On this episode of the Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman speaks to Mr. Lordi, an amazing musician and artist known for his music, visuals, cinema, and artistry. Pipeman is impressed by Lordi's latest music video, Dead Again Jayne, and asks him about it. Lordi explains that the video is meant to look like an 80s cable TV horror show showcasing a 1930s old Universal horror movie. He directed and edited the video himself, and he had fun doing two different styles, the 80s cheap cable TV style and the 1930s black and white film style. Lordi reveals that young people today do not understand the concept of television and the old cable TV show since they have never experienced it before. Lordi shares that he has never been on social media and still lives in the 80s and 90s, and he acknowledges that these decades were the greatest. Pipeman agrees, and they discuss how technology has changed the artistry of music videos. Lordi believes that the magic of the videos is gone now that anyone can do it, and the charm is lost. Lordi also talks about one little detail from the video shoot where he noticed that younger film crew members did not know how to use a film camera since everything is now digital. In this episode of the Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman speaks to John DeMena, an amazing musician who shares his story of coming to LA and going through the struggles of survival and chasing his dreams in the music industry. John's story was particularly challenging because he landed in LA just two months before the recession hit in 2000. Finding jobs and stability in the music industry was difficult for him. John lived in hostels with six to eight people for three to four months until he got a job and built his credit score. As a young adult, John was naive and didn't know what credit was in America. He thought that having money in his bank account would allow him to rent a place to live, but he was wrong. He had to learn the hard way about building credit and how things worked in America. John's early years in LA were full of challenges, but he survived and learned a lot of discipline. He believes that the difficult times he faced built his character and developed his personality, and he often says that it separates the boys from the men. John also shares his struggles in finding people who were artistically aligned with him or finding affirmation to stay together for a while. Many people come to LA and have to be part of multiple bands to pay their bills. But for John, the only way to move forward was as a solo artist who writes everything and then puts the band together. He developed a DIY approach and did everything himself. Overall, John's story is one of perseverance and determination to make his dreams come true despite the challenging times he faced. Pipeman praises the latest tune by Lunar, highlighting its amazing musicianship, and shares his perception that the band's music sounds like a combination of heavy metal, thrash, death metal, and hair metal. Alex agrees and mentions that the band strives to have a good balance of eclectic genres, which is possible because the band members have different musical influences. On this episode of the Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman speaks to Pablo of Good Bison. Pablo has just released a new EP called "Ghost on Mulholland" and Pipeman is excited to talk about it. He loves the concept of the EP and feels connected to it as he has driven Mulholland himself many times. The EP is not just about music, it also has a short story that goes along with it. Pablo, a writer at heart, talks about the importance of narrative in his music. He mentions that the story of the ghost attached itself to the music while he was working on the EP. The journey was already baked into the songs and it was a personal haunting, dealing with a literal ghost. Inspired by Goosebumps and Stephen King stories, Pablo felt a presence looming over him and he would often drive up and down Mulholland trying to get further away from the ghost. Pipeman and Pablo talk about the ending of the story where it turns out that the ghost was actually a friendly one. They liken it to Casper, the friendly ghost. The ghost had good intentions but was not good at communicating them or giving off a positive appearance. Pablo points out that it can be difficult to face such a situation but once you do, you realize that the ghost was just trying to help. Pipeman mentions that being a ghost could be frustrating as you may not know what's going on and just trying to say hello could come off as traumatizing. Pablo and Abe Mendez, who produced the entire album, were clear about the fact that the EP was a journey. They didn't know what the destination was or what the purpose of the journey was, but it was very much a trip. Pablo believes that in all kinds of trips, you bring something back with you or learn something about yourself. Writing is important to him and he says that good writing brings you on a journey. They were clear that the intent of the EP was to take the listener on a journey and discover something about themselves. On this episode of the Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman welcomes Nigel from Saxon, one of his favorite bands for the past 40 years. Nigel and Pipeman talk about Saxon's new album More Inspirations and the songs that they chose to do their own version of. Nigel talks about the inspiration behind the album and the process of choosing the songs. Pipeman shares his experience of being mesmerized by Ronnie James Dio's voice during a Black Sabbath concert back in the day. He also talks about how Saxon nailed "Man on the Silver Mountain" on the album, which was a Rainbow song with Dio singing. Nigel shares that the band are huge Rainbow fans, and Ronnie was a friend of theirs, so it just made sense to do it. Nigel also talks about the process of trying to "Saxon" each song, as they wanted to put their own flavor to it, which he believes they have achieved. He mentions that the whole band was involved in choosing the songs, and it was a lot of fun. There wasn't any song that they had a hard time agreeing on. The album, according to Pipeman, sounded like Saxon and not like the original songs, which Nigel says was intentional. On this episode of the Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman speaks to HIM from Sermon, to talk about their new album and the state of the world today. The conversation starts with Pipeman telling HIM that he is excited to have them on the show because they have some killer new music. HIM thanks Pipeman for the introduction and Pipeman responds by saying that he is from the New York, New Jersey area and he is brutally honest. HIM jokingly says that Pipeman should have told them if their music was crap. This sparks an idea in Pipeman’s mind to start off all interviews in the same manner. Pipeman talks about how HIM’s new album is all about what the world is going through today and how hateful people are, which really burns him all the time. This is why Pipeman loves HIM’s new music. HIM agrees with Pipeman, saying that the subject of the album is interchangeable with most of human history, but it feels more potent now because of the internet. Pipeman responds, saying that sometimes he thinks they were better off without the internet and social media and not knowing how hateful people were. HIM agrees and adds that it is nice to be able to shut off from the noise if you want to, but it is difficult to have a day where you can escape that kind of information. The conversation takes a lighter turn when Pipeman shares that he was in Bali for a couple of months and how he was able to escape all the noise from social media and the internet. HIM expresses interest in Bali and asks what religion is predominant in Bali. Pipeman says that most of it is Hindu, but they also have Buddhism. He adds that it is cool to see two different philosophies sharing a temple. HIM agrees and shares about multi-faith prayer rooms in museums, where Catholics and Muslims pray together, and says it's a beautiful thing to witness. He mentions that he was a touring guitar technician and had put bands together in the past, but they always fell apart. After moving to Wilmington, North Carolina, he became friends with one of the local music shop guys who was building a studio and offered his services. The studio's business partner was the band's other guitar player, Worth, and after meeting each other, they realized that their ideas of what a band should be were aligned. They started creating music together, and when they had a few cohesive tracks, they got a friend to come and do some drums. Afterward, they convinced Jeremy, whom Tristan had met through touring, to join the band. The band now has its unique sound, and while it may not be reinventing the wheel, it has its voice. Pipemanradio talks with Steve Zing to discuss the music video for "blackout" which will be coming out in April. And as well the current album "The Wating" and all things Blak29 and Steve Zing.Coming from a background boasting such names as Samhain, Mourning Noise, and even the unholy legion that is Danzig, Steve Zing presents a new record from his current band and passion project, Blak29. The upcoming album The Waiting will be released on Cleopatra Records on March 3 and will be available on all streaming platforms. “Bleeding Love” is about the torments of life in this world, whether it be driven by love, anger, or the push and pull of what we are supposed to believe in and the fact that we are to think that someone else's beliefs is the right answer,” says Zing. "Raging Wars in my world, I'm coming back, coming back for more." The song starts off with a driving riff and some grunge-fueled vocals that wouldn’t sound out of place in an amphitheater or a small biker bar. It’s heavy yet catchy—If you aren’t singing along to the refrain by the end of the song, you aren’t doing it right. While other songs on the record lean harder into grooves or heavy riffs, this track has some distinct flavors of Alice in Chains paired with the very unique stylings of Blak29. Featuring Zing on vocals and drums, Dan Tracey bass and guitar, both wrote and produced the album. The songs on this record pick up where the first album left off, but also hit things harder than ever before. Zing also recruited Danzig bandmate Johnny Kelly, Tommy Victor, and Jyrki 69 vocalist of The 69 Eyes, for guest spots on the record. On this episode of the Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman interviews the members of the band Fleischkrieg. Pipeman expresses his admiration for their music, which he describes as a combination of industrial metal and new wave. He appreciates that the band has created its own genre, which he finds cool for many reasons. Pipeman often asks bands to describe their genre, and they jokingly refer to their music as power slop, but Fleischkrieg has coined the term brutal wave, which they feel aptly describes their music. Fleischkrieg members credit Thomas for coming up with the term brutal wave, which they initially thought was silly but has since grown on them. When they have to describe their music, publicists ask them to come up with creative and unique genres that often lead to the creation of micro-genres, which Fleischkrieg feels forced to participate in. All the members of the band come from different musical backgrounds, but they share a common love for dance synth, metal, and new wave. This combination of influences led to the creation of their unique genre, brutal wave. Pipeman shares his musical journey with the members of Fleischkrieg, describing how he was a teenager in the 80s and lived on the Sunset Strip, where he encountered the snobbish attitude of US Metalheads towards new wave music. He recalls a funny incident when he discovered and fell in love with Adam and the Ants' Kings of the Wild Frontier, which he describes as one of his favorite albums to date. Pipeman expresses his appreciation for Fleischkrieg, which he believes has allowed him to be a metalhead and a new waiver at the same time, fulfilling his musical dream. When the opening act dropped out of Thomas’s solo “Ceraphym” show, he invited Richard to perform in their place. Richard agreed with the caveat that Thomas play guitars, and FLEISCHKRIEG was formed. The group, currently based in L.A., cite Rammstein, DK-Zero, Die Krupps, and Lord of the Lost as musical influences. On this episode of The Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman speaks to Kareem and Tom from the band Sunbeam Overdrive. The band is from the south of France, and they discuss their excitement for Hell Fest, one of the biggest festivals in Europe, that they attend every year despite being on the other side of the country. Pipeman shares his experience of attending the festival last year and how impressed he was with its organization, being a well-oiled machine with 360 bands where not one band went on late. He adds that their band must also be a well-oiled machine, which Kareem and Tom humbly accept. Kareem explains that he attended the festival last year for its entire duration of 12 days of absolute craziness and how the lineup was incredible, featuring bands from all over the world. The festival was a big carrier for French metal and an international band, making it a great addition to France. Pipeman agrees and says he is impressed by how they managed to pull off such a big festival, featuring so many bands from all over the world, after the whole Covid era and uncertainties. Pipeman also promises to promote Sunbeam Overdrive and asks the Hell Fest promoters to put the band on the lineup. He even hints that he might not come and cover the festival next year if the band is not included, which Kareem and Tom graciously accept. The band also mentions that they have not played there yet and hope to do so someday. The album has the foundation of 80's Savage Grace with a modern musicianship to it. After many years, they have reconnected, and Pipeman is excited to hear about Savage Grace's new album, which he thinks is the best they have ever produced. Chris is glad Pipeman appreciates their new music, as they have put a lot of effort into creating it. Chris mentions that despite people saying that Savage Grace's next record will not be as good as their previous albums, the band's music just keeps getting better, and this new album is no exception. Pipeman commends the incredible vocals in their music, which he says give him chills. Chris explains that the goal of the new album is to recreate the feeling of 1978 when bands played arena shows all over the US, such as REO Speedwagon, Ted Nugent, and Molly Hatchet. Chris wanted to create that ambiance and feeling in the new album. He also wanted to incorporate threads of the old Savage Grace music in the instrumentals, such as Saxon, Motorhead, and Priest, to bring people back to the late seventies and early eighties. Chris mentions that they have updated the themes lyrically to be more relevant to today's society, as the world has changed since their previous albums. Pipeman agrees that the new album is a modernized version of Savage Grace's old music, with many relevant themes for 2023. He notes that while many bands nowadays still rely on their old music, Savage Grace has managed to modernize their sound while still retaining their originality. Chris agrees that they have updated their music without losing their musical identity. Three years later in 1988, Nothing Sacred unleashed the full-length entitled “Let Us Prey” on Cleopatra Records. Unfortunately a year after that LP’s release, the band disbanded in 1989. Lead guitarist Mark Woolley, bassist Karl Lean, and drummer Sham went on to contribute to Hobbs’ Angel of Death‘s early work in the late 1980s. Woolley also appeared on Hobbs’ first self-titled album in 1988. Vocalist Mick Burnham later joined the short-lived Melbourne band Seizure in 1993.Although their tenure was short-lived, Nothing Sacred still remains an underground metal phenomenon in Australia. Crazy Tomes just released his first album since 2015 on January 6th, 2023 and it promises to blow audiences away as Tomes has been known to do since the beginning. The album, “Crazy on the Island” will include the track “King of Pot” featuring 1960's music icons The Chambers Brothers and legendary Soul singer and producer Jerry "Swamp Dogg" Williams, who also co-produced the track. "King of Pot" also has some of the last recorded guitar work by Blues legend and Jimi Hendrix's mentor, the late Guitar Shorty. This track has been a work in progress for Tomes for many years, as he wrote it about a friend who was a Vietnam veteran who was discharged for smoking pot. From there, he decided to switch his focus to the guitar and soon picked up jazz when he moved to Virginia in 1998. His unexpected journey continued when legendary American musician - and Tomes’s idol - Little Richard invited Tomes on stage to perform a song with him, where he was given his iconic name. This event validated Tomes’s path in jazz guitar, and thus he went on to study it at The College of William and Mary. Tomes’s career exploded from there, headlining the “Kenya Feel the Rock '' festival with Blues-Rock band Burning Wagon, as well as performing at the Bruce Hornsby festival before moving to Los Angeles. There, he joined the Pop-Rock band “Arrest My Sister” and performed at Carnegie Hall, and shortly after joined the band Gundriver - and soon after was hired as a bass player (and later guitar) for another Blues icon, Guitar Shorty. On this episode of the Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman speaks to The Offering who have some awesome new music with a really great message they want to share with us on the show today. Pipeman starts by talking about how he has been saying for a long time that the hippies have turned into the boomers. The guys talk about the origins of the songs and dealing with their parents who are boomers themselves. They also discuss what happened to the punks and when did they turn pro government? Pipeman tells a story of how his ex was struggling to take a video on her phone and his reply was you’re such a boomer. Pipeman goes on to talk about his kids who are so different, with two of them born in the 80’s and two of them born in the 90’s. He says the two sets of kids are so different, with the older ones being like Pipeman, but the younger ones not being able to relate to them at all. He also discusses how he realized the difference between millennials and Gen X in a work place environment and how Gen X is motivated by making a difference rather than making a buck. A little later on, Pipeman brings it back to the guys music and how this new album is an evolution of their music. He compares it to Hatfield of Metallica and how he hated his voice when he listened back to their earlier stuff, but he respects bands being able to evolve when often times the fans don’t want them to. The guys talk about how much your physical body changes affect your music and how fans often times fault a band for changing their sound. They also touch on the snobbishness of the metal industry and how much metal is going to lose when Ozzy passes away due to the torch not being passed on. Pipeman touches on how one of the band members fathers passed away recently, but fortunately, managed to hear the album before he passed. He talks about how his father loved the music and said it was the best music of 2022. He touches on how lively his father was talking about it and it made it really special for him. In its composition, the sense of spiraling into disarray and apathy before being consumed with anger and angst came naturally in its progression. We joke that it’s as “prog” as we get, between the verse starting on the 2 of a 4 count and chorus starting on the 4, the meter change from 4/4 to 7/4 in the bridge, and the key change at the end. While the song is far from “prog”, in many ways those elements fit in the song’s composition in a way we didn’t realize made total sense. They catch you off guard the same way the lyrics allude to being confused between what’s real and what’s made up. It is both a cry for help and an apathetic plea of defeat. The push and pull between “help me” and “leave me alone”. On this episode of the Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman speaks to Brad from Alienator a sludge/noise rock band from Thunder Bay, Canada who have some amazing new music which touches on just about every subject over the last couple years. Pipeman says looking at all their songs, he can’t see anything that has been left out of the discography that the world needs therapy for. Brad says music is therapy and looking at his songs are like looking at his therapy sessions, but it’s therapy for the listeners too who are dealing with similar problems. Pipeman talks about how one of the positives you can pick out of the pandemic is that the level of music we have seen since we have come out of lockdown is incredible. Brad says it allowed him to connect with his family, focus on what is important and work on his mental health. Pipeman asks about the different types of songs which are on the album and Brad says it was conscious decision when they started the band that they didn’t want to be a band with one style. They didn’t want to feel limited in what they were writing so they write however they feel. Brad explains the album deals with a lot of dark themes and reflects what has been going on in the world at the moment, like the erosion of truth in the public discourse. The don’t want to be seen as a message band, but they do want to write about something so this is how that manifests itself. On this episode of the Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman speaks to Chewy from Voivod, a killer musician who has just released an awesome new EP and is here to share it with us today. Pipeman reveals to Chewy he actually discovered Voivod 40 years ago, even before Chewy did, when Jason was in the band before he went to Metallica. They both agree they made some killer music back then too.Pipeman explains the new music EP is so cool because they combine music, anime and manga together on one side, and on the other there’s a bunch of killer live tunes they recorded in front of two of the parents of the guys in the band, which are really special to them. The guys decided to use the songs because they hadn’t been released when others had from that gig, and they’re also classic songs which also kick ass every time they play them. Talking about Overreaction, they say they love to play it live, even after all these years. Chewy says it’s mind blowing it has the same pull it did 40 years ago. He talks about how it’s a symbolic song and it represents being young and having nothing to lose, which resonates with audiences today. Pipeman and Chey quickly move on to the love they have for metal and the big happy family of a community they have, telling the story of how his daughter got hooked when she went to her first festival, asking Pipeman if he’d ever heard Bring Me The Horizon. Pipeman then moves the conversation on to Ultraman, which they actually sing in Japanese on. Chewy explains he went to Japan about 8 times and he was blown away by it, so he emersed himself in books and lessons so he picked up some of the language, which wasn’t as hard for him as a native French speaker. On this episode of the Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman speaks to Steve Luongo, someone Pipeman is super excited to be interviewing and it makes for an awesome interview. Steve starts with why he’s here today, to talk about the John Entwistle Rarities Oxhumed - Volume One, which is a collection of never heard before music, and they decided it was time for the world to hear them, especially with dans pleading with him to put some material out for the last couple years. Pipeman compliments the album cover, which he feels the younger generation are missing out on, and Steve agrees and talks about how the album cover and visuals was all you could go on for when you were buying an album. They move onto the concept of the album which Steve worked on with John’s son Chris who he is close with.Steve talks about the double edge sword he feels since John passed away, saying he still feels connected to him, but because their friendship was so long distance, he’s used to the absence of him. He continues to talk about his relationship with John and how they became connected so closely. Steve talks about the new album, saying he could have taken the live performances and cleaned them up but that’s not true to the performances. John may have hit a bad note here or there, but the energy and the performance is really what people want to hear. He also says there’s tracks they weren’t going to do anything with which he decided to include in volume 1 too, as well as a song with Keith Moon. The most prolific and significant of all his work was with John Entwistle, best known as the iconic bass guitarist for The Who. The two musicians became the best of friends. Luongo produced, performed, co-wrote, and toured with The John Entwistle Band until Entwistle's death in 2002. Their last live performance together was in Japan during the A Walk Down Abbey Road tour. Later that year he was invited by The Who and Entwistle's family to write and read the eulogy at Entwistle's memorial service in London. In 2007, Luongo served as producer and composer for a studio band he created with AC/DC bassist Cliff Williams, in which Williams recruited frontman Brian Johnson as the vocalist. The project later known as Forklift gave birth to 7 tracks. "Chain Gang on the Road" was the only track offered by the quartet and was briefly available for a free download during a run of US tour dates in 2007. In 2012 Luongo began a musical partnership with Cheap Trick vocalist Robin Zander by forming The Robin Zander Band. Zander was among the first to be asked to appear in Luongo's documentary film An Ox's Tale - The John Entwistle Story about the late John Entwistle (https://youtu.be/PwZrLRBkAfk)John Entwistle is best known as the legendary bassist for the Who. Nicknamed the Ox and Thunderfingers, Entwistle's music career spanned over four decades and he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame as a member of the Who in 1990. Renowned for his musical abilities, he was voted as the greatest bassist of all time in a 2011 Rolling Stone magazine readers' poll and in its special "100 Greatest Bass Players" issue in 2017. Bass Player magazine named Entwistle at number seven.Rarities Oxhumed - Volume One is the first in a series of posthumous releases coming from John Entwistle as part of a new partnership with Deko Entertainment and longtime friend and collaborator Steve Luongo. This first one has unreleased and remastered studio tracks, demos, and live tracks with gems like “Bogey Man” featuring Keith Moon, “Where You Going Now” (demo for the Who), and a raw live version of “Trick of the Light” recorded during the John Entwistle Band’s final tour in 2001. On this episode of the Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman speaks to Louden Swain, who have released some awesome new music they have and are here to share with us.The guys start by talk about how they sound, and they describe themselves as lots of energy, a sense of humour and a well weathered rock, which Pipeman believes is the perfect explanation for their music. Rob talks about how cathartic and therapeutic it was to write the new album and how it helped him a lot given the tough couple of years he’s had. When Louden Swain began working on the band's tenth studio album, Feelings and Such, the world looked much different than it had two years earlier. The band's frontman, Rob Benedict, had gone through a divorce. Bassist Michael Borja had recently lost his father. Everyone's lives had been altered by the pandemic that brought everyday life to a standstill for months on end. It was a time of uncertainty and change. What remained the same, though, were the creative bonds shared by Louden Swain's four members. "We're like brothers," says Benedict, who co-founded the long-running group in 1997. "It's been that way since the very beginning. We're all very committed — to each other, to the music, to the band — and that's what holds Louden Swain together."With its combination of rock & roll swagger and melodic jangle, Feelings and Such isn't just the finest record of Louden Swain's 25-year career. It's also a testament to the shared history and musical chemistry that continue to fuel the band's output. Co-produced by Louden Swain and longtime collaborator Zackary Darling, Feelings and Such is stocked with emotive, electrifying songs about pushing past challenges and turning one's struggles into salvation. It's an album rooted in trials and triumphs, whipped into shape by a band of rock & roll lifers who've had plenty of experience with both. Formed in Los Angeles and named after a character in 1980s film Vision Quest, Louden Swain made its official debut with 2001's Able-Legged Heroes. Albums like 2009's A Brand New Hurt, 2014's Sky Alive, and 2017's No Time Like the Present followed. With drummer Stephen Norton and guitarist Billy Moran rounding out the group's lineup, all four members shared songwriting duties, turning Louden Swain into a true collaboration. The guys embraced their independence, too, making music on their own terms while steadily becoming an internationally-beloved band. Along the way, Benedict earned acclaim not only as a singer, but also as a film and television actor. Both jobs showcased his work as a genuine storyteller, and Louden Swain's audience expanded as he made regular appearances on shows like Felicity and Supernatural. Louden Swain even became the house band at Supernatural conventions across the country. "I used to think that acting and singing in a band were two different things," Benedict admits, "but now I know they're not. They're part of the same melting pot. We'll play to 2,000 people at a Supernatural convention, and everyone will sing the lyrics back to us. Then we'll play a club show somewhere else, and those fans will travel from other countries to see us. Our fans are amazing, and we don't take any of this for granted."Gratitude and togetherness are major themes of Feelings and Such. Louden Swain's previous album, Foolish, had been recorded during the height of the pandemic, whose restrictions required the bandmates to individually record their instruments in isolation. "We wrote the songs while apart and recorded our parts separately," explains Benedict, who also released a solo album during that quarantined period. "Once we could actually play together again, there was so much joy and energy between us. You can hear that on the album. It feels very much alive."Feelings and Such was largely recorded during an inspired weekend that found the bandmates occupying the same space once again, locking eyes with one another and exploring their new songs together in real time. The electricity was palpable. "There's The Rub" and the anthemic "Crystal Ball" were rehearsed in a single day and recorded the following afternoon. The groove-driven "Every Little Thing" evolved out of a casual jam. "Guilty One" — a roadhouse rock & roll anthem with a monster guitar riff — shone a light on the band's humor, with lyrics partially inspired by the band's detainment in an immigration jail cell during a European tour. Perhaps most importantly, songs like "Bring It In" found Louden Swain distilling the challenges of the modern era into messages of hope and resilience. "'Bring It In' is about me coming to terms with my divorce and finding something positive about the situation," says Benedict, who doubles as the band's lyricist. "It takes a look at everything I experienced — isolation, guilt, feeling alone — and ultimately embraces those feelings. It's a song about being in the moment. We always try to find something hopeful in our music, especially the songs that are very vulnerable and open. We're always looking to make lemonade out of lemons."Now a quarter-century into a thriving career, Louden Swain's members continue to look on the bright side during moments of darkness and doubt. Feelings and Such is a tribute to that tenacious spirit. Created in the wake of a global upheaval and personal struggle, it's a collection of optimistic rock & roll songs that reflect upon the past, take stock of the present, and focus on the future. And for Louden Swain, the future looks bright. "It's a bit of a rebirth," Benedict adds. "In our lives, so many things ended at the same time. Supernatural ended. My marriage ended. We've been dealing with the loss of parents and partners, and that can be a scary transition, but there's excitement to be found in the new unknown. Life carries on and you find your next chapter. You never know what that next chapter might bring, and that's the scary part… but it's also the exciting part."
