In the second instalment of airport month, Nicks Dad (Bill Figgins) steps in as a special guest this week to talk about Hong Kong International Airport. In the episode, we talk about one of the largest airport engineering projects ever undertaken. With the impending British handover approaching in 1997, we discuss how workers raced against the clock to build a brand new airport on a man made island 30 kilometres west of Central Hong Kong. We also pay homage to Kai Tak, arguably one of the worlds most iconic airports. To finish off the episode, Nick caps off with a game of Crack the Code.
