We've got another seriously groovy edition of The Pete Sayek Program for you this week, as we bring the sounds and silliness in only that way we can! There's all the usual fun stuff you know and love, plus this week we celebrate the birthday of the great Buddy Holly with many selections throughout the show. Of course, we have a new Top 5 at 10 for you countdown fans, a bunch of great requests, AND we also mark the 60th Anniversary of Star Trek - in color! There are some other legendary birthdays as well, including Otis Redding and Patsy Cline (to name but a few), so saddle up, turn up the sound and Rave On - enjoy!

Well, things got off to a laborious start this week as Yours Truly needed to tackle some audio issues (STILL not sure what those darned gremlins did), but things went rather rockingly the rest of the way, thankfully as we presented our special pre-Labor Day special! It was a fun welcome to the month of September, full of great requests, a rocking chat AND our usual fun featurettes! We have a new Top 5 at 10 for you, plus we're spotlighting songs that were Number One on the charts on Labor Day in the past. We also look back at The Beatles last regular concert at Candlestick Park in San Francisco on its' 60th Anniversary. It was another smashing edition of The Pete Sayek Program this week - the joint was rockin', the music was hot and the sounds were cool! In addition to all the singin' and swingin', it was quite the day for celestial happenings, with a solar eclipse earlier in the day, and the  Perseid meteor shower at night - no wonder there were so many stars about on the show! August has arrived here at wonderful Studio C, and we've got all the great tunes to keep you cool during the dog days of summer! In addition, we are commemorating the 60th Anniversary of The Beatles' landmark Revolver album all night long this week! We've got all the sounds of The Beatles' seventh studio album, released 60 years ago this very day. Naturally, we also have our usual fun and frivolity - a new Top 5 at 10, all of YOUR great requests, and a whole lot more. It's a nifty night of merry musical magic, so settle in, take the show here, there and everywhere and most importantly - enjoy!

Boy oh boy, we had a LOT of fun with this week's edition of The Program - so MUCH fun that we just had to do another super-sized, five-hour extravaganza! It was THAT wild! The music was coming fast and furious, the requests were rolling in and the fun was in high abundance! How could you NOT do an extra hour? It's another swingin' week here on The Program, as we has ALMOST way too much fun playing music and acting silly! This week on The Big Show, we had more fun that you think you could have in four hours, but somehow we had about as much mega-maximum fun that you can possibly have - it was glorious! We had SO much fun, in fact, I almost went five hours again, but thought better of it since it WAS a school night, after all. It COULD have been the nuclear-strength cocktails...well, we had all the fun nonetheless, and if you missed it (or if you just want to listen again, which I totally encourage), we had all our usual fun 'n games, with a new Top 5 at 10, a slew of great requests, some fantastic musical birthdays, and most of all, the good fun was plentiful! Well, our show was delayed by a few days this week, but that didn't stop the insanity from living up to the usual Wednesday-night shenanigans level (even if the host was still feeling a tad woozy)! It's America's 250th Birthday and this week, The Pete Sayek Program is celebrating with all l the flag-waving, patriotic sounds one show can muster on our Independence Day Extravaganza! We have over FIVE HOURS of festive firework favorites, plus more great tunes AND all the craziness that an important day demands! It's a BIG anniversary (it's not every day you turn 250), so we just HAD to go BIG too! It was a big crowd for a special Memorial Day show this week, where (as we like to do) we feature songs that at were Number One on the charts on Memorial Day Weekend in the past throughout the program. It was yet another dark and stormy Wednesday night here at the studio, and that always makes things a little dicey - but thankfully, despite the power going on and off before the show, we had smooth sailing during the program portion of the evening! Hooray, hooray, it's finally May - and The Pete Sayek Program is here today! This week, we celebrate all the Moms out there with some Mother's Day music and memories (thanks, Moms!). We also salute the legendary Harry Lillis "Bing" Crosby's 123rd Birthday (5/3).
