you'd have a strong argument to say it's the best!  Music ("Lose My Mind") by Ryme Skeem, featuring Ron J.  Happy Father's Day/Juneteenth!!!

  25. 131

Over The Culture: June 12th, 2022 (Workin Dirty)

When a girl calls her female friends bitch, it's accepted.  But when I do it, it's inappropriate.  Does this warrant a Toxic Boy Summer??? Real hot boy shit.  Boston, you disappointed me.  You were supposed to win in Boston, and you did not.  Jason, stop w/ the Kobe comparisons.  Like seriously.  Dirty Work (6/12/98) is a slept on comedic treasure, and I'm here to combat this.  Not enough people know about this film...and those people aren't a people if you ask me. Music ("Do It Live") by Ryme Skeem, featuring Mo P.

  26. 130

Over The Culture: June 5th, 2022 (The True Man Show)

*NEW SEASON ALERT!!!* I dabble in the ratchet from time to time, but an over-abundance??? To you go Stone Mountain, to hell ye shall go!!!  Post Malone releases his latest album, and that was his final opportunity for Infinite Playlist.  Nope, don't give a fuck, can't pretend to give a fuck.   What are you?  A rapper?  Singer?  Either way, I'm not fucking impressed.  His music, just like niggas in Stone Mountain, and, just like the Golden State Warriors, can all travel to that humid place underground.  Speaking of which, Boston...please continue to do what you did on Thursday.  Please continue to roll their praline ass TF up.  Please, and thank you.  The Truman Show (6/5/98) was Jim Carrey's first attempt at a serious dramatic role, and the critics all agree that he delivered.  Music ("Searching For The Light") by Ryme Skeem.

  27. 129

Over The Culture: May 29th, 2022 (Don't You Dog Us)

I am fed up, like most of us, of these modern day massacres...in broad daylight!!!   More innocent lives being lost in two shooting sprees all within the same month!  And I'm quite certain hip-hop had nothing to do w/ either, FOX NEWS!!!  Care to explain this one for us Eastwood???  Unless the winner of the Boston/Miami series really really really shows up against Golden State, Steph is gonna get his 4th ring, and that makes me upset.  The Fat Boys aren't mentioned enough in terms of being early pioneers in the genre of hip-hop, and we here at Over The Culture are gonna do are damndest to correct that.  They were major back in the 80s and I have fond memories of them being pop cultural crossovers.  Music ("It's Raining") by  Ryme Skeem.  RIP Ray Liotta!!!

  28. 128

Over The Culture: May 22nd, 2022 (Fearsome and Loathsome)

It seems like just about most of the time, truck drivers have a total disregard or care for those around them...all because they "got a big trawk, I do reckon..."  Yeah, fuck em.  The way these playoffs are looking, the Warriors are gonna be back in the Finals, unless, Dallas can figure something out quick, fast, and in a hurry.  Boldy James releases his latest album "Killing Nothing," and every track on there stellar.  HBO Max released a new documentary covering the life of the late great George Carlin, called "George Carlin's American Dream," and it should be seen by all fans of comedy.  "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" (5/22/98) is one of the few Johnny Depp movies that I will never get tired of.  Music ("Stand Tall") by Keep Right, featuring Zai McKinney.

  29. 127

    Over The Culture: May 15th, 2022 (Lateral-ish)

Pollen season is kicking my behind this time around, which is why I may sound Bea Arthur-ish, so yeah, pollen sucks. Young Thug and Gunna catch RICO charges over the week, more on NBA, and Kendrick's latest album "Mr Morale & the Big Steppers," amongst other things. When Tool released their longly awaited album "Lateralus" (5/15/01), they reminded everyone how much they can truly push the envelope. Music ("Usain Bolt") by Steve G.

  30. 126

Over The Culture: May 8th, 2022 (Legendary)

In the wake of Kevin Samuels passing, a lot of the basic Tractor Traylor built hoodrats come outta the woodwork to rejoice, which, unbeknownst to them, further proves his talking points when he was alive. Rest easy our brother 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. The Bob Marley & The Wailers' compilation album "Legend" (5/8/84). Jack Harlow has really impressed me with his latest album, "Come Home The Kids Miss You." Like no seriously. Go listen to that album as well as Method Man's latest "Meth Lab Season 3: The Rehab" 🔥🔥🔥...you will not be disappointed. Music ("OH Yeah") by Jon Black.

  31. 125

Over The Culture: May 1st, 2022 (Batman)

Was reminded last Sunday why I don't really go anywhere... people!!! People are annoying, especially when they try to shoehorn they're shitty political jargon into conversations. Shut up buddy, no one cares. I'm glad the Nets are not only eliminated from the playoffs, but swept 😂😂😂. The latest Batman is great, but it ain't the greatest!!! Future and Action Bronson's latest albums ("I NEVER LIKED YOU," & "Cocodrillo Turbo,"respectively) are both 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. Batman and SpongeBob SquarePants both debuted on May 1st, sixty years apart ('39&'99), and both have had a major impact on the culture ever since. Music ("Long Division") by Ryme Skeem.

  32. 124

Over The Culture: April 24th, 2022 (Full Moon Fever)

Having to find a new barber can be very frustrating. Especially when you've grown so accustomed to your previous one 🥺. Iron Mike had to put the paws on a crazy cracka, and ASAP Rocky can't get out of his own way 🤷🏿‍♂️. Nets are facing a sweep in the 1st round, and I am here for it, wholeheartedly. Pusha T dropped "It's Almost Dry Out," and it is 🔥🔥🔥. "Full Moon Fever" (4/24/89) was Tom Petty's opus, and it got me through those all-nighters in BGSU. Music ("Word") by Great Lakes Crew. RIP Kay Slay 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

  33. 123

Over The Culture: April 17th, 2022 ("Smells Like OK Hotel")

Trains are so aggravating... especially if accompanied by extra long red lights. Go chugga chugga chugga yourselves to death. Nirvana debuted "Smells Like Teen Spirit" on this day in '91 to a modest crowd at OK Hotel. There was a general consensus in the building that the landscape of rock and roll, and the music world in general, was about to be shaken up. Music ("Good Position") by Jon Black.

  34. 122

Over The Culture: April 10th, 2022 (Fear of a Black Podcast)

Poor customer service is inexcusable in 2022. If I hear "we can't take any orders for 30 mins" again!?! 🤬🤬🤬. Fear of a Black Planet (4/10/90) was released on the same day as A Tribe Called Quest released their debut album, and both were necessary projects for the culture, especially to start off the decade. Music ("Thousand Ghosts") by Ryme Skeem.

  35. 121

Over The Culture April 3rd, 2022 ("Ill At Will")

The talks of "cancelling" Will Smith isn't shocking. It's just another reminder. What he did should be reprimanded most definitely. But cancel Roman Polanski before you come check for Willie from Philly. Chris Rock responded like he was supposed to in this situation. We already have seen how it's playing out for him. OH yeah, Truist, y'all some hoes.

  36. 120

Over The Culture: March 27th, 2022 (It's Like That...)

IRS pump faked me out of a refund this year, and that's why I applaud those who successfully scam the government. Yep. Fuck y'all. Ragamuffin Roommate still holding onto old shit, but hasn't the slightest idea what he wants to do with it, despite my suggestions 🤷🏿‍♂️. "Run-DMC" (3/27/84) was an album that helped bring hip-hop to the mainstream and taken a bit more seriously. Music ("Ninja MC 2") by Steve G. RIP Taylor Hawkins 🙏🏾🥺.

  37. 119

Over The Culture: March 20th, 2022 (Rapture)

People with multiple FB accounts irk the living hell outta me. Remember your damn password!!! Hello!!! (Herm Edwards voice) Scott Hall was a pioneer in modern day professional wrestling, and he will be sorely missed 😰. Tom Brady won't allow himself to be missed, and Kanye misses his estranged Mrs...as well as his babies. "Rapture"(3/20/86) has gone down in history as one of the greatest albums of any genre, and solidified Anita Baker's place in R&B Queendom 👑. Music ("Thousand Ghosts") by Ryme Skeem.

  38. 118

Over The Culture: March 6th, 2022 (Be The Bigger Lebowski)

It says a lot about someone's character when they can accept their errors, and learn from them. The biggest part is acknowledging the fact that you fucked up. Fresh Prince reboot has exceeded my expectations, and Snowfall is back giving me something to watch on TV again. Smoke DZA is one of the best rappers a lot of so called "rap fans" probably have never listened to and it's pathetic. "The Big Lebowski"(3/6/98) is probably my favorite Coen Brothers movie not named Fargo. Music ("Say My Name") by Priests of Hiroshima.

  39. 117

Over The Culture: February 27th, 2022 ("Dream Warriors")

Spring is around the corner, and part of my spring cleaning includes making bae ex-bae. Life's too short. If you can't respect my peace, peace ✌🏿. Roommate-Gate continues, and I have yet to have a finger laid on me from either of the Mice Boys. Juwon Howard had to let the Wisconsin coach know what the Fab Five Fingers said to the face 👋🏿!!! Lakers look sad, but the Cleveland Cavs do not. "A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors" premiered on this day (2/27) in '87 and it's my favorite of the franchise. Music ("Yesterday's Hero") by Great Lakes Crew.

  40. 116

Over The Culture: February 20th, 2022 (Punks Jump Up...)

No one is perfect. We make mistakes in one way or another. Sometimes those mistakes can affect others. It's on us to own our mistake, and genuinely apologize to the person that's affected. But sometimes, the effect is so great, that an apology just can't be accepted, which also needs to be understood. However, if someone threatens you despite owning your mistake and apologizing, protect yourself at all costs. Protect your peace at all costs as well. NBA All-Star festivities are in Cleveland GOhio this weekend, and by all accounts, the events have been lackluster. Music ("Ninja MC 2") by Steve G.

  41. 115

Over The Culture: February 13th, 2022 (All Eyez...)

If you are incompetent at your line of work, guess what?! You should probably find a new line of work. The big game (Super Bowl) is tonight, and it's #gohio every time for Steve. NBA trade deadline has revealed the true petty colors of some of the superstars... I'm here for it. "All Eyez on Me" (2/13/96) was 2Pac's last album he released before his untimely passing, and it's one of the greatest double albums in all of music. Happy anniversary and RIP. His contemporary, Snoop, dropped his best album since his debut with "BODR," but not without controversy.🤷🏿‍♂️ Music ("Alone") by ShaVazz The Weirdo.

  42. 114

Over The Culture: February 6th (Get Rich Or Lie Tryin')

I don't like cappin ass people... especially Cappin Ass Kelvin. He's a bitch. Good riddance. Bengals and Rams is what we got this year #gohio! I've come to terms with the fact that Westbrick just isn't fit for NBA play and it's sad. 50 Cent had the inner city youth wearing bullet proof vest styled wife beaters and I'll never forget that. "Get Rich or Die Tryin'" was THEE album of '03, released on this day (2/6) of that year. Music ("Dis One") by Canino.

  43. 113

Over The Culture: January 30th, 2022 (Beatles on the Roof)

Courtesy flushes can go a long way! No one wants to smell, or even see what you had for dinner when they walk into the restroom. Conference championships are today (LA/San Fran & Cinci/KC) and may the best man win...brings pleasure to me that neither of those men are Aaron Rodgers or Tom Brady. Beatles did an impromptu performance on this day (1/30) in '69, and unbeknownst to everyone present at the time, it was the beginning of the end. Music ("Betty White") by Bad Child, featuring Jon Black.

  44. 112

Over The Culture: January 23rd, 2022 (Hulkamania Begins)

Don't engage with conspiracy theorists, unless you don't care about overheating your brain with fluff. Not facts, but fluff. Speaking of fluff, Tom Brady will be enjoying the playoffs on his fluffy expensive couch now. Hulkamania began on this day in '84, and in my opinion, is the single most important event in the history of professional wrestling. More important than WrestleMania itself...yep. Music ("It's Raining...) by Ryme Skeem.

  45. 111

Over The Culture: January 16th, 2022 (Fully Baked)

The comedy films "Critical Condition" ('87) and "Half Baked" ('98) both premiered on January 16th of their respective years, and both featured the late great Bob Saget. He will surely sorely be missed. Cordae's album "From A Bird's Eye View" is an instant classic, and will be played heavily in the ashy Nissan. Go Cowboys ⭐. Music ("Morning Joe") by King Sparx, featuring Brew Low, SPACEBUNNY, and King Midas.

  46. 110

Over The Culture: January 2nd, 2022 (Betty Westing)

2021,imo, was a funky dog-faced bitch, word to Calvin Broadus. It had to take some more real ones (Betty White and John Madden) right before we left her ass! Both John Madden and Betty White remained relevant all the way to their passings, in their own unique way. Betty White was one of many successful performers who implemented the "Adam West-ing" Trope in their career, and it has helped innovative and re-innovate a a legendary life that will be greatly missed. Music ("Fresh of the Kitchen Table") by Great Lakes Crew.

  47. 109

Over The Culture: December 26, 2021 ("Exorcising Dairy Demons")

No COVID for me! But I do need to chill on my dairy intake...as well as shitty 90s reboots. Don't watch the new Matrix people. It's a waste, complete waste. Nas had a sneak release ("Magic") and it's 9 tracks that slap. So let's recap: Nas, YES, Matrix, hard fucking NO. The Exorcist initially received an X-rating upon release (12/26/73), but still found a way to be great and do numbers. Music ("Metamorphosystem") by Ryme Skeem.

  48. 108

Over The Culture: December 19th, 2021 ("Lil Show Of Horrors")

I totally abhor grown adults with no sense of self awareness. Like, do you really not see the other things and people around you, or are you just that much of an asshole?! Either way, 🖕🏾🖕🏾 ya. And 🖕🏾🖕🏾 Jeff Garlin and Jay Johnston too! Boldy James and Alchemist released their latest collaborative project, "Super Tecmo Bo," while Gucci Mane released "So Icy Christmas." Both albums are 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. "Little Shop of Horrors" premiered on this day in '86, and it wholeheartedly deserves all of the cult following it has attained since then. Music ("Usain Bolt") by Steve G.

Over The Culture: December 12th, 2021 ("The Chosen One")

Mondays can be a funky, dog-faced, bitch, word to Calvin Broadus. We've got to constantly apply that pressure to Mondays and NEVER let off!!! "Live In Front Of A Studio Audience" is a marvel idea. Bravo Jimmy Kimmels, bravo. Rick Ross' latest album, "Richer Than I Ever Been," is a solid project. Big Boi and Sleepy Brown's latest release, "Big Sleepover," was not and that's all I'll say about that on here. The Golden Child (12/12/86) didn't do the numbers or make as big of an impact as Beverly Hills Cop, but it was a film that happened during the Eddie Murphy Mania of the '80s, and you had to at least witness it in real time, to fully grasp the magnitude of that era. Music ("Cause/Effect") by Blackbook Theory.

Some non-driving douche u-turned into my lane as I was nearing...and the fucker decided to stay in my lane!!! Arrrggggh! If I was the guidance counselor at Oxford High School, I would've told Ethan Crumbley to use the gun on himself before he used it on anyone else...and then I would lose my job that day.  Everyone's talking about the Bizzy Bone/Three Six episode at the latest Versus as if we already didn't know Bizzy was crazy.  Latest in Roommate-Gate and my take on  "True Story" on Netflix, starring Kevin Hart & Wesley Snipes.  "Life of Crime 1984-2021" on HBO Max is a harrowing tale about 3 drug abusers over the course of three decades.  Interesting documentary, but very eerie as well.  Berner's latest album "Gotti" is solid, but Havoc and Styles P's latest joint album "Wreckage Manner" is probably doper, but shorter.  "Beverly Hills Cop" premiered in theaters on this day (12/5) in '84, and shot Eddie Murphy to tha moon!!!!!  Music ("Thousand Ghosts"), by Ryme Skeem.
