Petter Cederlund (P.C. Solitaire)
by Petter Cederlund (P.C. Solitaire)
These are home-produced recordings of my own songs. I do lead and backing vocals and play acoustic and electric guitars, bass, drums, percussion, piano, and the odd clarinet, harmonica and mandolin. The recording process always begins with an acoustic rhythm guitar, laid down without a click track -I want to allow the small (and sometimes not so small) deviations from the song's tempo that are inherent in a live performance. This means you have to listen very intensely to the backing track when you record the rest of the parts, usually following the first acoustic guitar with bass guitar and a guiding vocal, and then the rest, layer upon layer. Everything is miked except the bass guitar, which is lined directly into my Boss BR-1200 digital portable studio. I hope you enjoy some of the songs you find here!
