Purposeful Women of God

Purposeful Women of God began as both Ashlee and Tabitha were seeking a way to minister to women of all walks of life. As they were praying, the Lord began to impress on Ashlee’s heart to begin a podcast and to ask Tabitha to join her. It didn’t take Tabitha long to commit because God was working in her heart as well. When we say we want to “change our focus from me to THEE,” it’s because we recognize that our world is bombarded with self-help guides, and while these are not all bad, we know that the only way we can have true joy and contentment is to find our purpose and calling that only comes through discovering who we are in Christ. Join us as we begin to change our focus from ME to THEE!

Ep. 128 - Armor of God Series Ep. 8 - Prayer: The Power Behind the Armor

In this final episode of our Armor of God series, we focus on the essential element that empowers every piece of armor—prayer. Drawing from Ephesians 6:18, we’re reminded that prayer is our direct line of communication with God, our Commander, and the power source that activates truth, righteousness, faith, salvation, and the Word in our daily lives. We share practical ways to strengthen your prayer life, including writing down prayer requests, praying specifically for yourself, cultivating gratitude, and covering your areas of weakness. This episode also challenges believers to stop living partially equipped and instead put on the full armor of God daily. As we reflect on Christ’s sacrifice and the victory He secured, we’re called to stand firm, pray without ceasing, and fight our battles on our knees—not alone, but with the strength of the Lord. It’s time to rise up, fully equipped, and walk in the victory already won.God Bless from our Hearts to Yours,Ashlee & Tabitha_________Make sure to follow along with us using the links below…InstagramFacebookWebsiteYouTubeAffiliate Links:Elly and Grace - (10% off with code purposefulwomenofgod)Kingfolk Co. Ep. 127 - Armor of God Series Ep. 7: The Sword of the Spirit

In Episode 7 of the Armor of God series, we study the final piece of armor found in Ephesians 6 — the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Unlike the other pieces of armor that protect us defensively, the sword is the believer’s only offensive weapon in spiritual battle. In this episode, we discuss the power of Scripture, how Jesus used the Word of God to defeat temptation, and why it is essential for believers to know and correctly apply the Bible in their daily lives. We also recap the six pieces of armor and challenge listeners to make the intentional choice to put on the full armor of God every day.If you’re just joining the series, be sure to start with Episode 1 and download the Armor of God study guide available at purposefulwomenofgod.com.God Bless from our Hearts to Yours,Ashlee & Tabitha_________Make sure to follow along with us using the links below…InstagramFacebookWebsiteYouTubeAffiliate Links:Elly and Grace - (10% off with code purposefulwomenofgod)Kingfolk Co. Ep. 126 - Armor of God Series Ep. 6: The Helmet of Salvation

In Episode 6 of the Armor of God series, we dive into the Helmet of Salvation from Ephesians 6:17 and explore why protecting our minds is crucial in spiritual warfare. Just as a Roman soldier would never enter battle without a helmet, believers cannot afford to leave their minds unguarded.Salvation not only secures our eternity through Jesus Christ, but it also protects our thoughts, identity, and mindset while we live in a fallen world. When we fail to “wear” the helmet of salvation, we leave ourselves vulnerable to the enemy’s lies, negative thinking, fear, and spiritual confusion. In this episode, we discuss how renewing our minds through Scripture, prayer, worship, and intentional living helps us stand firm against the enemy’s attacks. The helmet of salvation reminds us who we belong to and gives us the confidence and peace to live daily as daughters of the King. Ep. 125 - Armor of God Series Ep. 5: The Shield of Faith

In this episode of the Purposeful Women of God Podcast, we continue our Armor of God series by focusing on the Shield of Faith from Ephesians 6:16. We explore what biblical faith truly means and how it serves as protection against the enemy’s “fiery darts” — doubt, fear, discouragement, temptation, and lies.Faith is more than belief; it’s actively trusting God and aligning our lives with His Word, even when we cannot see the outcome. We discuss how faith is foundational to our relationship with Christ, how it extinguishes the attacks of the enemy, and why it must be exercised daily in every season of life.We also highlight the importance of community, reminding listeners that we are not meant to fight spiritual battles alone. When we intentionally raise our shield of faith and link arms with other believers, we stand firm in victory. This episode will challenge and encourage you to examine where you need to trust God more deeply and to live from a position of victory rather than defeat.God Bless From Our Hearts to Yours,Ashlee & Tabitha_________Make sure to follow along with us using the links below…InstagramFacebookWebsiteYouTubeAffiliate Links:Elly and Grace - (10% off with code purposefulwomenofgod)Kingfolk Co. Ep. 124 - Armor of God Series Ep. 4: The Shoes of Peace

In this fourth week of our Armor of God series, we study Ephesians 6:15 and what it means to have our feet “shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace.”Using the picture of uncomfortable shoes (yes—even at a Luke Bryan concert!), we explore how life without God’s peace leaves us unsteady and distracted. Just as Roman soldiers wore sturdy sandals for stability and traction in battle, we must wear the gospel of peace so we can stand firm against the enemy and move forward with confidence.Even in the middle of battle, God offers a peace that “passes all understanding.” When we are secure in Christ, we are not crippled by fear or anxiety—we are grounded, ready, and equipped to carry the good news wherever He leads.God bless from our hearts to yours,Ashlee & Tabitha_________Make sure to follow along with us using the links below…InstagramFacebookWebsiteYouTubeAffiliate Links:Elly and Grace - (10% off with code purposefulwomenofgod)Kingfolk Co. In Episode 3 of our Armor of God series, we study the Breastplate of Righteousness and how it guards the believer’s heart against the enemy’s attacks. We talk about what righteousness truly means, how it connects to truth, and how living out God’s Word protects our identity, emotions, and confidence. This episode reminds us that righteousness comes through Christ and is walked out through daily obedience. Ep. 122 - Armor of God Series Ep. 2: The Belt of Truth

We’re kicking off our Armor of God series by focusing on the Belt of Truth from Ephesians 6:10–18. Before engaging in spiritual warfare, we must know who the real enemy is, how to fight spiritually, and who gives the victory. In this episode, we discuss why truth is the foundation of our faith, how it protects us from deception, and why knowing Jesus and God’s Word is essential to standing firm. Ep. 121 - Armor of God Series Ep. 1: Fight the Good Fight

In this episode, we launch a new series on spiritual warfare and introduce the Bible study created to accompany it. Before diving into the Armor of God, we lay a foundation for understanding the fight every believer faces. From famous public battles to the unseen struggles of everyday life, we’re reminded that when it comes to fighting, we have a choice: retreat or stand firm. Scripture calls us to be good soldiers for Christ—strong, courageous, and steadfast in the Lord.Using powerful examples from David, Joshua, and Nehemiah, we explore three essential truths for spiritual warfare:• Know who the enemy is• Know how to fight the enemy• Remember who gives the victoryOur battle is not against flesh and blood, but against a real spiritual enemy—and victory is found not in our own strength, but in the power of God.The battle is real but so is the victory! Lifting our hands? While worship through song is beautiful, today we’re diving deeper into what true, wholehearted worship really means. In this episode we talk about:  What it means to worship God in spirit and in truth (John 4:23–24)  How our worship should be like frankincense—sweet, sincere, and able to withstand the fire  Why worship is more than a moment... it’s a lifestyle  And yes—how music becomes meaningful worship when our hearts are right before HimChristmas gets busy, loud, and rushed. But if we’re not careful, we’ll miss the One we’re meant to celebrate. Let’s make this a season of adoration, not acceleration. This week, we’re continuing our 4-part series, The 4 G’s to Staying Focused on Christ! Just like good parenting isn’t only about saying “no,” our faith isn’t just about avoiding sin — it’s about choosing what’s better. Paul reminds us in Colossians 3:10–16 to put on the new man — to clothe ourselves in compassion, kindness, forgiveness, love, peace, and gratitude. Ep. 112 - How to Live in the Goodness of God - A Lesson Through the Life of David

In today’s episode we are diving deep into one of life’s biggest questions: “How can we experience the goodness of God when life itself isn’t always good?”We’ve all faced seasons of hardship—moments when trials feel bigger than our faith, when the waiting is long, when pain feels unbearable, or when we’ve fallen short ourselves. But through the life of David, we’re reminded that God’s goodness is constant, even when circumstances aren’t.David faced giants, wilderness seasons, deep personal loss, and even the consequences of his own sin—yet through it all, he remained a man after God’s heart. His story gives us a practical roadmap for walking in the goodness of God, no matter what life looks like.We hope you enjoy this episode and don’t forget to share with your family and friends! Ep. 110 - Grounded and Immovable in Christ

Today is the final episode of our Planted, Rooted, and Grounded series. The main lesson today is that being grounded in Christ goes beyond salvation, it’s growth that helps us become immovable in our faith. Just as deep roots anchor a tree through storms, our strength comes not from circumstances but from Christ, whose power is made perfect in weakness. Grounding happens as we stay in God’s Word, cultivate a receptive heart, and mature in faith until we bear fruit and plant seeds in others. When we are planted, rooted, and grounded in Jesus, we can endure trials, resist deception, and live fruitful lives that honor God and impact the world. We hope this lesson encourages you to become grounded in your faith!God Bless From Our Hearts to Yours,Ashlee & Tabitha_________Make sure to follow along with us using the links below…InstagramFacebookWebsiteYouTubeAffiliate Links:Jules & James (10% off with code Purposeful)Elly and Grace - (10% off with code purposefulwomenofgod)Kingfolk Co. Ep. 105 - The Power of Words - Life or Destruction | James Series Ep. 8

In today’s episode we will be covering the entirety of James chapter 3 discussing the influence of our words. Our words have the power to build up or tear down and ultimately what’s in our hearts will be reflected in our words. If our hearts are full of envy, bitterness or strife we’ll be talking about people or engaging in conversations that do not edify the Lord or our churches but if our hearts are full of love and if we are seeking biblical wisdom our conversations will be pure and honest and uplifting to one another. Think about how you’re using your words and the conversations you are engaging in - Remember Paul likens our tongues to a raging fire just one word or one wrong conversation and you can cause damage that is unrepairable. In the same sense one word or conversation can spark a revival, a word of encouragement can pull a friend out of the pit and an honest conversation could save a persons soul. Are you choosing to speak life with your words or are you causing destruction? Ep. 104 - Faith Without Works is Dead | James Series Ep. 7

Happy Tuesday PWG Fam! We are excited to be wrapping up chapter 2 of James today specifically looking at verses 14-26. In this chapter James is conveying the importance of works in your life if you are a saved Christian. So many people take verses within this chapter out of context to back up their need for a “works based” salvation but it’s important to note the context of the entire book of James. We mentioned this in the first episode in this series but James is writing this entire book to the church, in other words to saved Christians. This entire book is about Christian practices so he’s not trying to convert people to Christianity he’s trying to teach saved Christians what should be evident in their life if they have truly trusted Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. In writing to the saved Christian James is saying if you have true faith, true saving faith, works will be evident in your life. In other words you will be serving the Lord and there will be fruits of your labor.Listen now for the full teaching you don’t want to miss this one! Ep. 103 - Faith without Favoritism | James Series Ep. 6

Have you known people that just hang around certain people for the status or notoriety it gives them? What about at church, have certain members been treated differently than others because of their societal status? Showing favoritism to some while neglecting others has been an issue since the beginning of time and it’s what James will be addressing in the lesson we are teaching today. We will be diving into chapter 2 today looking at verses 1-12. We have all been guilty of showing favoritism from time to time but we hope by the end of this lesson that you’ll realize we are all just sinners saved by grace. Nobody is above anybody else and while we may differ in our economic status, race, social position etc. we all have common ground when it comes to the gospel!Let’s all start living out the 2 greatest commandments that have been given to us:  Love the Lord with all your heart, soul and mind and love your neighbor as yourself. We hope you enjoy this episode and thank you for supporting us and the podcast! Ep. 101 - The Truth About Temptations | James Series Ep. 4

Today we’re going to be looking at what temptations are, where they come from and how we’re tempted. Just as trials have no respect of persons temptations will also come to everyone which is why it’s so important to be spiritually prepared at all times. The most important thing to remember in this lesson is that God will never tempt you with sin. While temptation is the devil’s playground how we respond to temptation is a personal choice that we make on our own. It’s easy to blame others for the sin in our life but we must remember we have our own free will and we are ultimately responsible for every decision we make.We hope this lesson is an encouragement to you to stay close to the Lord at all times so when the devil comes seeking to devour, you’re able to withstand his temptations.God Bless from Our Hearts to Yours,Ashlee & Tabitha_________Make sure to follow along with us using the links below…InstagramFacebookWebsiteYouTubeAffiliate Links:Jules & James (10% off with code Purposeful)Elly and Grace - (10% off with code purposefulwomenofgod)Kingfolk Co. Ep. 91 - Who is Jesus to the Hindu/Buddhist?

We are back with our 7th episode in our series “Who is Jesus to You?” Today we will be looking at Who is Jesus to the Hindu and the Buddhist. There are so many similarities between these two religions which is why we decided to cover them together in one episode. If you’ve ever met anyone that is of the Hindu or Buddhist religion you’ve probably noticed they are usually very well mannered, respectful, kind and non-confrontational and this is because their religion is centered around these things. They heavily believe in Karma what goes around comes around and is why they believe their actions/deeds will merit the type of life they have here on this earth.Just like the Scientologist we studied about last week, the Hindu and Buddhist also believe in reincarnation but they believe you can come back in many different life forms. With workplaces being so diverse these days it is possible you will have a co-worker that may identify with one of these religions. The best way to witness to them is to befriend them and allow them to see how Jesus is working in your life.Listen now to learn more about these two religions and how you can be a witness to your Buddhist/Hindu friends, co-workers or acquaintancesDon’t forget to head over to our website & subscribe to our email list so you get the free resource material that goes along with every episode.God Bless from our Hearts to Yours,Ashlee and Tabitha_________Make sure to follow along with us using the links below…InstagramFacebookWebsiteYouTubeAffiliate Links:Jules & James (10% off with code Purposeful)Elly and Grace - (10% off with code purposefulwomenofgod)Kingfolk Co. As you can tell by the title today we are going to be diving into" “Who is Jesus to the Scientologist”? If you’re like us we didn’t really know a whole lot about Scientology before studying for this episode, except for the fact that Tom Cruise is one :)It’s hard to believe anybody could believe the teachings of Scientology but the truth is people are falling into these “new age” religions more and more everyday. So even though you may not know a Scientologist it’s very possible you know someone practicing other new age religions.Today we hope to share some ways you can begin witnessing to someone that may have similar beliefs to Scientology. We can’t believe we are almost half way through our new series “Who is Jesus to You?” If you have missed the first 3 episodes in this series you’ll want to go back and check those out.Today we will be looking at “Who is Jesus to the Catholic?” Out of all the religions we have looked at so far I will say the Catholic statement of faith aligns the closest with Christianity. ABOUT THIS SHOW
