Jocelyn Story - Not because it’s perfect… but because God is present in it.

Your story matters.  Not because it’s perfect…  but because God is present in it. So whether you’re in a season of breaking… believing... belonging... or becoming…  Your story matters!

    Why Our Story Matters

Why our story matters.  In recovery, many of us have believed the lie that our story disqualifies us.  That our past is something to hide. That our mistakes, wounds, failures, or seasons of struggle should stay buried. But Scripture tells us something very different. Revelation 12:11 says we overcome “by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony.” That means our story isn’t something to silence.  It’s something God uses.

Putting Hope into Action - Step 2 & Principle 2

Today I am talking about HOPE. Not wishful thinking. But biblical hope, the kind that holds you steady even when life feels uncertain. In recovery, hope isn’t something we wait to feel. It’s something we practice as we learn to lean in and trust God in the process.

Renewing Our Thoughts, Hearts & Bodies

Why Renewal Must Include Mind, Heart & BodyWe often approach our faith by focusing almost entirely on spiritual growth—prayer, Scripture, church involvement—while unintentionally minimizing the impact of our emotions and our physical bodies. But Scripture never separates us into compartments.God does not address the soul while ignoring the nervous system. He does not speak to the heart while dismissing exhaustion. And He does not renew the mind without caring about what the body is carrying.“May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul, and body be kept blameless…” — 1 Thessalonians 5:23

Three Core Wounds - Unworthiness, Inadequacy, Disconnect

Three core wounds that keep so many of us from truly practicing self-care, self-love, and self-acceptance.Your wounds are not your identity.  They are not the final chapter.  They are not the definition of who you are.You are not what wounded you.  You are not the lies spoken over you.  You are God’s beloved child. And healing is possible.

Speak Life - "Our Conversations Matter”

In this episode of Recovery Talk, Linda Sharp-Clark explores how the everyday conversations we have—simple, ordinary moments—carry spiritual weight and the power to heal. Using 1 Corinthians 14:3 as our gauge, Linda unpacks how words that comfort, encourage, and edify reflect God’s heart and can become prophetic in the most practical ways.

    The POWER of TWO

You might be wondering, “What could the number two have to do with recovery or spiritual growth?”But throughout Scripture, “two” represents agreement, partnership, witness, and unity. It’s one of those divine reminders that we were never meant to walk this road alone — not in faith, not in leadership, and certainly not in recovery. And here’s where it begins: the Power of Two starts with our relationship with God. Before we ever learn to walk in agreement with others, we’re invited to walk in agreement with God.

Is It Coming from Wisdom or from a Wound?

“The wisdom from above is first pure, peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere.” — James 3:17 “Are you leading from wisdom… or from a wound?” This week on Recovery Talk, we’re diving deep into how our unhealed places can disguise themselves as discernment — and how God calls us to lead from wholeness, not hurt. 🎧 Tune in for truth, reflection, and healing for the heart of every leader. #RecoveryTalk #WisdomVsWound

    The Power of "First"

The power of first reminds us that we don’t need to have it all figured out. We just need to take the next faithful step. God meets us in those beginnings with His presence, His promises, and His power to make all things new.
