Crème de la Cruise: Season 1

Been a while, hasn't it? It may become immediately obvious from the get-go that yes, this was actually recorded almost a year ago, as Sarah wastes no time date-stamping our recording by mentioning Harry Styles' third album announcement. There's a mountain of reasons for why this took so long to hit your ears but by this point I’m just happy it's out and I hope you are too. Totalling one whole episode in all of 2022, season 2 had an underwhelming start but it'll finally have its justice this year; we ask you to hold on tight a little longer and we serve you this to hopefully survive until then. An official Pondskippers soundtrack album is also in late production, with a couple tracks yet to be heard and a couple others specially extended and I’m super excited to have you all hear it. Where it'll be available on the internet remains to be decided but if the people want it, it can even end up on Spotify, Apple Music and the like. Big year ahead, don't miss the ride! 🚩

    Cruise #14: We're Breaking Up

To your utter dismay, Scott's April Fool's joke this year was that we weren't shutting down the show; we were LAUNCHING SEASON 2! Sit tight on a loose one here, where we try to feel out our footing for a new season whilst discussing tabletop RPGs and meerkat semen.

BONUS: Pondverse - The Captain's Cut

Our recording session for episode 13 ran nearly three whole hours long, which meant that to edit the audio down to a somewhat tolerable length, many cherished moments had to be sacrificed. For the more dedicated fans, here we present to you an extended original cut of our season 1 finalé featuring one of Scott's classic work stories, even more dazzling poetry, more laughs with our friend Berklie, the worst ending ever and many more bits riddled all throughout. We promise it's worth a listen, so long as you can withstand hearing the voices of 3 frantic young adults for a feature-length amount of time.

Pondskippers Presents: A Festive Ferry Ride 2021

Skate across the frozen pond with Scott and Sarah in this joyous holiday special! Join us as we try to brainstorm keeping the magic of Christmas, Scott’s demon baby makes a special guest appearance and we read a whole stack of festive poems. TOOT JINGLE TOOT

    Cruise #13: Pondverse

It’s a long way home but we’ll take it together. Ride this ballistic wave with us as we lay not one, but TWO segments to rest, we make many self-indulgent callbacks and we question our good friend and micro-celebrity Berklie on the omegaverse. Also be sure to stick around for a couple more surprises we still have left before the year is out and even another little treat in January before we transition into our momentous second season. Thank you everyone for tuning into season one of Pondskippers. Sail on!

  6. 11

Cruise #12: Christopher Columbus’s Cyber Interstellar Prison

You can see it on the horizon, folks. Sit with us now for a whole heap of sporadic talking topics and a branch-out on our treasured poem hunt as we cruise through the penultimate instalment of Pondskippers: Season 1! Also a mild content warning for some casual mentioning of b*st*ality.

  7. 10

    Cruise #11: Thinking About Spinach

IT'S THE HALLOWEEN SPOOKTACULAR! Barely. But we still have plenty of yelling packed in this one ready for your eager ears containing complaints about the government, Halloween costume speculations and a fun new spin on our beloved anti-jokes segment.

  8. 9

    Cruise #10: He's a Right Couch Potater

DOUBLE DIGITS! And a cold open! In more ways than one, because we are both stricken with a cold. I didn't take advantage of that pun in the episode so I’m leaving it in the bio. Sit with us as we debut a brand new backing track for Sarah quizzing Scott, we argue for way too long about houses and things get a little vulnerable towards the end.

  9. 8

Cruise #9: Let Me Give You Drink

It's season 1! And retroactively always has been. So join us as we count down the episodes to the grand finalé, with Sarah displaying her mastery of the haiku, Scott discussing his definitely real unborn child and a whole lot of general silliness.

  10. 7

Cruise #8: The Mercy of Douglas

Are we finally getting into the groove? Kind of. Maybe not, but it doesn't matter because we're still having plenty of fun along the way. Tune in as Scott puts on a bad Australian accent, Sarah utilises her expertise in speaking Spanish and we encounter the most impactful poem to date, and possibly of all time. I mean it.

  11. 6

    Cruise #7: Cabbage Purgatory

LUCKY 7 BABY! Luck be a podcast tonight. This one’s got a real fun vibe, not to say that our other episodes have been particularly lacklustre but the energy in this little podcast this week is certainly to be reckoned with. Join us as we talk at length about tail lifts, prophecise the fate of Scott’s brand new song and scramble for some poetry last-minute. Check out Glitter by Moonside Ghost, Scott’s brand new song, wherever you stream your music! Much love xoxo

  12. 5

Cruise #6: Big John Twenty Hands

Here it is; the episode that the universe didn’t want to happen. But against all odds - we prevailed. Thank you dearly to our good friend Berklie for taking a ride with us and providing some stellar insight beyond our mortal comprehension. More poetry, more tarot and the FINAL swan song of our unfortunate Meme of the Week right here on our sixth cruise across the pond.

  13. 4

Cruise #5: That Frederick is a Wonderful Bloke!

5th time’s the charm! But not really. Sit with us as Scott quizzes Sarah on British slang, we revisit the musings of national hero/poet JPizzle and Scott drinks to forget - but forget what exactly? All right here on your fifth cruise across the pond.

  14. 3

Cruise #4: Rest in Peace, Damon

We’re back! Again. Sorry. It’s been a wild one but we’re comin’ at you hot with a belated new episode once more. Join us for roasting controversial internet personalities, (or more-so just one in particular,) an incredibly worrying tarot and the first ever death of a segment RIGHT HERE on the fourth (technically fifth) episode of Pondskippers.

  15. 2

Cruise #3: Mole Woman is Thy Calling

Hey there! Remember us? It’s been a while but we’re very excited to bring you another adventure in chaos in which we return to our usual segments, debunk myths about dog tongues and argue over whether or not our friend should get knocked up. It’s a ride!

  16. 1

Cruise #2: A Tomahto, Hanging on the Vihne

Back for round two! We reflect on how our first cruise went down, read yet more bad poetry and take a tarot reading for Michael Cera. This one feels a little calmer than last time (just a little), we’re still trying to get our footing here on our lovely little show. A somewhat heavy discussion is had just before the end of the show about recent events in the UK, so just a warning to those sensitive of topics on abuse.

  17. 0

Cruise #1: How Was The Crop Fields Today, Fadher?

Calling out across the pond! Here we are with our very first episode packed full of yelling, arguing and already more than earning the podcast its explicit tag. This one ain’t for the kids! Listen to Scott and Sarah debate the American dictionary, take a tarot reading, read abysmal poetry and more! P.S. - Please do not tell us that Harrison Ford is an actor and did not make cars. We know.
