What does love look like? Sometimes it looks like someone sitting with you in a hard time—not with answers, just presence. Just care. That’s what Paul meant when he said: “Do everything in love.” (1 Cor. 16:14) As we continue our God With Us series, we’re asking: What if God’s love looks like you, showing up?

Listening requires stillness and obedience. We gotta slow down folks! Do you feel like you can take a breath, or do you go from this to this to that? It's so much! It's hard to hear God's whisper in the stampede that is our life. We can't feel his nudges if we fill every spare moment with busyness or mindless scrolling. Have you ever gotten off your phone and thought, "Man, that was so refreshing"? NO! you just lost all that time and are more anxious than before.Listening requires space, stillness, trust - STOP THE NOISE! Be still. Pray,"God, I know you're speaking, give me ears to hear" and then shut up, and listen. That's when we see the patterns, that's when we hear the wisdom.

Take some cues from Job, and Joyce:We can be honest. The truth can be hard, but God can handle it.We want to stay curious - not about the reason, but the result. Job didn't get answers, and neither did Joyce, but there are clear results in their lives of what God has done in and through them in these hard places. God may not explain why, but he will show up in the where.So, where are you experiencing loss or silence? and where might God be quietly present in the midst?Remember, silence doesn't mean absence.
