The IU Indianapolis men's basketball program officially announced Paul Corsaro as their 11th head coach in program history - Coach Corsaro knows the Indianapolis market very well and he spent some time with Justin Kinner on this week's Reach The Horizon Podcast!

The Barbasol Horizon League Men's Basketball Championships Final Four is set - ESPN's Jordan Bernfield will be on the call for all three games on the ESPN family of networks Monday and Tuesday night. Jordan and Justin recapped the four quarterfinal round matchups and previewed the loaded Final Four field.

John Nolan is the voice of the Mastodon's for both the men and women's college basketball teams - Nolan joined Justin Kinner to recap the Mastodons regular season and weigh in on both teams chances as they prepare of quarterfinal action Thursday night.

We are officially a month and some change into the 2023-24 college hoops season for both men and women - There is not a program in the Horizon League that has both the men and women's programs rolling more than the Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons. The Oakland Golden Grizzlies have battled one of the toughest non-conference schedules in the Horizon League this season. They have come close to knocking off a few high major programs such as Ohio State and Illinois but fell just short. The impressive non-conference run continued however as the Golden Grizzlies put the Horizon League and all of College Basketball on notice with a huge win on the road over Xavier earlier in the week. The Cleveland State Vikings knocked off the Green Bay Phoenix this past Tuesday at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum to clinch their first Horizon League title since 2010. Justin Kinner caught up with Vikings head coach Chris Kielsmeier to reflect on their title win on Tuesday plus coach weighs in on what his message was for his players and staff heading into Selection Sunday.

The Northern Kentucky Norse knocked off Cleveland State in Tuesday night's Horizon League Championship game 63-61. It was the fourth conference title in the last seven years and the second title under the reign of head coach Darrin Horn. Coach Horn joined us on this week podcast to reflect on the huge Championship win and weighed in on what made this season and this roster so special.

The regular season is wrapping up this weekend and the regular season title is still unclaimed. Youngstown State is sitting at the top with the Cleveland State Vikings right behind them. The Youngstown State Penguins are 1-1 in Horizon League play after they split their opening conference road trip at Northern Kentucky and Wright State. The Penguins were led by Dwayne Cohill who dropped a career highh 43 points on Wright State this past weekend. His 32 points per game last week made him the obvious choice for the Horizon League Player of the Week award. As the college hoops season advances so will Detroit Mercy's Antoine Davis on college basketball's All-Time leading scorers list. In fact as of the recording date of this podcast, Davis is 18 points away from becoming the Horizon League's All-Time leading scorer. Pretty exciting. Jeremy Otto has had the pleasure of being the voice of the Mercy through out Davis's career. Northern Kentucky made headlines last week for their huge home win over the Cincinnati Bearcats at BB&T Arena. It's rare for Horizon League programs to knock off high major programs but what's even more rare is when Horizon League programs get these high major's on their home floor.
