Bants With Fausat Omolara Arilewola (Author, Marketing&Communication Manager)
For the 50th episode of Queen Raffy's Space, I sat down with Fausat Omolara Ayinla, Nigerian author, storyteller, publisher, and creator of the Storytelling Advantage Framework, to talk about the power of stories and the journey behind writing them.We explore how she discovered her love for writing, why children's literature and historical fiction have become her signature genres, and how she develops memorable characters that stay with readers long after they've finished her books. Fausat also shares her passion for audiobooks, why authentic voices matter in storytelling, and the creative process behind bringing her stories to life in audio.Beyond writing, we discuss the realities of being an author—from self-publishing and the challenges of the literary world to the ongoing conversation around book piracy and the growing influence of book influencers. Random Musings episode 154 - A mismatch of thoughts
For this episode of Random Musings, I'm sharing a few thoughts that have been sitting in my head for a while before I took a break from recording. From the irony of scholarship applications asking for affidavits of poverty, to realizing that some people put others down to make themselves feel better, and accepting that you can't control people's perceptions or assumptions about you.I also talk about why people are so eager to claim credit for the most basic ideas and why that's something I've been thinking about lately. Listen in, and let me know which musing resonates with you the most.

Book Discussions - Wahala By Nikki May
Wahala by Niki May is a book i went into Wahala by Niki May with no expectations. I was simply drawn to the cover and the title. After reading it, I can confidently say... na truly wahala! The story is packed with friendship, betrayal, adultery, revenge, power plays, and plenty of drama. One thing that stood out to me was how much of the chaos could have been avoided if people had simply been honest. So many small lies and unspoken truths ended up changing everyone's lives.Overall, I really enjoyed the book, especially towards the end when the pace picked up. I also hear it's being adapted into a series, and I'm curious to see how it turns out. Wahala has definitely made me want to read more of Niki May's work.

Reflections - Take A Minute S8ep7 - Pausing With The Qur'an
This year, Reflections – Take A Minute becomes more personal. I’m sharing Qur’anic verses that have carried me — especially in moments when life felt like a test I didn’t study for.In this reflection, I sit with the reality that being tested is part of the human journey. Fear. Loss. Uncertainty. Waiting. These seasons can make us feel forgotten, but this verse reminds me that tests are not abandonment. They are part of the path. And within them, there is growth, patience, and unseen reward.Qur’anic Reflection:Qur’an 2:155Take a minute today to remember: being tested does not mean being left behind. For your sadaqah this year, please support the work of The Barakah Lifestyle NG:Wema BankThe Barakah Lifestyle NG8216316498Mint Finex BankThe Barakah Lifestyle NG1102217122

This year, Reflections – Take A Minute becomes more personal. I’m sharing Qur’anic verses that have carried me — especially in seasons where I needed reassurance more than answers. In this reflection, I sit with the promise that difficulty is never the end of the story. When things feel heavy, when clarity feels far away, this verse reminds me that ease is not separate from hardship; it exists alongside it. It may not look how we expect, and it may not arrive when we demand, but it comes.Qur’anic Reflection:Qur’an 94:5–6Take a minute today to hold on a little softer. This year, Reflections – Take A Minute becomes more personal. I’m sharing Qur’anic verses that have carried me — especially in moments when I needed to shift my perspective. In this reflection, I sit with gratitude. Not the loud kind that only shows up when everything is perfect, but the quiet, steady gratitude that exists even in waiting, even in uncertainty. This verse reminds me that gratitude is not just a reaction; it is a posture. And in that posture, there is an increase.Qur’anic Reflection:Qur’an 14:7Take a minute today to ask yourself: What am I overlooking that is already a blessing? For your sadaqah this year, please support the work of The Barakah Lifestyle NG:Sadaqah Details — The Barakah Lifestyle NGWema BankThe Barakah Lifestyle NG8216316498Mint Finex BankThe Barakah Lifestyle NG1102217122

On this episode of Random Musings, I reflect on the importance of standing for something, having values, knowing what you believe in, and being rooted in them. I talk about taking the year to intentionally discover the values you hold dear, the ones you are not easily moved from, and how those values quietly shape your choices, boundaries, and sense of self. This is a gentle invitation to pause, reflect, and ask yourself what truly anchors you.

Random Musings episode 152 - Not My Shame
There’s been a lot of conversation online about insecurity in Nigeria, with some people framing it as a Christian genocide or a Muslims-versus-Christians issue. While there’s no denying that insecurity is completely out of control, I don’t think it’s honest to reduce something this complex to a religious war.On this episode of random musings, I talk about why, as a Muslim, I refuse to carry shame for so-called “Islamic” terrorists or bandits. Anyone willing to read, learn, or even lightly understand Islam will see that what’s happening has nothing to do with the religion itself. This is not Islam. And because of that, it’s not my shame — or any Muslim’s shame — to carry.

Random Musings episode 151 - Danish Deception Reaction
On this episode of random musings, I talk about the Danish deception story that was all over TikTok. I kept seeing people confidently say things like, “I could never be scammed” or “that would never happen to me,” and it got me thinking. The truth is, scams are not one-size-fits-all. Just because one type wouldn’t work on you doesn’t mean another one couldn’t. And most importantly, shaming victims who have to come to share their pain and experience is not exactly the way to go because it just gives the people who commit these crimes the cover to keep doing these evil things. Did you listen to the story as well? Share your thoughts with me on Twitter via @Queen_Raffy. In this episode, I talk about why that “it can never be me” mindset is unrealistic, how judgment shows up online, and why a little humility goes a long way when we’re talking about people’s experiences.

The Birthday Episode - 33 : Reclaiming Joy & Rewriting Me
Another round trip around the sun has been completed, and my favourite day of the year is finally here. #Year32 was a season of unlearning, shedding, breaking old patterns, and quietly rebuilding myself from the inside out. It pushed me to release identities that no longer fit and return to the One who has always carried me — the Creator who writes the script long before I step into the scene.#Year32 taught me that joy is something I can reclaim, not something I have to earn. It taught me that peace is not a location — it is a decision. And it reminded me that survival is not the goal anymore… living fully is.As #Year33 begins, I am choosing softness with strength, clearer boundaries, and a deeper trust in Almighty Allah. Whatever the future holds, I walk into it with steadiness, gratitude, and the quiet confidence of someone who has gone through fire and came out whole. Ameen. In this episode, I share the truths, lessons, and little miracles that helped me rewrite myself this year. I hope something in it touches you, affirms you, or permits you to choose joy again.Thank you in advance for the prayers, the wishes, and the love. And if you feel generous… the gifts too.

Adulting can feel overwhelming sometimes, but lately I’ve been reflecting on the little joys that come with it, too. In this episode of Random Musings, I share some of the upsides I’ve noticed, such as the communities we get to build, the autonomy to make our own choices, and the freedom to spend our money the way we want. What about you? Have you discovered any good sides to adulting? I’d love to hear your thoughts. Share them with me on Twitter: @queenraffyspacepodcast

Random Musings episode 149 - Justice For Oversharers
In this episode of Random Musings, I discuss how harsh people can be towards oversharers and why that judgment often overlooks the bigger picture. If you’ve ever shared a little too much and then felt regret afterwards, this one is for you. I share practical tips to help oversharers protect themselves, set healthy boundaries, and express openly without carrying the weight of embarrassment later.

Random Musings episode 148 - A Negative Mindset
In this episode of random musings, I go on a bit of a rant about negativity because some people seem hooked on it. Everything they see, they twist into something bad. That is not a healthy way to live. I share why staying stuck in that mindset does more harm than good and why it is so important to flip the script, shift your perspective, and choose a better way to see life.

Random Musings episode 144 - Being Nigerian : A Blessing & A Curse
For this episode of Random Musings, I reflect on three powerful qualities that define Nigerians—resilience, creativity, and the ability not to sweat the small stuff. These traits have helped us thrive in challenging environments, making us resourceful, adaptable, and forward-thinking. Yet, in certain moments, they can also be a double-edged sword. How does our resilience sometimes lead to unnecessary endurance? Does our creativity sometimes come at the cost of structure? And does our ability to brush off the small stuff sometimes mean ignoring bigger, systemic issues?Listen to the full episode and share your thoughts on the topic with me via the comments or on Twitter - https://x.com/QueenRaffySpace
