Refresh My Memory – The Taking of Pelham One Two Three

Time for the talking of The Taking of Pelham One Two Three. Jason Dedrick, Eric Fell and Vicky Van take you aboard their trains of thought, stopping at 1974. This trip does have snacks including Jell-O 1-2-3. Unfortunately the last package was made 20 years ago. So we did a three layer version of our own with cherry, orange and lemon. If you want to see a commercial for the original though… They also drink a Boozy 1,2,3, by combining Baileys Irish Cream and Sheridan’s Original Irish Cream (a two part drink left over from last episode). They even create a tribute drink called the Gesundheit. Want to make it? Put ice in a tumbler Make a “swamp water” mix of Cola, Root Beer and Orange Soda. Add an oz of cheap Whiskey Review from producer’s wife : Like drinking a dare as a teenager in the parking lot of a 7-11. If you make a or, better yet, make up a drink of your own, please send a picture to [email protected] by following this link! Even if you don’t, we’d still love to hear from you. Also let us know what you think of the show and if you have any suggestions for future films. Produced by Ian BoothbyEdited by Vicky VanTheme song by Chris Roberts

Refresh My Memory – Jack’s Back

Who’s back? Refresh My memory. Also Jack. Who’s Jack? Well, let Jason Dedrick, Eric Fell and Vicky Van tell you while sharing their first impressions of this 1988 “classic”. But what snacks to snack to Jack’s Back? Are they top of the pack? Or are they whack? First, the hosts will enjoy some Monterey Jack cheese on a Ritz, the most James Spader of crackers. Next is a beverage found online called Jack the Ripper. Break out the Jack Daniels and add orange juice and cinnamon to taste. They also create a tribute drink called the Smokin’ Picardo. Here’s how to make it: Take a chilled tumbler. Add two ounces of Sheridan’s Original Irish liquor – a mix of dark, rich coffee liqueur with a hint of chocolate and a smooth vanilla cream liqueur. Add two cherries on a plastic sword. Top with a shoe horn. It’s a drink the producer’s wife tasted and then described as, “Oh my God! Gah! It’s like a melted Wendy’s Frosty that’s been spiked. A very warm and nice aftertaste.” If you make a Smokin’ Picardo or, better yet, make up a drink of your own, please send a picture to [email protected] by following this link! Even if you don’t, we’d still love to hear from you. Also let us know what you think of the show and if you have any suggestions for future films. Refresh My Memory – Holes

Time for another episode of Refresh My Memory, ya dig? Well, even if you don’t, the cast of the 2003 film Holes sure do. Jason Dedrick, Eric Fell and Vicky Van tell you about their memories of the movie and if it’s like biting into an apple or an onion. Speaking of food, they also enjoy some themed snacks including focaccia, the hole-iest of breads. If you want to make some this is the Jamie Oliver recipe the producer used. As a tribute to star Shia LaBeouf they “enjoy” a Beefback or Bullshot. Here’s how to put one together. They also create a tribute drink called The Kissin’ Kate. Want to make it? Into a tumbler with ice add… 1 oz Southern Comfort 2 oz syrup from a can of peaches Add carved out balls from an apple (we just added a slice as garnish) Review from producer’s wife : Very nice. Like a peach Jell-O desert. Not too alcohol-ly. If you make a Kissin’ Kate or, better yet, make up a drink of your own, please send a picture to [email protected] by following this link! Even if you don’t, we’d still love to hear from you. Also let us know what you think of the show and if you have any suggestions for future films. They also create the tribute drink called a Provasic. Want to make it? Here’s the recipe… Fill half a teacup with: Lapsang Souchong tea add: 1 oz smokey whiskey and 1 oz vodka (Green food colouring is optional) The producer’s wife said, “It’s nice. The kind of drink you’d want while watch a St. Patrick’s Day parade in Chicago.” If you make a Provasic or, better yet, make up a drink of your own, please send a picture to [email protected] by following this link! It’s time for Refresh My memory: The Podcast to hear Vicky Van, Jason Dedrick and Eric Fell’s recollections. Does the film have the touch? Does it have the power? Or is it less than meets the eye? In honour of Leonard Nimoy’s voice role as Galvatron, the gang enjoys his famous Potatoes La Jolla Chez Jay with a surprise hint of banana. They also enjoy an Optimus Prime Punch by pouring blue sports drink over cranberry cocktail and then topping it with lemon-lime soda. They also create a tribute drink called the Seizure Warning. Here’s how to make it: Mix together 1/2 apple cider with 1/2 Champagne Add 1 oz. of Goldschlager The producer’s wife said it was like mouthwash and soda, and she felt sorry for the miners who had to dig for the wasted gold. In keeping with the after hours theme, they’ll be snacking on donuts from a local 24 hour cafe. They also create a tribute drink called the Surrender Dorothy. Here’s how to make it: Make a strong cup of black coffee. (You’re going to be up for a while.) Add a spoonful of icing sugar To this add one or two ounces of Bourbon The producer’s wife said it was “Good”. “Very Scorsese” and “Reminds me of a diner in a Greyhound station.” If you make a Surrender Dorothy or, better yet, make up one of your own, please send a picture to [email protected] by following this link!
