PMP Clock Is Ticking: How to Get Across the Finish Line

You've got an exam date. The PMP exam changes are coming. And deep down… you're not sure you're ready. Maybe you've already taken a bootcamp. Maybe you've watched hundreds of videos. Maybe you've been hammering quizzes over and over again hoping your scores magically improve. But here's the truth: Your quiz scores are NOT the real problem. They're just clues. A 58… a 68… a 73… those are observable results. The real issue lives underneath: How you think through questions How you handle pressure How you make 50/50 decisions How you understand the material How you approach the exam mentally That's what real coaching fixes. In this episode, Scott breaks down why most PMP students stay stuck… and how All In PM Prep built an accelerated coaching system specifically for people who already have their exam date and need to get across the finish line FAST. We're already helping students through customized 2-week, 4-week, 6-week, and 8-week battle plans with: Live coaching Focused quizzes Video training Personalized study strategies Real accountability Decision-making training under pressure This is not about doing more random practice questions. More Important Than Any PMP Topic

Today we're not talking about formulas, processes, or exam tricks. We're talking about the one thing that will determine whether you pass the PMP… or not. 👉 Your response to failure. Most people think their success defines them — how many questions they get right, how well they perform, how "smart" they are. That's wrong. In this episode, I flip that thinking on its head and show you the real truth: 💥 You are defined by how you respond when you struggle. You WILL miss questions. You WILL feel lost at times. You WILL hit moments where you think, "I'm not good enough." That's not the problem. The problem is how you react in those moments. In this episode, I'll show you how to: Turn missed questions into momentum Stop hiding from failure and start using it Build confidence BEFORE exam day Train your brain to stay positive under pressure Use struggle as your competitive advantage This is the mindset shift that separates people who pass… from those who keep spinning. 🎯 By the time you sit for the exam, you won't just "hope" you can handle it — you'll KNOW you can. Because you've already proven it to yourself. 📞 Need help? Want a plan? Want to talk it through? Call or text me directly: 757-759-5282 Email: [email protected] I'm here to help you win. Is your PMP study plan hurting you?

Most PMP study plans aren't plans—they're patchwork. If your approach looks like a little bit of this course, a few random quizzes, a 35-hour requirement checkbox, and scattered online content… you may be slowing yourself down without even realizing it. In this episode, I break down why these "Frankenstein" study plans fail. They lack continuity, structure, and a learning approach that actually helps you retain and apply what you're studying. I'll walk you through what a real PMP study plan should look like—one that builds understanding, speeds up learning, and gets you to the exam with confidence. If you want a clear plan, want to move faster than most people, and actually learn while you do it—reach out. Scott Payne All In PM Prep 🌐 allinprep.com 📞 757-759-5282

My PMP 'Bag of Tricks': How to Eliminate Wrong Answers Fast

Most PMP students are trying to find the right answer… But the real skill? 👉 Eliminating the wrong ones. In this episode, I walk through three real PMP-style questions and show you something different… Not just what the answer is—but how to think. I'm pulling a few tools out of my personal "bag of tricks"—the exact mental shortcuts I use (and teach my students) to quickly eliminate common trap answers that trip people up on the exam. Inside, you'll learn: How to spot answers that look right but are fundamentally wrong The patterns behind bad PMP answer choices How to narrow down options fast—even when you're unsure Why most students overthink instead of eliminating This is the difference between: ❌ guessing under pressure ✅ confidently working your way to the best answer And this is just a small sample… There's a whole system behind this that we build together inside the program. 📞 Want the full "bag of tricks"? How You Fail the PMP Before You Even Start (And How to Fix It in 7 Minutes)

Most people don't fail the PMP exam because they don't know the material… They fail because of what happens inside their own head. In this episode, I break down the idea of a 7-minute mental diet—a simple but powerful way to stop negative self-talk before it wrecks your performance on exam day. Then I bring on Amy, who just passed her PMP with strong scores, to walk through what REALLY happened during her exam. ➡️ She hit the same panic moments you will ➡️ She felt like she was failing halfway through ➡️ And she almost spiraled… but didn't Instead, she used simple mental resets, positive self-talk, and pacing strategies to take control—and pass. We break down: The exact moment panic kicks in during the exam What negative self-talk sounds like (and how to stop it) The phrases she used to regain control How the 150/75 timing strategy reduces anxiety Why mindset is just as important as knowing the content If you've ever: Second-guessed yourself during practice questions Felt like you're "failing" mid-exam Or let one bad question spiral into five… This episode will change how you approach the test. 📞 Need help getting across the finish line? If You Can't Explain It Simply… You Don't Understand It (Agile with My Son)

In this episode, I put my own teaching to the test.   I've always said: if you really understand something, you should be able to explain it simply—even to a kid. So I sat down with my 10-year-old son, Hunter, and tried to explain Agile vs Waterfall using something he actually cares about… building the fastest race car possible. What followed wasn't a lecture—it was a real conversation. Questions, confusion, breakthroughs… and a powerful reminder of what real learning looks like. If you've ever struggled to "get" Agile—or explain it—you're going to see it differently after this. She was already doing the work. But for four years… she couldn't bring herself to take the PMP exam. Not because she didn't know the material. Because she was afraid. Afraid of failing. Afraid of being judged at work. Afraid she'd freeze when it mattered most. In this powerful success interview, Naseem shares how she went from overthinking everything and delaying for years… to walking out of the exam feeling relieved, confident, and finally free. 💥 What changed? A mindset shift that completely rewired her self-talk Realizing she was treating herself worse than she treated her own team Getting into a community where she wasn't alone anymore Practicing real PMP-style thinking instead of studying in isolation 🔥 The breakthrough moment: She realized: She would never talk to her team the way she talked to herself. Weirdly Effective PMP Question Solving Technique (Borrowed from World's Greatest Investor)

Most PMP students try to answer questions by asking one simple thing: "Which answer is right?" But there's a different way to approach these questions that can make them much easier to solve. In this episode, I introduce a thinking technique called inversion thinking, borrowed from legendary investor Charlie Munger, Warren Buffett's longtime partner at Berkshire Hathaway. Instead of asking how something could go right, Munger would ask: "How could this go wrong?" What mistakes would destroy the value? What decisions would run the company into the rocks? By studying the bad paths first, he was able to make much better decisions. And that same idea works incredibly well for PMP exam questions. In this episode, I'll show you how to use inversion thinking to identify what a bad project manager would do in a situation so you can quickly eliminate wrong answers and see the better path more clearly. If PMP questions sometimes feel confusing or "mushy," this technique can help you create contrast and sharpen your judgment. Give it a try on your next set of practice questions and see how it works for you. The Missing Piece in PMP Prep that No One Talks About

Most people think passing the PMP exam comes down to two things: learning the content and practicing questions. But after working with thousands of students over the years, I can tell you there's a third piece that almost nobody talks about — and when it breaks, even the smartest professionals start doubting themselves. In this episode, I talk about the voice that shows up after you miss a question. The one that says things like "Maybe I'm not good enough for this" or "Everyone else seems to understand this faster than I do." That voice has a name: imposter syndrome. I break down the four forces that create imposter syndrome during PMP prep, why capable professionals fall into this trap, and what you can do to break out of it so you can move forward with confidence. If you've ever felt stuck, frustrated, or like you're the only one struggling with this exam, this episode will help you see what's really going on — and how to push through it. And if you want help navigating your PMP journey, I'd love to talk with you personally. How to Pick the PMI Answer on the PMP Exam

If you've been studying for the PMP exam for a while, you've probably caught yourself saying something like: "I guess that's the PMI answer." And usually it comes with a little frustration. I hear this all the time from students who are struggling with practice questions. They feel like the exam is some kind of trick. Like there's a mysterious "PMI answer" hidden somewhere that doesn't match real life. In this episode, I want to challenge that belief head-on. Because the truth is, there is no secret PMI answer. What the PMP exam is actually testing is your judgment as a project leader. It puts you in messy project situations—conflicts, stakeholder pressure, team issues, changing requirements—and asks a simple question: What is the best decision a strong project leader would make next? The problem most students run into is that they rush straight to the answers instead of slowing down and analyzing the situation. They try to memorize patterns instead of developing the thinking process behind good project leadership. In this episode, I walk through how I approach questions and how I coach students to think through them, including: Why jumping straight to the answers is a mistake How to identify what actually matters in a scenario How to weigh the good and bad consequences of each option Why understanding principles matters far more than memorizing terms When you start thinking this way, PMP questions stop feeling like tricks and start feeling like real project decisions. If you're stuck, frustrated, or feel like you're spinning your wheels with practice questions, this episode will help you reset your approach. And if you want help working through this process, reach out to me directly. 📞 757-759-5282 📧 [email protected]

PMP Question Super Explanations: Stop Collecting Questions. Start Testing Your Logic.

Most PMP students are solving questions the wrong way. They think the goal is to take 1,000 practice questions. It's not. In this episode, I go deep — really deep — into how you should actually be approaching PMP questions. This isn't surface-level explanation. This is about perspective. When you solve a question, you shouldn't just be trying to "get it right." You should be testing your logic. You should be experimenting with structure. You should be asking yourself: Why does this answer feel right? What assumption did I make? Where did my thinking break down? That's how you improve. The goal is not volume. The goal is clarity. You don't need more questions. You need better thinking. If you're struggling, don't stay stuck. Call or text me directly: 📱 757-759-5282 The PMP exam changes on July 1st. Business Environment PMP Exam Questions - How to Find Them and Solve Them

In this episode, I'm breaking down the force that overrides everything else on the PMP exam: Business Environment. Sometimes people aren't the problem. Sometimes the process isn't the problem. Sometimes the context changes the rules completely. I walk through: What a business-environment–dominant situation actually looks like on the PMP How to recognize when external constraints shape what's possible on a project Why PMI's default instinct is compliance before optimization The three most common business environment traps candidates fall into How PMI expects you to think about value, risk, and constraints before worrying about people or process This episode isn't about memorizing policies or governance terms. It's about understanding how PMI tests judgment when regulation, contracts, strategy, or market forces are in control. I also give you a simple drill you can use immediately to start spotting business environment forces in your PMP questions. This episode completes a three-part series on People, Process, and Business Environment—not as categories to memorize, but as forces competing inside every PMP question.

  20. 88

Process PMP Questions - How to Find and Solve Them

In this episode, I'm breaking down one of the most common reasons strong PMP candidates miss questions: they react to symptoms instead of fixing the system. In the last episode, we talked about why adding more process to people problems usually makes things worse. This time, I flip the lens. Sometimes people feel like the problem — and they're not. Sometimes the real issue is how the work is structured. I walk through: What a process-dominant situation actually looks like on the PMP How to recognize when structure, flow, and clarity are the real risks Why PMI's default instinct is clarity before correction The three most common process traps candidates fall into How PMI expects you to think about systems instead of reacting to outcomes This episode isn't about memorizing tools or adding more steps. It's about learning how PMI tests judgment when the system itself is the problem. I also give you a simple drill you can use right away to start diagnosing process issues more clearly in your PMP questions. This is part of an ongoing series on People, Process, and Business Environment — not as categories to memorize, but as forces competing inside every PMP question.

People Questions on PMP Exam - How to Find Them and Answer Them

In this episode, I'm going deep into one of the most misunderstood areas of the PMP exam: People.  (If you need any help in preparing for the PMP exam or want to join my Invite Only PMP Cohorts - Reach out to me 757-759-5282 [email protected]) If you keep adding more process to people problems, you're going to keep missing questions — not because your answers are technically wrong, but because they're the wrong first move. I break down: What a people-dominant situation actually looks like on the PMP How to spot human risk quickly in exam questions Why PMI usually rewards alignment before control The most common traps candidates fall into (escalating too early, adding process, enforcing plans) A simple "first-move ladder" you can use when people are the dominant force This episode isn't about memorizing tools or exam tricks. It's about learning how PMI tests judgment — especially when behavior, trust, communication, and alignment are the real issues. I also give you a practical drill you can use immediately to start seeing PMP questions differently. This is part of an ongoing series breaking down People, Process, and Business Environment as forces competing inside PMP questions, so you can stop guessing and start diagnosing situations the way PMI expects.

People, Process, Business Environment - Why Your Scores Aren't Improving

Most PMP candidates think they're struggling because they're "bad at people questions," "bad at process," or confused by business environment. That's not the real problem. In this episode, Scott breaks down how the PMP actually tests judgment — and why treating People, Process, and Business Environment as study categories is holding you back. You'll learn: Why there are almost no "pure" people or process questions on the PMP How PMI blends people issues, process constraints, and business pressures into the same question The difference between memorizing frameworks and diagnosing situations Why more practice questions won't fix the problem if you're solving the wrong thing A new way to read PMP questions using a force-based decision lens This episode isn't about tactics or memorization. It's about learning how PMI thinks — and how to recognize which force matters most right now. By the end, you'll have a clear "light-bulb" moment and a practical challenge you can apply immediately to your next set of PMP questions. This is the foundation for an upcoming series diving deeper into: People • Process • Business Environment — the right way.

Why Your Aggressiveness Is Hurting You on PMP Questions

If you keep missing PMP questions that feel easy, the problem probably isn't knowledge — it's how fast you're trying to act. In this episode, Scott breaks down a hidden pattern that hurts a lot of capable PMP candidates: action bias. The instinct to jump straight into fixing, escalating, or documenting feels responsible — but on the PMP exam, it often leads to the wrong answer. You'll learn: Why PMI punishes premature action on PMP questions How aggressiveness shows up subtly in answer choices What the PMP exam actually rewards instead A simple thinking model to slow down and choose better answers This episode is about shifting from reactive thinking to disciplined decision-making — the mindset PMI is really testing. If you want to improve your accuracy without memorizing more content, this episode is for you.

Can You Recognize the Real PMP Problem Types?

In this episode, I'm going to challenge you with a different question: Can you recognize the real problem type before you react? Because on the PMP exam, you're not dealing with random scenarios. You're dealing with a small set of recurring project problems — the same breakdowns PMI tests again and again. In this episode, you'll learn: Why PMP questions aren't random (even when they feel that way) How PMI expects you to diagnose a situation before choosing an answer The 8 core problem types that appear across the exam Why each problem type has predictable "good paths" and "bad paths" How identifying the problem first makes wrong answers collapse fast If you've ever felt like you knew the material but still struggled to pick the right answer, this episode will give you a clearer way to see what's really being tested.

Why You Keep Picking the Wrong Answer

If the PMP exam feels random, frustrating, or harder than it should be — this episode will change how you see it. In this episode, I break down one of the biggest mistakes PMP candidates make: they try to solve every question instead of understanding what PMI is actually testing. Here's the truth most people miss: The PMP exam is not random. It uses the same few problems over and over — just dressed up in different words, industries, and scenarios. You'll learn: Why PMP questions feel chaotic (and why that's intentional) How PMI really evaluates your answers The PMO mental model that makes questions predictable The 3 decision lenses PMI consistently rewards — and why using them changes everything This episode isn't about memorizing more content or grinding harder. It's about learning how to think the way PMI wants you to think — before you ever choose an answer. If you've ever said, "I knew the material, but the questions got me," this episode is for you. 🎧 In the next episode, I'll show you how to identify the one dominant issue every PMP question is testing — and how that makes bad answers fall apart fast.

Why Some People Pass the PMP Fast...And Other Struggle for Months

How long are you planning to study for the PMP? Most people don't have a real answer — they just keep grinding and hope they'll feel "ready" someday. In this episode, Scott Payne breaks down the real reason some PMP candidates pass in weeks while others struggle for a year or more — and it has nothing to do with intelligence, experience, or effort. You'll learn: The four levels of PMP study most people never realize they're stuck in Why working harder can actually slow you down The single biggest indicator of how long the PMP will take you How to move from memorization to judgment — the skill the PMP actually tests This episode will help you: Study smarter, not longer Build real confidence instead of burnout Become a better project manager while preparing for the exam If you've been putting in the hours but not seeing progress, this episode will change how you think about PMP prep.

Project Manager vs Project Lead PMP Questions — Simple 2 Step Process

Questions that compare the Project Manager role and the Project Lead role are some of the easiest places to get stuck on the PMP exam — especially when both answers sound reasonable. In this episode, I walk you through a simple 2-step decision framework you can use to solve these questions consistently: • Where does the problem live — inside the team system or outside of it? • Can it be handled at that level, or does it need to be escalated? We'll apply this thinking to practical scenarios and break down how PMI expects you to approach execution issues, authority decisions, and escalation — without memorizing job titles or overanalyzing org charts. This episode is about learning how to think, not what to memorize, so you can walk into exam day calm, confident, and in control.

I'm Not a Good Reader… and I Passed the PMP Anyway (Chad's Story)

If you've ever thought… "I can do the job, but I can't learn all this broad PMP stuff." "I read it twice and it still doesn't click." "I'm falling behind… so maybe I'm not cut out for this." "Agile vocabulary feels like another language." …this episode is for you. Chad CashDollar is a shipyard foreman who works long hours, has a chaotic schedule, and openly admits that reading comprehension and test endurance have always been his biggest hurdles. The PMP felt like a monster: 180 questions, 4 hours, and a ton of terminology. And then he passed. Not with perfect scores. Not with Above Target across the board. He passed with a mindset shift and a simple method that struggling students can actually copy: Start with what the question is asking Highlight only what matters Work it down to 50/50 Pick your answer and commit Don't treat "wrong" like a crisis—treat it like reps Keep moving forward (because there's no failure until you stop) This is the episode for the student who's tough at work… but doubting themselves at the desk.

Emotional Intelligence on the PMP Exam: How PMI Tests Leadership, Not Empathy

If you want to ace the PMP exam, you have to master emotional intelligence — whether you realize it or not. The PMP exam doesn't just test processes and formulas. It tests how you lead when people, conflict, and pressure are involved. And emotional intelligence is often the hidden factor that decides between two answers that both look right. In this episode, I break emotional intelligence down in plain English — what it actually is, where it shows up on the PMP Exam Content Outline, and how PMI tests it inside real exam scenarios. I'll walk you through exactly how emotional intelligence becomes the tie-breaker in People Domain questions involving conflict, stakeholder resistance, motivation, and team performance. This isn't about being soft or emotional. It's about judgment, leadership, and choosing the best response when the situation isn't clear. If PMP questions sometimes feel unpredictable or frustrating, this episode will give you a powerful new lens to see what the exam is really asking — and start choosing better answers with confidence. Listen in, and learn how PMI tests leadership… not empathy.

How PMI Wants You to Think: 7 Rules Behind Every PMP Question.

Want me to coach you to your PMP? Join my 10-week PMP Cohort starting February 2nd. You'll get a dynamite, focused study schedule, two high-impact 1.5-hour evening Zoom coaching sessions with me each week, and full access to everything you need inside my online portal — videos, simulator, tools, games, and live support until you pass. Call or text me 757-759-5282 or email me at [email protected]  If the PMP exam feels confusing… If the questions feel vague… If you keep getting stuck between two answers that both sound right… This episode is for you. In this podcast, I break down how PMI actually expects you to think — not what most prep courses say the exam is testing, but what it's really grading underneath the questions. I walk you through the seven core thinking rules that drive almost every PMP question, across Agile, Predictive, and Hybrid scenarios. These aren't tricks or hacks. They're the patterns PMI uses when they design questions — and once you start seeing them, the exam slows down. We'll talk about: Why context matters more than tools Why there are no perfect answers — only the best decision right now Why PMI consistently rewards people before process Why fixing the system matters more than reacting to symptoms Why leadership beats authority Why long-term thinking beats fast action And why the PMP rewards judgment, not memorization Think of these rules like lenses. When you use the wrong one, the question feels blurry. When you use the right one, the answer becomes clear. If you've been studying hard but still don't trust your thinking yet, this episode will help you understand why — and how to fix it. And if you want to go deeper, this is exactly how I coach students inside my live cohorts: learning how to think through situations, not just memorize content.

This Is Why You Won't Pass the PMP

Most PMP candidates don't fail because they lack knowledge. They fail because of something far more subtle—and far more dangerous: negative self-talk and second-guessing under pressure. In this episode, Scott Payne breaks down why even smart, well-prepared PMP candidates sabotage themselves during studying, quizzes, and the exam itself. Drawing from Agile thinking, Scott reframes negative self-talk as a mental anti-pattern—an action that feels helpful in the moment but actually hurts performance. You'll learn: Why fear and imposter syndrome show up specifically during PMP prep How stress hijacks decision-making, even when you know the material The difference between the threat voice and the operator voice in your head Why confidence is built during the study process—not after How to interrupt negative self-talk in real time The four pillars of the All-In PMP Success Mantra System: Control, Confidence, Consistency, and Support This isn't a motivational pep talk. It's a practical mental framework for staying steady, confident, and focused while preparing for—and taking—the PMP exam. If you've ever frozen on a question, changed an answer you originally knew, or walked away from a quiz feeling worse than when you started, this episode is for you. 🎯 Text or Call me and I will give you my All-In PMP Success Mantra System PDF so you can start replacing mental anti-patterns with habits that actually help you pass.

PMP Exam Trauma, Two Fails, and Finally Passing – Kader's Story

If you've failed the PMP exam, feel "blocked" by test anxiety, or keep getting passed over for roles because you don't have those three letters, this episode is for you. Reach out to me personally - I will help you - [email protected] or 757-759-5282 In this powerful PMP success interview, Scott talks with Kader (Dr. G), a seasoned federal government program director with 20+ years of project and program management experience—who still couldn't get past the PMP exam. Despite leading 8 programs and multiple IT projects in the Washington, D.C. government contracting world, Kader: Failed the PMP exam twice Struggled through high-pressure bootcamps while juggling toddlers and a parent in heart surgery Had a boss who was blowing up her phone during class because work was falling apart Watched colleagues walk around like they were in an "exclusive PMP club" she didn't belong to Carried deep exam trauma, anxiety, and the shame of people using her failures against her Oh… and English is her fifth language. This was supposed to be her "last attempt". She told Scott, "If I don't pass this time, I'm done. I'm walking away from the PMP." Instead, Kader completely changed her relationship with the exam. Using the All In PM Prep 10-week, incremental, community-based approach, she stopped cramming and started building endurance, confidence, and self-trust: She realized her problem wasn't knowledge—it was four-hour exam stamina. She used 20-question, 45-question, and 60-question practice blocks to train like a marathon. She integrated self-care: nature walks with audio lessons, better mental space, and intentional rest. She leaned on coaching calls and classmates so she didn't feel alone in the anxiety. She applied her doctoral research in post-traumatic growth to exam trauma—recognizing fight/flight/freeze/fawn/flop patterns and working through them. When she finally walked out of the test center, holding that sheet of paper, she couldn't even find the result at first. Then she saw it, in tiny print: "Passed." She broke down in tears. Years of fear, shame, and feeling "less than" in her career lifted in a moment. In This Episode, You'll Hear: How someone with two decades of PM leadership still struggled to pass the PMP Why bootcamps failed her twice—and why cramming is the worst fit if life is already chaotic How exam trauma shows up (fight, flight, freeze, fawn, flop) and what it feels like in real life The difference between knowing PM and having the endurance and mindset to survive a 4-hour exam How incremental learning, repetition, and community helped her break through anxiety Why failing the PMP is not the end—and how to reframe your "failures" as stepping stones The emotional release of finally joining that "exclusive club" and how it changed her confidence If you work in government contracting, IT, or program management and feel stuck because you keep hearing "PMP required," this conversation will hit home. If you've failed before or feel like this exam is your last shot, you'll see yourself in Kader's story. Who This Episode Is For This episode is especially for you if: You've failed the PMP exam once or more and are scared to try again You feel paralyzed by exam anxiety or past test failures You're in government contracting where PMP is a "basic requirement" for leadership roles You're exhausted by bootcamps that cram everything into 4–5 days You're tired of feeling like everyone else can do it but you You're not broken. You're not alone. You just need a different plan—and a different kind of support.

I Love That You Miss Tons of PMP Questions. Here's Why.

If you need help simplifying PMP concepts in a way that really makes sense, reach out and I'll teach you and create a plan that works for you: 757-759-5282. Did you know Peyton Manning — Hall of Famer, Super Bowl champ, commercial star — threw 28 interceptions as a rookie? That's the all-time record. He started as a massive failure. But he never dropped his head, never backed down, and kept learning until he became one of the greatest of all time. That's exactly why I love when PMP students miss tons of practice questions. Because every miss is growth. In this episode, you'll learn: Why mistakes are the fastest teacher in PMP prep What my Chief Engineer taught me about the best engineers having the best mistake stories How wrong answers expose blind spots and create sticky learning Why failure is rehearsal — and the path to exam-day confidence Funny, real-world analogies (meatballs, Mario Kart, gutter balls) that make this lesson unforgettable 📌 Key takeaway: Missing isn't failure. Missing is growth. Every mistake is a rep toward mastery. 👉 Want Scott to help you turn your misses into a clear, confident PMP study plan? Call or text 757-759-5282.

Scrum Roles Aren't Job Titles: They're Shared Accountabilities

If you need help simplifying PMP concepts in a way that really makes sense, reach out and I'll teach you and create a plan that works for you: 757-759-5282. Too many people think Scrum roles are job titles: Scrum Master = meeting scheduler Product Owner = requirements writer Developers = order-takers Wrong. In this episode, I'll break down what the Scrum Guide actually says about these roles — and why they're designed as shared accountabilities, not silos. Here's what you'll take away: Why the Scrum Master is really a coach and capability builder, not a project manager How the Product Owner drives value and vision while relying on collaboration Why Developers aren't "just coders" — they self-manage and own the increment The secret exam hack: PMI rewards answers that show overlap and collaboration, not isolation 📌 Key takeaway: Agile roles aren't about hierarchy. They're about shared accountability. 👉 Want me to help you crack Agile and hybrid PMP questions with clarity and confidence? Call or text 757-759-5282.

The Last 24 Hours That Make or Break Your PMP Exam

If you need help simplifying PMP concepts in a way that really makes sense, reach out and I'll teach you and create a plan that works for you: 757-759-5282. Most students think PMP prep is about cramming until the last second. But the truth is, the final 24 hours before your exam are the most important — and they're not about studying. They're about tapering down, protecting your clarity, and showing up at your best. In this episode, Scott lays out exactly how to use the last 24 hours before exam day to win: Why studying past lunch the day before is a mistake What to lock in 2–3 days early so you're not scrambling last-minute How to spend exam-eve recharging with family, fun, and pump-up rituals Why sleep, rest, and relaxation are the hidden weapons of PMP success The Lego-at-2AM analogy you'll never forget (and why cramming backfires) 📌 Key takeaway: The last 24 hours aren't about adding knowledge — they're about trusting your prep, tapering down, and protecting your clarity. 👉 Want Scott to help you build a complete PMP study plan so exam week feels calm, not chaotic? Call or text 757-759-5282.

The PMP Exam Isn't Trying to Trick You… It's Trying to Help You See This

If you need help simplifying PMP concepts in a way that really makes sense, reach out and I'll teach you and create a plan that works for you: 757-759-5282. So many students tell me: "Scott, the PMP exam is trying to trick me." The scenarios feel unrealistic, the answers all look half-right, and it seems like PMI is playing games. But here's the truth: the exam isn't trying to trick you. It's trying to help you see the bigger picture. In this episode, I'll show you how to flip your perspective and finally understand what the exam is doing. We'll cover: Why PMP questions feel "tricky" and what they're really testing The shift from task-level thinking to system-level leadership Common situations where students feel trapped (risks, stakeholders, change requests) and the bigger-picture lessons inside them How to stop arguing with the scenario and start asking: "What is PMI really testing here?" Practical mindset hacks to slow down, zoom out, and pick the best answer, not just the "okay" one 📌 Key takeaway: The PMP exam isn't a trap — it's training your lens. Every question is an invitation to see like a project leader, not just a task doer. 👉 Want Scott to help you practice these mindset shifts and build a plan that gets you to the finish line? Call or text 757-759-5282.
