Phil Surkis
by Phil Surkis
I'm a vintage bass player in mint condition who decided to dust off my cassettes and forgotten MP3's. Here you'll find old band rehearsals and solo sound experiments recorded mostly on two and four track cassette machines. I'll include the year of the recording with the title of the piece. If I was playing with a band, I'll include the band name. The earliest recordings from 1983 were done on a reel-to-reel that I found on the street. I mostly played bass on these things, but I would often pick up whatever was lying around.
