Okay, I decided to flesh out that dog bark song I did the other night cuz I took a liking to it and thought it could be a nice little longer song. There we go.

Okay, here's some music; a wee li'l explanation for the long dog loop that I just posted. Is the word, "suck" an explicit lyric? I don't know, so I pushed the "explicit lyrics" button just to be safe.

This is not music!!!! It's noise for drowning out bad neighbors' stereo sounds. My neighbors that have screaming kids and annoying barking dogs also play their dumb stereo with thumping bass. This works good on a speaker for music in the distance; sadly, with something as close up as my dumb neighbors requires the use of noise cancelling headphone to drown out the bad neighbor sounds,

This is not music!! It's a bunch of dogs barking on a loop...the neighbors I have that have screaming kids? They also have stupid dogs that bark at night, and they have the most horrible sounding barks in the world. So here are a bunch of dogs barking to drown out the sound of dogs barking.

My dude friend spent the night last night; and we listened to lots of tunes. I woke up with this melody in my head, and I'm not sure if the melody is from one of the tunes we listened to last night or if it's something that my brain made up. So...this song is either a song that I consider to be kind of cool, or else it's a bad cover. 

This is a bunch of cats meowing with rumbly noises underneath them that you can play if you wanna drown out your neighbors' booming stereos and screaming kids.

Sorry this is a repeat...I couldn't live with the bad vocal performance from last week of the last part of the song, so I redid that part. I think it sucks less. 

The first part of this song is something I came up with many, many, many years ago when me, my college boyfriend, and another person I'm close to (but won't name for confidentiality reasons) were stoned and jamming together. I'm gonna have a friend play the parts with really high voices on her phone, outside my windows that I'm putting blackout curtains on to see how loud I need my noise machines to be to block out the new neighbors' screaming kids sounds. Neighbors suck. Sigh.

I lost count...this is either song 18 or 19 or 20 of Gloomy Gus and the Forest That's About to Die. It is really dark. But then it isn't dark at the end. If you get to the end, you'll see it's not as dark as it at first appeared.

It's my annual I'm-not-celebrating-the-4th-of-July-themed song, which I've been doing since 2022 cuz America is on the fucked up side. My good friend suggested doing a song called, "Make America Fucked Up Again," so that's what I did.

I miss living in a place that has actual friends in it. I have the coolest friends in the world! But they don't live around here. The one friend I had who lived around here died, and that makes me sad. 

There's an expression: "Hell is other people." That is true. This is a song about my new neighbors; they've only been there 3 days and my head is ready to explode. This isn't a very good song, though, and my singing voice is ass this week.

It's still gettin' a little dark in Gloomy Gus Land. The owl in the picture doesn't have anything to do with the song. Or does he??????

My friend and I were at a winery yesterday. It was a winery that had peacocks walking around. They were yelling a lot, and it dawned on me that this could be part of the concept album I've been cooking up in my head - Music for Blocking Out the Sound of Screaming Kids. I hate the sound of screaming kids - it is the worst sound in the world. Would a song with a bunch of peacocks yelling block out the sound of screaming kids if I played it nice and loud on my li'l speaker? We'll see. Anyway, I might make a concept album of songs with annoying, high-pitched sounds engineered to block out the annoying high-pitched sounds of horrible kids. 

I actually recorded this little ditty a few months ago, and I was saving it for a rainy day (i.e., a day where I didn't have time to record a new little ditty). Such a day has come to pass, so here it is. My phone told me I had "lots and lots of cats" in my camera roll, so that inspired this here little number. 

This is another depresso song; it's this whole metaphor thing, where, like a bad TV show is a metaphor for life as we know it right now.

Here's a bonus track for this week...I'm not sure how this song'll age, but here it is. A person thinks of herself as all soaring and majestic, like an eagle, but she's actually a fox. 

I guess this album is getting a wee little bit dark...don't worry, it gets lighter in time, but not that much lighter. 

Have I ever mentioned that kids suck? They wouldn't suck so much if their parents weren't moronic asswipes that let them scream like banshees and irritate everyone within a 5 mile radius. 

I got some old-people-who-wear-sunglasses-over-their-glasses sunglasses. That's a true story!!

Last week's song was about depression, and this week's song is about anxiety. It's becoming the Mental Health Clinic Musical Hour.

I was trying to think of a good metaphor for depression. This is what popped into my mind: Being stuck in eternal Mondays. The person in the song likes it, though; I mean, she likes being stuck in eternal Mondays. I'm not sure why.

I was thinking about how everybody's scared of their consciousness passing out of existence when they die; but when you think about it, that's what happens when you go under anesthesia. No time passes. There's nothing awful or painful about going into non-existence on a consciousness level. And, who knows? Maybe there's some way we come back again, even if we do get blotted out.  (I'm not sure how that would happen, but maybe, just maybe). And if centuries pass between one fading outta existence and fading back in, it will seem like no time had passed.
