Politically Charged Mischief
by Maverick and Hitman
This an unserious podcast that covers serious topics. We do this for a variety of reasons. First, we’re friends and we nerd out on this stuff. And it’s easier to laugh about it that let the state of the world drain your energy. Second, we feel like more serious defense news sources aren’t accessible to the broader population, so we try to keep it at a level for anyone. If there are major current events we will likely cover them, but we also dive into history, movies, books, shows, video games, or pop culture. Views and opinions are personal and do not reflect an official policy of the US gov't

Is Poland Rich?
In this episode, we kick things off with some lighthearted banter before diving into heavier topics like the Israel-Palestine conflict, how media covers war, and the role of combat journalists. We reflect on historical events like the Vietnam War and the Battle of Mogadishu, while also breaking down Poland's military readiness in today's tense geopolitical landscape. The discussion unpacks the messy realities of war, media narratives, and the human stories behind them. From there, we pivot to the aftermath of Mogadishu, the evolution of military aviation, and the role of microwave technology in modern warfare. We also touch on cultural myths, how movie trailers shape expectations, Austin's growing comedy scene, and the wild world of reality TV and celebrity culture. Packed with humor, insights, and a few personal stories, this episode is a lively mix for anyone curious about these topics.

So we talked about some of our concerns, as well as the nuances and problems with politicizing any/every event. Hope you're ok with it, we talked it over and were cool. -Mav

Give Him My Regards
Anyone else getting ticked with the Chinese trying to smuggle toxic plants in to "study" (kill our crops)? We talk about that, plus their role in the global fentanyl industry (it's high, it's very high). Also, why is everything on Amazon these days just copies of copies of the same junk? Also, fun one for the week, we about the twitter argument between a young lad and the UK Royal Navy pilot who depth charged the lad's father in his submarine. Hilarious. A bit on the Kerch Bridge attack but that seems to have been a bit of a dud. But, the royal wedding we discuss might be a hit. Recommendations for the week: ZChum on Youtube, Dept Q on Netflix, and the Accountant 2 on Amazon. More content coming soon

Drinking with neighbors and drone striking Russians
Come for the Hispanic house parties, stay for the Ukraine drone strikes. Quite the episode with Mav and Hitman, some fun stuff (like watching a good chunk of Russia's bomber fleet burn to the ground) and some scary stuff (like realizing this could happen to us too). What are your thoughts on colonizing mars? Although, after today's spaz attack, who knows what Elon does next.

Maybe we should be nicer to El Salvador
Deep dive episode alert: Hitman looks into the El Salvadoran civil war. War crimes, massacres, assassinations, forced deportations, counter-insurgency warfare. Pretty interesting stuff, wasn't that long ago. So, we should kinda give them props that they're even a little stable these days. Oh yeah, the US kinda supported the government during the war. You have been awarded one yike. Book recommendation: The Battle of the Crater by Newt Gingrich and William Forstchen

Wolololololo
Pope's dead, our boys aren't Catholic and really don't understand a lot of this. Conclave was excellent though. We'll hit some talk about Yemen, air defenses, and feeding Reapers to the Houthis. Pretty sure India-Pakistan is going to more or less fizzle, but let's be honest, this podcast is rapidly turning into the Mad Money/Jim Cramer of the geopolitics world. Give it a listen, leave us a review, shoot us a DM. Or not...up to you. Ukraine, Russia, Iran, Yemen, Israel, India, Pakistan, North Korea, Japan, treaties, geopolitics, humor

Lucky Number Slevin
No, you're thinking of Ocean's Eleven. Mav is bouncing back from seratonin depletion. Hitman's hitting callbacks, mogging happy idiots on social media. China's helping the Houthis shoot at boats. N O T C O O L. Also hit some MS-13 talk. Full disclosure, might be wrong about some of this, just doing what we can with the info available. And no, the Somalians are not the tallest people in the world.

Grape Gatorade and Other Happy Topics
Folks, gonna be honest with you. This one was all over the map. Maverick was in his feels, he's not sure winter will ever end, and there's not much going on in the world that's fun to talk about. We did some talk on weird weapons in history. Triggered again by Minecraft movie reactions. Stuff like that. Oh and Hitman was in a car accident. Let us know from a listener perspective how this went. Statements are personal and do not reflect opinion of US govt

Hot or Not: Airplane Edition
Some potentially controversial takes on planes this ep. You also might have to do some googling to see what planes we're talking about, it gets obscure at times. And we really got into the plane to car comparisons, someone hit up Top Gear for us. Plus we get Hitman going down the WWI tanks rabbit hole (send to a Frenchperson in your life). Oh and it all kicks off with some social commentary, Topgolf, Minecraft movie reactions, fights on cruise ships and shopping malls. Recs for the ep: Death of a Unicorn, Behind Enemy Lines, Call of Duty World at War, the Outpost, The Dead Don't Die. Opinions and commentary are ours alone, not representative of US Government.

Operation Paperclip
Jump into the world of obscure sports, weird gun mods, and revisionist history. In this ep, Maverick and Hitman obviously have to weigh in on the big Signal group chat leak, plus the buildup of B2 bombers in Diego Garcia. Big look at Operation Paperclip and Nazi (pretty sure on this one) rocket scientists. Get smart on your history (not really). What are your thoughts on the Lusitania? Legal target or war crime (false flag)? Wrapping it up, the Chinese Communist Party just smoked a spy for leaking aircraft tech to [insert foreign power—probably us, right?]. Espionage is alive and well in 2025.Movie recommendations: The Gorge, Prisoners, Iron Giant, Brave Little Toaster, Everest All content is personal opinions only, not reflective of the US government

Airline Food Poisoning
Skip the first 30 min if you dont want some rough travel stories. Hitman gets into some elaborate detail about food poisoning on an international flight, Maverick shares some rough details as well. Past that, the boys get into details about the F-47 (new Boeing 6th gen jet). A great jet, one of the best jets, it flew and many people said it was one of the best jets. Also, damn, Syria sucks rn. We kinda got that one wrong, chat. None of this episode reflects the position of the US government. We just say what we say.

High Octane Edible (Currywurst Bowls) (feat: Warlizard)
Cool episode chopping it up with Warlizard (u/Warlizard, not of Warlizard Gaming Forums) on all manner of topics from AI models to the future of Reddit. Toss in a healthy amount of speculation on the Havana Syndrome and the origins of Lyme disease (and our own experiences with Lyme and ticks). We also get into some of Warlizard's own stories about his time in the US Army in West Germany as a linguist, in addition to commercial companies trying to make it to the moon. Finally, just tons of great shows, movies, and books talked about in this ep. Hitman Remains A Lazy Centrist
Well folks, the boys made it to Season 3. Warm up with some stories about cops, drug dealers, and drunk driving (not us, promise). First real topic of discussion is US Army soldiers indicted for selling classified info to China (for $15k? really?). Toss in some problems with military recruiting, immigrants, and security vetting, and you've got a whole heap of nuance. If that wasn't gray enough for you, weigh in on Ukraine/Russia peace negotiations. We don't have a good answer, but that doesn't stop us from trying. Recs for the week: Crimson Tide, Apollo 13, Wind River, Rebel Ridge, Pantheon, Horus Rising.DMs always open @PCMpod on X and @politicallychargedmischief on IG. Not sponsored by Boeing
Well folks, we did it. Made it through Season 2, onwards and upwards, growth-oriented sigma grindset. In this ep, the boys talk illegal Chinese fishing and seafood stuff. Going further into the matrix, we get a tangent on Cryptids and Bigfoot vids, Alone Australia (season 1), and the Boeing KC-46. Oh and the legacy stealth jet, the mighty F-117 (what're they up to???) Just for reference, two astronauts are still stuck on the ISS after their Boeing spaceship malfunctioned. Then things take a turn for the worst right around the 60min point and you're gonna get some real weird content, personal stories, injuries, and cliff jumping. Book recs: Alone at Dawn; The Mission, The Men, and Me; The Things They Carried; Matterhorn China, Taiwan, illegal fishing, Cryptids, Bigfoot, Wendigo, Alone Australia, Boeing, KC-46, F-117, Lockheed, Astronauts, MH370

We're #blessed to have Mad Hatter back for another episode of fun gloating about the Eagles win vs the Chiefs. Other than that, man, you're just gonna have to lock in to find out. Some Gaza discussion, a bit of updates on Ukraine. Doug Stanhope? Maybe. Uncle Grimmacy's ties to the IRA? Hoo boy that's a tough look. Happy Valentines Day. Go birds

Bad Takes and Martial Law Fakes
Full disclosure-this ep was recorded before two very significant events happened: the fall of Damascus and the capture of Luigi Mangione, the UHC shooter. Set that aside and you've got some reasonably intelligent-sounding conversation. Also, we don't hate the Hawk Tuah girl, promise. Just have some concerns. Also about celebrity crushes in general. And Bitcoin, how does it work? And we don't hate Turkey, they just keep popping up. Anyone know why grocery stores have three separate sections for cheese?

The Bleak-isode
Prime numbers. Mav is low energy (full NPR host status), Hitman is recovering from the plague. And boy we cannot seem to dig out of the darkness. Dig in, pour something warm and cozy, cuz Antarctica conspiracies are on the menu. Coupled with brutal kidnappings, torture (sorry, enhanced interrogation), and assassinations. Some lighter moments can be found with military equipment naming nomenclature (looking at you, M1). But then it dives back into the depths with ICBMs (or IRBMs depending on who your mechanic is), nukes, and how to survive the apocalypse. Fun times. We hope you enjoy your hot shower after listening. Heavy PETN
Yes, this one is late. We know, you don't need to tell us. Due to the sensitive topics (movie reviews) discussed, we needed extra time to edit out the spicy stuff. Lucky number 13 We finally get the artist formerly known as Topper to join for a reunion episode. Delve deep with us, as the dwarves did in Moria (too deep), for a wholesome episode of talk about ICBMs prematurely busting in their solos, exploding pagers in Lebanon (we ran the numbers it checks out), phony reaper shootdowns, sick time travel movies, and fast forward to ~40min to listen to retard math on mass conversions. Finally, the big one, the one you’ve all been waiting for: real professional analysis on The Land of Bad. Want to know how jacked up this movie is? Stay with us now, we’ll get there. You might also get some theories on Ryan Routh (alleged Trump assassin), and more importantly, what has ol Diddy been up to?

Drone-Dropped Thoughts and Prayers
You want drones? We've got drones (or sUAS for you purists). Thermite drones, helicopters shooting drones, drones shooting people, worker bee drones (ok fibbing) on that one. ABOUT THIS SHOW
This an unserious podcast that covers serious topics.
