Eloisa James tries many new things in this book - the first person POV, the significant page time devoted to new friendships, and a lot of trauma in a fairly light book. We both struggled.

Stephanie Laurens is judged on her own rubric.

Laine learns a valuable lesson about giving things a second chance.

Laine died several times while recording this episode.

Meg said it best, this is the closest a contemporary can come to a historical (which is why we like it).

While the Marriage in Crisis plot didn't work for us as you have all probably come to expect, this book is very hot.

This is a perfect Christmas novella and I loved it. The end.

Meg and Laine were both into this novella in spite of the relatively high amount of trauma. Christmas lovers take note, the title is about as Christmassy as this book gets.
