Bergman invited three friends, Phil Austin, the show's producer; David Ossman, the radio station's former dramatic director; and Sexy Boomer Show co-host Phil Proctor, an actor and Bergman's former college mate, to form The Firesign Theatre, masters of surreal radio comedy. Arthur Eckstein's "Bad Moon Rising: How the Weather Underground Beat the FBI and Lost the Revolution" details the war between the Weather Underground and the FBI through previously unreleased documents.
