The Power in Perspective Podcast has one goal: to offer its viewers different perspectives. When Addison and I became friends in high school, our relationship deepened quickly because of one thing we offered each other: a completely new perspective on life. Whether we were talking about politics, work, issues with friends, or any other situation life threw at us, almost all of our conversations began with the words: “Look at it from this perspective.” We both quickly realized the power different perspectives hold. If you can truly see something from another perspective other than your own, your understanding of that issue will grow immensely; even if you completely disagree with the other perspective.Addison and I both share a passion for politics, even though we disagree on many issues. But what we realized as our friendship deepened was that the key to respectful and beneficial discourse was to try to see things from the other persons perspective.
