Witness - Bold and Obedient - Amy Burkholder
What if the difference between an ordinary day and a miraculous moment is simply having eyes to see?Peter and John walked the same path every day, past the same beggar at the Beautiful Gate. But after Pentecost, everything changed. Filled with the Holy Spirit, they finally SAW him. They didn't offer silver or gold—they gave something far greater: "In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk!" (Acts 3:6)Their boldness wasn't in their own power. They relied completely on Jesus' authority. And a man who had never walked in his life jumped up, praising God!Here's the challenge: Are you walking past miracles waiting to happen? When we're filled with faith and obedient to the Spirit's leading, our everyday paths become opportunities for God's power to break through. The nearness of God produces worship—both in us and in those we encounter.Be bold. Be obedient. Honor God with everything—your time, your worship, your wealth, your attention. Then watch Him fill your life to overflowing.

Witness - Awe and Wonder - Dan Ohlerking
When's the last time you were truly filled with awe? Not just impressed, but genuinely amazed by what God is doing around you? This Sunday, Dan from Children's Cup challenged us to become "treasure seekers" - people who look for the beauty and value God has placed in everyone around us. From kids in Belize finding hope through a simple meal, to a mom in Mexico whose life was transformed because someone refused to walk past her barren field. The early church in Acts 2:42-43 devoted themselves to teaching, fellowship, and prayer - and EVERYONE was filled with awe. Not because of the miracles, but their awakened hearts created the environment for miracles to happen. Here's your challenge this week: Be a noticer. Look for the treasure in the person driving too slow, the neighbor you pass by, the coworker who frustrates you. God has planted hidden gardens everywhere - will you help them bloom?

Filled - All Were Filled - Ps. Aaron Snow
What happens when heaven meets earth? On the Day of Pentecost, a sound like a mighty rushing wind filled the room, tongues of fire fell, and 120 ordinary people became extraordinary witnesses. This wasn't strange—it was the fulfillment of God's promise. The same Holy Spirit that breathed life into creation, that led Israel through the wilderness, that filled Jesus at His baptism, is available to YOU today. Not reserved for a select few, but for ALL who would receive. You don't need a theology degree to share your story—you just need to be filled with power. Here's the truth: you can't give away what you haven't received. Before we can be effective witnesses, we must acknowledge our emptiness and allow God to fill us afresh. The world is waiting for your good news, spoken in a language only you can share. Holy Spirit, come and fill us again.

Witness - For the Sake of Others - Ps. Aaron Snow
We've been confused about the mission. For too long, the church has been busy building while Jesus said HE would build His church. Our job? Go make disciples.Matthew 28:18-20 isn't a suggestion—it's our assignment. Jesus didn't call us to wait for people to come to us. He called us to GO. Your workplace, your neighborhood, your coffee shop—these are your mission fields. You don't need a theology degree. You just need your story and the Holy Spirit's power. This summer we're diving into Acts and learning what it means to be FILLED, SCATTERED, and SENT. Formation isn't just for you—it's for the sake of others. Who's in your Jerusalem? Your Judea? Your Samaria? The Great Commission is still the mission statement of the church, and it belongs to every ordinary person willing to share extraordinary good news.Witness isn't a spiritual gift some have and others don't. It's the commission of the church. The only question is: will we live like it?

Witness - Pentecost - Lincoln Snow
The green pasture isn't your destination—it's your launch pad. This Pentecost Sunday, Lincoln Snow reminded us that we're filled to GO, not filled to stay comfortable.Acts 1:8 promises: "You will receive POWER when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and you will be my witnesses." The pattern is clear: we're filled in the pasture, then sent into the valley. Not someday. Not when we feel ready enough. When the Spirit comes. Are you stuck in complacency, afraid to leave the comfort? Or rushing into the valley before your roots go deep? The pasture is where we're restored and equipped. The valley is where we use that power. Both matter. But staying in the pasture forever? That's not the assignment. The valley isn't ready for Purpose Church. Let's be witnesses right here, right now in our workplaces, schools, and streets. You've been filled. Now go.

Abide - Bear Much Fruit - Ps Aaron
What does a life fully connected to Jesus actually look like? After six weeks in our Abide series, we're discovering that staying connected to the Vine produces something beautiful: the fruit of the Spirit.Jesus mentions fruit NINE times in John 15. Paul lists NINE expressions of the Spirit's fruit in Galatians 5:22-23: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. This isn't coincidence—it's intentional. When we abide in Christ, He forms us into a people of love. The question isn't whether you're trying harder or doing more. It's this: Are you becoming more loving? Would the people closest to you say you're growing in patience, kindness, and peace? That's the fruit of abiding. You didn't manufacture it—God grew it in you as you remained connected to Him.The vine is open. The invitation to abide in His love is for anyone willing to come and stay.

Abide - The Helper - Ps. Aaron Snow
"I will not leave you as orphans. I will come to you." - John 14:18This Mother's Day, we explored one of Jesus' most powerful promises: you are never alone. Before leaving His disciples, Jesus didn't just say goodbye—He prepared a gift. The Helper. The Holy Spirit. The Comforter who stands by us in every valley, every season of pressure, and every moment we feel abandoned.Maybe you know the ache of abandonment. Maybe Mother's Day is complicated for you. Jesus sees you right where you are, and His love isn't based on your performance or your past. The password to everything the Father has for you is simply: "I love You, Jesus."You're not an orphan. You're a beloved son or daughter of the Father, and He is well pleased with you. The Spirit wasn't sent as an afterthought—He was prepared for you before you knew you needed Him.

Abide - Repotting - Ps. Aaron Snow
Are you complacent in the green pasture or feeling the pressure of an unfamiliar valley season? This Sunday, Pastor Aaron got vulnerable about the tension between comfort and growth—between remaining connected to the vine and the temptation to disconnect when things get uncomfortable.Just like plants need repotting to continue thriving, God sometimes calls us into new seasons that require new soil, new environments, and deeper roots. The question isn't whether pressure will come—it's whether we'll stay connected to the True Vine through it all.Peter ran back to what was familiar when things got hard. What about you? Are you abiding in His love even in the uncomfortable seasons, or are you unplugging from the relationship when the pressure builds? Our mission: to help reconcile the hearts of sons and daughters back to the love of the Father. Because when we truly know His love, the Church becomes the unstoppable force it was meant to be.

Abide - Abiding Produces Love - Ps Caity Snow
What does it really mean to love like Jesus? Not just feel love, but actively choose it—especially when it's hard, inconvenient, or costly. This week we discovered that abiding in Christ produces one undeniable fruit: love. Not the convenient kind, but cross-shaped love. The kind that initiates, serves, forgives, and sacrifices. Jesus said it twice in five verses: "Love one another as I have loved you" (John 15:12-17). That's how important this is.Here's the truth: we can't manufacture this love by trying harder. We produce it by staying connected to the Vine. When we abide in Jesus, love flows naturally into our lives and overflows into our community. This is our witness. This is how the world will know we belong to Him.The clearest evidence you're abiding isn't how much you know about Jesus or how long you've followed Him—it's how you love people.

Abide - Pruning - Amy Burkholder
What if the things God is removing from your life aren't punishment, but favor? 🌿This Sunday, we celebrated 4 years of Purpose Church and discovered a powerful truth: pruning is a loving part of our formation. Just as a vine dresser carefully removes branches to produce better fruit, God prunes our lives—removing distractions, dead relationships, and even good things that prevent the BEST.In John 15:1-3, Jesus calls Himself the true vine and invites us to remain in Him. But first, He warns us: pruning is coming. Not to harm us, but to help us produce the fruit of love, joy, peace, and purpose. The question isn't IF we'll be pruned, but will we surrender and give God access?Your identity isn't in what you DO—it's in whose you ARE. You're His beloved child, and He's refining you for something beautiful.

Abide - Remain In Me - Ps. Aaron Snow
Who are you abiding in? This week we explored Jesus' beautiful invitation in John 15: "Remain in me, as I also remain in you." It's not a one-sided relationship—He wants to make His home in us as we make our home in Him.In a world forming us toward hurry, anxiety, and distraction, Jesus offers a better way. Abiding isn't passive—it's choosing to stay when you want to leave, to continue when it gets hard, to dwell when distractions call. Like the father in the prodigal son story, God is on the porch waiting, practicing abiding, ready to welcome you home. This is the year of formation at Purpose Church. We're learning that practice makes formation, not perfection. When we remain connected to the Vine, we bear much fruit. The invitation today is simple: come home and stay. Trust Him with your stuff. Open the door He's knocking on.

HOMECOMING - Easter Sunday - Ps. Aaron Snow
What if today is your homecoming? This Easter, we're reminded that Jesus didn't just come to get us out of sin—He came to bring us HOME. In a world full of wandering, confusion, and emptiness, Jesus declares: "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6).Like the prodigal son who found himself at the end of himself, maybe you're feeling homesick for something more. The beautiful truth? The Father is looking for you. He's not waiting to judge you—He's ready to run toward you, wrap His arms around you, and welcome you home as His son or daughter. You belong. You are loved. And today can be the day you find your way home through Jesus.

Formed - Formed through Simplicity - Ps. Aaron Snow
Are you too busy for what matters most?Martha had Jesus in her living room but was distracted by preparations. We do the same thing—missing divine moments because we're overwhelmed by our to-do lists. Jesus isn't asking us to do more. He's inviting us to do less, to sit at His feet like Mary did and choose "the better thing" (Luke 10:38-42).Simplicity isn't just another spiritual practice—it's the result of letting Christ be formed in us. It's ruthlessly eliminating hurry so we can be present to the moments that truly matter. What distractions are keeping you from Him right now? What worries are pulling your attention away from His presence? This week, remove one unnecessary distraction. Choose presence over productivity. When we clear the noise, we see the Father clearly again. Join us as we continue this journey of formation, learning to live fully devoted to the way of Jesus.

Formed - Formed Through Fasting - Tag Team
What are you being invited to surrender right now that is preventing formation in your life? This Sunday, three young voices challenged us with a powerful truth: fasting isn't just giving up food once a year. It's about creating space for God by surrendering what holds us back. Jesus fasted 40 days before His ministry began, not to prove who He was, but to prove He would trust the Father fully. In a culture that says "do what's best for you" and "stay comfortable," we're called to something radically different. Matthew 4:1-11 shows us that Jesus was led by the Spirit into discomfort, into the wilderness, to be tested. He chose surrender over shortcuts, obedience over convenience.Fasting is dying to our fleshly desires to make more room for God to move. It's not about getting something from God—it's about creating room FOR God. When we surrender, we must fill that space with prayer, worship, and His Word. What will you fast from today to draw closer to Him?

Formed - Formed in Solitude - Ps. Brandon Gilbert
When was the last time you truly withdrew to be with God? Jesus constantly stepped away from the crowds—even when everyone was looking for Him—to spend time alone with the Father. In Mark 1:35, after healing an entire city, He rose early and went to a desolate place to pray. Why? Because solitude with God brings clarity to our purpose. We live in the most connected generation ever, yet we're more isolated than before. We crave attention, not communion. But here's the truth: Moses came down from the mountain with his face shining so brightly he had to veil it. Paul tells us in 2 Corinthians 3:18 that we get to live with UNVEILED faces—transformed from glory to glory as we behold the Lord. Are you ready to practice solitude? Not isolation, but intentional time with the Father that fills you so you can pour out. When you've been with Jesus, people will know by the fruit of your life.

Formed - Formed through Obedience - Ps. Aaron Snow
This week we continued our FORMED series with the Great Commission from Matthew 28:16-20. Formation isn't just about hearing God's Word—it's about putting it into PRACTICE. Jesus said, "Everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man" (Matthew 7:24).We've journeyed through Scripture, prayer, and community. Now it's time to GO. Not just on Sundays, but Monday through Saturday. Because when we practice what we hear, Christ is truly formed in us. The disciples worshiped AND doubted—and Jesus still commissioned them. He's commissioning you too to teach others to OBEY everything Jesus commands us to do.Remember: formation happens when Jesus' words move from something we hear to something we actually put into practice. So, lets practice faithful obedience this week!Link to Give:https://purposechurchc3.churchcenter.com/giving

Formed - Formed in Community - Ps. Aaron
We weren't created to do life alone. In Acts 2:42-47, the early church devoted themselves to four things: teaching, fellowship, breaking bread, and prayer. Notice what came right after their radical encounter with Jesus? COMMUNITY. Not isolation. Not individualism. Fellowship. The Greek word "koinonia" means sharing life in common—spiritual unity with the Lord AND with each other. We are formed in community, not in isolation. God said from the beginning, "It is not good for man to be alone" (Genesis 2:18).What lie has convinced you that isolation is safer than community? That you can be formed alone? This week, take a brave step: join a Purpose Group, invite a friend to coffee, share what God is teaching you. We are mutually dependent on each other—one body in Christ. You were made for this.

Formed - Teach us to Pray
Prayer is simpler than we make it and deeper than we imagine. This week we learned that prayer isn't about perfect words or outcomes—it's about PRESENCE. When Jesus' disciples watched Him pray, they didn't ask for a formula. They asked, "Lord, teach us to pray" because they witnessed something they desperately wanted: intimate connection with the Father. The Lord's Prayer (Matthew 6) isn't just words to memorize—it's a framework for relationship. Adoration. Consecration. Submission. Provision. Confession. Guidance. Deliverance. It's an invitation to be fully known and deeply loved.Your challenge this week: Just start. Pray about everything—parking spots, conversations, decisions. Practice presence over productivity. Let prayer become less of an event and more of an environment in your everyday life. He's standing at the door knocking, longing for your presence even more than you long for His.What will you surrender today to make room for Him?

Formed - God's Word Is - Ps. Aaron Snow
What are your daily habits forming you into? This week we explored a powerful truth: God's Word isn't just a book—it's the voice of God, the Son of God made visible, and Scripture preserved to transform us. From Genesis to today, when God speaks, life is formed and creation responds.Jesus said everyone who hears His words AND puts them into practice is like a wise person building on solid rock. The question isn't just what would Jesus do—we have the Bible that shows us what He DID. Now it's about becoming more like Him through daily practice. Show me your habits, and I'll show you who you're becoming. This year of formation is calling us deeper. Take inventory this afternoon: What are you truly passionate about? Most dedicated to? Your habits reveal the answer. Let's build our lives on the Rock and watch Christ be formed in us from the inside out.

Follow Me - Come to Me - Ps. Aaron Snow
What burden are you carrying that was never meant for you? Jesus extends a powerful invitation in Matthew 11:28-30: "Come to me, all who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest."This isn't about temporary relief or a self-care day. It's about being yoked to Jesus—taking on His tailor-made, well-fitted yoke instead of the heavy expectations, worries, and pressures we've placed on ourselves or allowed others to place on us. His yoke is easy not because life becomes effortless, but because we're finally learning to live in alignment with His way.The question isn't if you're yoked to something—we all are. The question is: who are you yoked to? Jesus invites you to walk with Him, work with Him, and learn the unforced rhythms of His grace. Lay down what's heavy. Take on what's tailor-made for you.

Follow Me - Come and Follow - Ps. Phil Buechler
Great people aren't born great—they're ordinary people who make great commitments to something greater than themselves. This is the heart of discipleship.Salvation delivers us from sin, but discipleship delivers us from selfishness. It's a sacred calling that transforms inferior materials into something beautiful for God's kingdom. We're all flawed, in need of repair and cleansing, yet called to make a great commitment to become what the Lord intended from the beginning. The Apostle Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 2:9-12 that God has prepared things beyond what we can see or imagine. This isn't just about human wisdom—it's a spiritual transaction where the Holy Spirit reveals divine truth to those who seek Him.Are you ready to move from ordinary to extraordinary through your commitment to Christ? The journey of discipleship is waiting.#Discipleship #OrdinaryToExtraordinary #1Corinthians2 #SpiritualGrowth #GreatCommitment

Moved In - God Reveals Good News - Ps. Aaron
Good news doesn't tell you what to do—it tells you what's already been done. This Advent, we're reminded that God didn't reveal the birth of His Son to kings or priests, but to shepherds—the social outcasts of their day. Why? Because Jesus came for ALL people, not just the powerful or perfect. He came as three gifts in one: SAVIOR to rescue you from what you can't fix, MESSIAH to fulfill God's promise in your life, and LORD to lead you into all truth. Luke 2:11 declares, "Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you. He is the Messiah, the Lord."The question isn't just do you believe the news—but are you living like it's true? The shepherds didn't keep it to themselves. They ran to the manger, saw Jesus, and told everyone. This Christmas, who do you need Him to be for you?

Moved In - God Moves Right on Time - Ps. Aaron
What if today is your "right on time" moment? We often miss God's greatest work because we're looking in the wrong places or expecting Him to move on our timeline. But here's the truth: God doesn't move when we feel ready or when conditions are perfect. He moves when heaven says "the time has come."Just like Mary and Joseph's journey to Bethlehem wasn't convenient, wasn't easy, and certainly wasn't what they expected, God uses our ordinary circumstances, our difficult journeys, and our unexpected places to position us exactly where He wants us to be.The same God who orchestrated every detail of Jesus' birth in a manger in an insignificant town is orchestrating the details of your life right now. The census, the distance, the difficulty, the unexpected place—it all led to the greatest gift of all time being born right on time.So here's my question for you: What if the frustrating circumstances, the hard journey, and the unexpected place you find yourself in right now is actually God positioning you for your breakthrough? He who created you, He who formed you says: "Do not fear, for I have redeemed you. I have summoned you by name. You are mine." Isaiah 43:1 God moves right on time. Always has. Always will.

Moved In - God Comes Close - Ps. Aaron
For thousands of years, God spoke through prophets, angels, and priests. But when Jesus came, everything changed. He didn't send another messenger - He came Himself. The leper approached Jesus, ashamed and isolated, saying "If you're willing, you can heal me." Jesus didn't step back. He didn't send someone else. He reached out, TOUCHED him, and said "I am willing."This is Advent. This is Immanuel - God WITH us. Not God far from us. Not God waiting for you to clean up your mess first. He's standing at the door of your heart, ready to move into your situation exactly as it is.Stop trying to fix everything before you invite Him in. He wants to come close to you TODAY - in your mess, in your shame, in the parts you keep hidden. When Jesus moves in, everything changes.Where do you need Jesus to come close in your life today? He's not waiting for the perfect moment. He's saying "I am willing" right now.

Moved In - God Speaks - Brandon Gilbert
The greatest gift of all time didn't just arrive—He moved into the neighborhood. Your neighborhood. Your heart. Your family. Your mind. Every area of darkness. This Advent season, we're stepping into a posture of wonder and anticipation. The church calendar resets today, and we're asking the question: What dreams have you let die? What areas of your life feel barren, unproductive, unfruitful?God speaks first. He spoke life into existence. He spoke light into darkness. And He still speaks into the barren places of our lives today.Maybe you've stopped praying for something. Maybe you've accepted that it's just not going to happen. Maybe you're like Elizabeth and Zechariah—old, tired, and ready to give up on the dream. But here's the truth: God doesn't leave things halfway done. When He gives you a dream, believe it. When He speaks, trust it. Sometimes it takes God a long time to do something very suddenly.Jesus put on flesh and blood and moved into the neighborhood. And when He moves in, He changes EVERYTHING.

Christ the King Sunday - This is good news....
This week we celebrated Christ the King Sunday - the last day of the church calendar year. It's a powerful reminder that no matter what chaos swirls around us, no matter what uncertainties we face, Jesus Christ is King right now. Not someday. Not eventually. Right now. He's holding all things together, including you.We heard five incredible testimonies from people whose lives have been transformed by encountering King Jesus. From addiction to freedom. From emptiness to fullness. From searching to finding. Each story a window into the kingdom of heaven breaking into earth. Here's what struck me most: Jesus doesn't expand His kingdom through armies or politics or power plays. He expands it through changed lives and shared stories. Through people who simply say, "Let me tell you what Jesus has done for me."Your testimony is obedience. Your story is thanksgiving. And every time you share what God has done in your life, the gospel continues. So here's my question for you: Who is king of your life? And who needs to hear your good news today?

Spread Out - Commitment Sunday - Ps. Aaron
This past Sunday was a historic day at Purpose Church - our first Commitment Sunday. We stood together, not just bringing offerings, but responding to God's invitation to spread out, break forth, and increase in every area of our lives. This isn't about buildings or budgets. It's about people having a chance to truly know Jesus and discover the purpose He has uniquely designed for their life. From Isaiah's prophecy to Abraham's promise to the early church in Acts, God has always been about expanding His tent - and that tent is His people.Pastor Aaron reminded us that love gives. When you love someone, giving isn't a sacrifice, it's a joy. God so loved the world that He gave. Today, we got to do the same. We're learning to live a lifestyle of radical generosity - not because we have to, but because we love to. Not equal giving, but equal sacrifice with united faith. Some of us tested the tenth for the first time. Others committed to giving above and beyond. Whatever God asked each of us to do, we responded in faith. And now we get to watch what happens when heaven backs up our yes. This is just the beginning. We're being prepared to spread out - to the north, south, east, and west - so that more generations will come to know Jesus and discover His purpose for their lives.

Spread Out - Stretch Your Faith - Ps. Caity
What if the stretching you're experiencing isn't punishment—it's preparation for the pouring? This week, we're diving deep into the story of the widow's oil and asking ourselves some hard questions: Where is God stretching our faith right now? What are we making room for Him to fill? Here's what I'm learning: God fills what we make room for. The widow didn't just collect a few jars—she went to ALL her neighbors. She made physical space in her home and spiritual space in her heart by shutting the door on negative voices. And here's the beautiful part: she was stretched before the overflow came.Maybe you're feeling stretched right now in your finances, your time, your capacity. Maybe God is asking you to do something that sounds absolutely crazy. Close your eyes, take a deep breath, and invite His presence into that tension.Your stretching is preparation for your pouring. What do you have in your house? What resource is God asking you to trust Him with? Because what seems like little or nothing in our hands becomes something great in God's hands.Next Sunday is Commitment Sunday for our Purpose Builders campaign. This week, we're asking God: How are You stretching my faith in preparation for what's next? Will you pray with us?

Spread Out - Enlarge Your Vision
What if God is asking you to see something you've never seen before? Not from where you hope to be, but right where you are standing today. This weekend we learned that vision begins with separation - letting go of what limits us so we can see what God is revealing. Sometimes the very things we're holding onto are the things keeping us from seeing the extraordinary future God has planned. Here's what we are learning: worship enlarges capacity before blessing arrives. We don't need more plans. We need to build more altars.Abram stood on barren ground with no home, no son, no map - yet God told him to look in every direction and see what would be his. Peter went to a rooftop to pray and God completely transformed how he saw his mission. Both had to lift their eyes in faith before they could step into their purpose. The challenge for us: What is God asking you to let go of so you can see what He's revealing? Maybe it's a relationship, a mentality, an offense, or even good things that are absorbing your capacity for the great things God has planned.Faith sees what's possible, not just what is. You can't possess what you refuse to perceive. So today, would you lift your eyes? Not to escape your current reality, but to let faith recalibrate it. The vision God has for your life, your family, and our church together is bigger than we can imagine - but it starts with being willing to see it.

Vision Sunday - We are Purpose Builders - Ps. Aaron
Two years ago, we gathered in this space for the first time. Today, we're stepping into something we've never done before - our first Purpose Builders campaign. But this isn't just about a building. It's about becoming a safe place where hurting people can find hope, where those struggling with addiction can find freedom, and where no one has to walk through their darkest moments alone. When was the last time you did something for the first time? That question challenges us to keep growing, keep stepping out in faith, and keep trusting God with what's next. We're not despising small beginnings anymore - we're honoring what God has done while preparing for what He's calling us to do.This campaign is more than fundraising. It's a life-saving campaign. It's about creating a community where there are no needy persons among us, where daily we break bread together, and where people discover they're not alone in their struggles. Because sometimes the most powerful thing we can offer someone is simply asking: "How can I be a friend to you?"Join us in this season of radical generosity. Together, we're building something that will impact generations to come - a place where freedom in Jesus Christ is not just preached, but experienced every single day.For more info visit www.wearepurposechurch.com/builders

I Am - The Resurrection and Life - Ps. Aaron
