2026 update
Transcript: Hi, it's Laura! I'm about to upload a new episode and I also wanted to leave a little message, to let everyone know how glad I am that so many of you are still listening to old episodes, even when there hasn't been anything new lately. That you're still around, that you survived me leaving Spotify because I dared to want to retain my moral rights over my work, and that you're still in this space with me, waiting if I have another story to tell. I'm going to be uploading short episodes of a continued story: Hotel Olympus. About a young employee in a strange hotel. And...so that's going to be an urban fantasy story, and I am still working on several original fairy tales, that keep being delayed, by life, such as it is. And I am trying to make a full recording of my urban fantasy romance novella Coffee and Faerie Cakes. So, I'm still working on the podcast and I'm really glad to know that you're all here with me. And if have ever sent me a message on tumblr or left a comment on my website or left a review on one of the podcast platforms, like, the first two I'm always gonna respond to, I will never miss, the reviews I am terrible at. I do not understand properly how Apple Podcasts works, it won't show me all the reviews that there are but I have seen some of them and they're lovely, thank you very much, I'm so glad that I can be a comfort-listen and I hope that you will enjoy what I have planned for the future, when hopefully my life calms down a little. Thank you all very much for listening and I hope you will enjoy the start of Hotel Olympus. So, there will always be another story to tell, and until then: guard your name and be safe.

I am taking this podcast off Spotify
Transcript here: Hi everyone, it's Laura. I wanted to let you all know that because of Spotify's new terms of service, I have decided to no longer have my podcast on their platform. If I did they would have the right to transcribe or translate my stories, without even giving me the option to object if they get it wrong. It means they could change my stories without my input. That's absolutely unacceptable for a distribution platform. I can't accept these new terms, so I have to take the podcast off Spotify entirely. I know a lot of you use Spotify, and I'm sorry to have to do this, but I don't see another solution. You will still be able to listen to my podcast on other podcast apps and you can always find every transcript and a streaming button on laurasimons.com. I'm currently working on editing some longer fantasy stories to upload and I have a wonderful fairy tale about a chivalrous knight in the works, so I really hope you'll stick around for those. The new terms go into effect on the 15th of March 2024. So I will be taking my podcast off Spotify in about a week: between the 9th and 11th of March. If you have any questions, you can always email me at [email protected] or send me a message on my Tumblr: laurasimonsdaughter. I hope you'll all be there when I have another tale to tell some other day. But until then: don't let anyone steal your words, and be safe.
