Using the voice in this way is a powerful meditation. The sounds are highly effective in helping with anxiety, PTSD and other mental health problems. They are easy to make and simple to learn. Using the voice is a powerful way to restore peace of mind following trauma, illness or just because of the everyday stresses of life. The sounds are intoned rather than sung out. Your voice is always with you, it is free and can be used whenever or wherever you wish. The sounds can even be made silently in the head when it is not appropriate to vocalise. Making these sounds completely changed my life following a diagnosis of severe PTSD as a result of a working as a frontline cop in London.
