F I R S T 2016 cover! Starting it off right! Get ready for an emotional feels driven message (TRIGGER WARNING -- Skip/Don't read if you don't want to). So. Here we are. I decided to start off 2016 with a meaningful and more emotional cover (back to my roots?) that is symbolic for me. Sayoko's message is something I can relate to a lot, and unfortunately understand quite well. So, since I was 10 years old I've always struggled with depression, particularly originally caused by ridiculous amount of bullying. This lead to all of the less-than-lovely complications that come with the package. I've come face to face with a lot of problems while getting to this point. Depression incurs a lot of bad things, I'll leave you to imagine the rest. That said, I've somewhat come to terms with my less-than-bright past and want to finally let go, and make peace with it. This would not be possible were it not for the amazing people that have come into my life since starting my YouTaite journey as well as my college life. I want to thank each and every single bright light that's come into my life, particularly the closer friends of mine. Deejyung, Angel-chan and the Soundless Chorus members, FlutterBun, AnChi, THD, Project_NakuNaku, Crystal, and most importantly the brightest light of all, Sunne. Thank you, each and every single one of you, as well as the many others whom I've spoken to: you've all made me very very happy. And so, now that 2015 has come to pass, it marks roughly 10 years of my in-and-out struggle with depression. And now, finally, I'm letting go of the past. Starting 2016 with a brighter light, and a much more hopeful future. I've always loved this song and wanted to cover it, and when Kurumi approached me for a duet I suggested this on the assumption she wouldn't be interested since it's...not that popular or something?
