April Circle: Spring Cleaning by Laurie Clark
This is one of my favorite circles. I've adapted it so that Dads aren't left out. I will demonstrate during the Zoom call, send out words and instructions, and make a video so you can see the motions. This is a new circle for the children.
-
April Story: Sister Spring
This story, by Suzanne Down, would usually be told with puppets. Perhaps you and your little one could do a puppet play of your own!
-
Ellersiek Games
I can continue to add to this one as well. I'm starting out with the ones most familiar to the children. They can probably do most of the gestures, but I'll also do a parent demonstration video soon.
-
Favorite Stories
These are stories that I tell all year long.
-
Multicultural Stories
I recently began sharing multicultural picture books with the children before nap time. I'll try to add one per week here.
-
March Story
Mother Earth and the Clover Children by Suzanne Down. junipertreepuppets.com
-
March Circle
We've been doing this circle for a couple of weeks already, so the children might remember the movements and gestures. We usually end with a brief rest time, lying down.
-
Nursery Rhymes
We say/sing nursery rhymes with simple bean bag games. Almost all of these will be familiar to the children, and I'd bet, in some form, familiar to grown ups as well!
-
Verses
These are the songs and verses we sing and say daily, before snack, before nap, and every few weeks when we paint
-
Good Morning
This is the good morning song and verse that we do in the Rainbow Garden every day.
