Christopher Korman, son of Harvey Korman

https://youtu.be/wQ5F_MfAEoU OMG! It’s Harvey Korman’s Son! I am still to this day a big fan of “Blazing Saddles” and “The Carol Burnett Show”. Mostly because of the talent and comedy timing of Harvey Korman. How fun would it be to spend 30 mins chatting with Mr. Korman about his amazing acting career? Well, how about 30 mins with his amazing son Christopher. Christopher wrote a book called “OMG! It’s Havey Korman’s Son!” which I find hilarious because he’s right up front about who his dad is. It reminds me that before I started this podcast I shot a TV pilot called “Vanna White’s Brother’s Talk Show” – look it up on YouTube – because like Christopher and his book, we were right up front about who’s talk show it was. Talking with Chritopher I learned he was lucky to be alive today because he was born with Hyaline membrane disease. HMD caused Christopher many health issues throughout his childhood, along with a severe learning disability. However his father was beyond supportive and encouraging. Always reminding Chrisopher to not let his disabilities define him. We discuss how his father helped him with a golf tournament and how over the years they both gave back to help kids with learning disabilities. A loyal subscriber to Relatively Famous found out I was going to interview Chris and wanted me to ask him about “the special award his father gave him” and about the “Star Wars Holiday Special”…Both are great stories! You’ll have to listen or watch to hear them. We also chat about Christmas’ in Lake Arrowhead, CA, what Dodger Dogs and pancakes mean to him still today and advice he has for his own son. James Tomlinson, Son of David Tomlinson

https://youtu.be/N96QYT05bw4 For many people, especially in America – me included, the 1964 film Mary Poppins is the first time we really discovered who David Tomlinson was. He played Mr. Banks, the head of the family and whom a lot of Mary’s lessons were aimed at. I also remembered him from the 1966 original Herbie the Love Bug and of course the 1971 film Bedknobs and Broomsticks. Mr. Tomlinson was a far greater actor than those three roles. He was a fantastic stage actor and VERY well known in the UK for both his stage and film work. His son James shares fond memories of life with his father, family and Walt Disney. Walt saw his dad on stage in London, introduced himself and left, leaving Mr. Tomlinson wondering what the point was. Later he was cast as Mr. Banks and the whole Tomlinson family were able to experience Walt’s generosity. James even asked Mr. Disney about his magic plane. We talk about who in the family followed father’s footsteps into the business, about how his Autistic brother William is gifted in woodworking way beyond what James can do. As they say across the pond, we had just a lovely conversation. I hope you will enjoy Jame’s story as much as I did. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Luckier-Than-Most-Autobiography-Tomlinson/dp/1917382049https://www.amazon.com/Disneys-British-Gentleman-Career-Tomlinson/dp/0750993308 #marypoppins #mrbanks #herbiethelovebug #autism #UK #Britain

Laurie Buffett McGuane, Sister of Jimmy Buffett

https://youtu.be/Zy8gIMgKDi8 I feel like this was a big win for Relatively Famous. To get Jimmy Buffett’s sister Laurie to say absolutely I’d love to be a guest after so many world renowned music relatives saying no put some gas back in my tank. In past episodes I have mentioned Laurie’s sister’s restaurant Lulu’s in North Myrtle Beach and had reached out to Lulu several times. Heck like Laurie and I talk about in our conversation I really didn’t know Jimmy had another sister. But while Googling Jimmy I found Laurie’s name and started digging around. Ok, I’m not always the brightest bulb in the pack but sometimes my light shines just enough to see something amazing. Hence, Laurie being our guest on this episode. What an amazing woman. Let’s start strong by talking about Laurie being a pancreatic cancer survivor. She was diagnosed the same day her brother Jimmy finished his treatment for Merkel cell carcinoma. The story she tells of that day and her time battling cancer is heavy and heartwarming. This is true sibling love and support. Laurie is a horse woman and a Montana rancher along with her famous husband, author Thomas McGuane. She is the middle sibling between Jimmy and Lulu. You’d think she was the quiet one being the middle child but she tells us that she was actually the gregarious one. Yet she always has to remind Lulu, with a smile and humor, to let people know, “Hey I’m out here too, it’s not just you and Jimmy.” We talk about life in Jimmy’s shadow, the weight you would think the Buffet name has in Florida but isn’t always so, about her love of horses, her husband’s books and which is her favorite. What also talk ranch life vs beach life. Laurie knows she has an amazing life. She talks of favorite family moments and incredible experiences she has had because of her brother. All I can really say is “even if you’re not a Parrot head you’ll LOVE our conversation about Jimmy, life, horses and family.” We’ve included links to a couple of articles about her husband Thomas and Lulu’s restaurants, and Jimmy’s website since Laurie’s pretty laid back in the social media world. https://www.jimmybuffett.com/https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2025/12/thomas-mcguane-writing/684617/https://lulusfunfoodmusic.com/ #horses #ranchlife #pancreaticcancer #canersurvivor #parrothead #lulu #jimmybuffett #margaritaville #cheeseburgerinparadise

Peter Ackerman, Son of Elinor Donahue

https://youtu.be/_syzlkyvXr8 Peter has double Hollywood Royalty in my book. First, I became a fan of Peter’s mom, Elinor Donahue, from The Andy Griffith Show and then through reruns of Father Knows Best. Second, I love so many of the classic sitcoms that his father Harry Akerman produced. As Pater and I talked on the phone he said let me just send you some background info for quick references. So here are Peter’s notes… Background: Dad – Harry Ackerman was an Executive at CBS back in the day. He did a lot there, including help develop for production, “I Love Lucy,” and helped create an early draft of what became radio’s “Gunsmoke.” Later he became a producer – Executive Producer of “Bewitched,” “Hazel,” “Dennis the Menace,” “Gidget,” “The Flying Nun,” and more. Mom is actress Elinor Donahue. She performed in vaudeville and on radio at a young age, got a contract at MGM where she was in some movies, and later became known to households as “Betty (nicknamed ‘Princess’)” in “Father Knows Best.” After that series, she went onto “The Andy Griffith Show” for a season but left it to marry my dad and begin a family. I was the first of their three boys together. Me – I got the acting bug, and more than my brothers, I fell in love with the business. I went whenever I could to a set where she (or my dad’s shows) were filming. For while I became an actor (nothing of note), and later got into the production side of the business, spending five years working freelance, mostly as a production assistant, on a lot of tv commercials and a lot of music videos, where I worked with many famous people (and once even stood in for Stephen Tyler of Aerosmith), with the rest of the band, during a song run through on a music video. Later worked in television, on shows and in the main tv department at Warner Bros, where I served as an office assistant. My final job was “Assistant to the Line Producer on “Friends” for two early seasons. Married and with children I felt another calling which years later had me serving as an Episcopal Priest, which is what I do now, choosing to live and work on the east coast. It was fun to hear stories of his life as a kid on so many of his parents’ tv sets. He even wrote a book “Mom, Dad, Me and Classic TV”. But he had to use his middle initial because there is another Peter Ackerman out there in the biz. So if you’re looking for Peter’s book on the internet, Google Peter K. Ackerman! https://www.facebook.com/peterack1962

Lilly Hiatt, Daughter of John Hiatt

https://youtu.be/LlG6RZOSKyc On Jan 25, 2007 at Ovens Auditorium in Charlotte, NC my wife had the opportunity to see Lyle Lovett, John Hiatt, Joe Ely and Guy Clark perform. It was an amazing evening of music from four awesome singer / songwriters. I start this introduction of this episode with that tidbit of information, because our guest is Lilly Hiatt, daughter of John Hiatt. I have been a fan of her father John Hiatt’s music since the mid 80s and seeing him at that show was a highlight of concert experiences for me. Lilly is a touring musician, singer / songwriter who I had tried to book as a guest back in 2025, but could never make it work out. When I saw Lilly would be playing at Sam’s Burger Joint in San Antonio in Feb of 2026, I reached back out to her manager suggesting an in-studio episode since Lilly would be in town. Needless to say I was thrilled when she said yes! And yes I did actually purchase tickets for the show that night. Lilly was grateful and had said she would have happily put my name on the list. I thought that was super nice of her, but we wanted to support her tour. Another note about that night, I have had a lot of musicians on the podcast and I remember Langdon and Wil Reid telling our listeners that merchandise sales is bread & butter to touring musicians, so I also bought a signed vinyl LP from Lilly. Remember folks buy the merch from the smaller acts on the road. Lilly chats about touring, growing up in Tennessee, her mom Nancy, sobriety, tattoos, songwriting and Elvis. Elvis came to Lilly during Covid and has been a loving member of Lilly’s family ever since that day he arrived. Okay, Elvis is her dog and the story of how she got Elvis is hoot. Lilly, thank you for coming to Nelco Comics for an awesome conversation! Be safe on the road, and keep the songs alive. https://www.lillyhiatt.com/https://www.facebook.com/LillyHiatthttps://www.instagram.com/lillyahiatt/

    Ron DeFore, Don DeFore’s Son

https://youtu.be/EkNSYRnwgow People always ask how I find my guest? Well, sometime you get lucky and a champion of your podcast has great connections and suggestions. It was that way with Ron DeFore, son of Don DeFore. Because of Warren Croom, a devoted subscriber, I connected with Ron, Cindy Mitchum, Christopher Korman, Peter Ackerman and James Tomlinson among others. Warren, thank you for your suggestions, help finding and getting me connected with so many of our guests. I knew of Ron’s father Don from reruns of the tv show Hazel and from watching some great Hollywood films he stared in like ‘Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo’ with Spencer Tracy. I did not know of the huge Walt Disney and Disneyland connections. Ron tells us of his father’s restaurant in Disneyland, of his youth growing up in The Park, causing mischief and being bored of riding the rides and experiencing attractions over and over. He also has fun tales of the mysterious “Don DeFore BBQ” plague that has popped up at Disneyland off and on over the years. Ron reveals those and so many other stories in the book he wrote called “Growing up in Disneyland”. We share stories of living in places and in a time where we could ride mini-bikes and dirt bikes on trials and around the neighborhoods without getting harassed by the local busy body or arrested for no license. I say we because we experienced some of the same childhood joys just on different sides of the US. We were both DJs back in the disco days. Ron was more in the heydays of the 70s LA clubs where I was more late 70s – early 80s in the Myrtle Beach dance scene days. Ron was dubbed the flying DJ because he was wired to fly over the dance floor in a wild electric space suit. There is a photo on the website of Ron in costume. I love talking with the children and relatives of 1940s, 50s, 60s and 70s Hollywood, as I’m sure you have gathered by some of our guest. To me, hearing of a time before everywhere in the Hollywood area was boxed in, before mega mansions, when there just seemed to be a little more decorum in being a Hollywood Celebrity just reminds of time spent watching old movies and tv with my mom and dad. Like our episode with Alison Martino, which is heavy with vintage LA tales, talking with Ron let’s me drift back to a special time in my life. Ron was a delight to chat with and I hope you enjoy our time together as much as I did. GrowingUpinDisneyland.com #disney #disneyland #disco #hazel

Michael Yonkura, Rocky Marciano 1st Cousin

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3KB_VjhtvTI Sometimes in life, I just happen to stumble across potential guests for the podcast at random places and times. And Podfest 2026 was just one of those times and places. I first spoke to Michael when a gentleman at the hotel was helping adjust one of Micheal’s legs. As I passed I made a joke that it looked like he had his own NASCAR pit crew. Thank goodness Michael has a good sense of humor because I could have been cancelled right then and there. See, Micheal is a double amputee and loves doing stand up comedy. That was why he was easy to remember when I actually had a chance for a long conversation with him. I had stepped outside of the hotel and Michael was sitting there getting some fresh air. Because it was a Podfest we naturally just started conversations with each other. He was telling me about why he was there, about how this was not his first Podfest and that he had signed up to do the comedy night again. Michael was there to learn more about podcasting, to promote his company DualAmp Media, LLC. and raise awareness for his podcast ‘The No Feet Survival Guide’ a podcast about how he got through health issues with humor and faith. He asked about why I was there and what Relatively Famous was? That led to him revealing that he was a distant relative of Rocky Marciano, the Heavyweight World Champion Boxer from 1952 – 1956. I knew who Rocky was but had to Google the correct terminology for his relationship to him. Marciano was Michael’s Great Grandfather’s 1st Cousin making him Michael’s 1st Cousin Twice Removed. For a moment I thought that could be a stretch for the Relatively Famous audience. But I discovered Micheal has a great story! So for me that is close enough. He does tell a few family stories about Rocky that have been passed down through the generations. But obviously never met him since Marciano died in 1969. Though Micheal didn’t follow his cousin’s path into the ring, he does have a flair for the spotlight. Not only does host his own podcast about his health (double amputee, kidney transplant and a tough bout of MRSA), he also does stand up comedy, acting and voiceover work. It was also during my Podfest conversation with Micheal that I met another Relatively Famous guest Will Neva – Randell Morris’ nephew. Yep, a shameless plug for another episode. Anyway, let’s give Michael a giant round of applause and welcome him to the show. https://www.gofundme.com/f/support-michael-while-waiting-for-disabilityhttps://castro.fm/podcast/3b25903c-76f5-4a7a-b057-fa5088d5ec54https://www.facebook.com/michael.yonkura/ #amputee #duelamputee #standup #comedy #standupcomedy #rockymarciano #boxing #worldchampion

Michael Osborne, Great-Great-Great Grandson of Herman Melville

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AogoqO30plo&feature=youtu.be Herman Melville – “Call me Ishmael,” “It is better to fail in originality, than to succeed in imitation,”“We cannot live only for ourselves. A thousand fibers connect us with our fellow men”. Moby Dick used to be required reading in school back in the day. Is it still? The Great White Whale that haunted Captain Ahab, becoming a tale of obsession for revenge on his leg. Of course Moby Dick has a much deeper context than I am paraphrasing, so go read it. As you can surmise I am no Herman Melville, but I do get to have a conversation with his Great-great-great Grandson today. Meet Michael Osborne, a fellow podcaster and yep, the Gx3 grandson of Mr. Melville. While at Podfest Expo 2026 I happened to mistake Micheal for someone I had met Friday night out at the cigar get-together. When I approached and mentioned the Friday night cigar club he replied, sorry, no I’m some other bald guy. Yet somehow we started chatting about Podfest and podcasting. When I told him about Relatively Famous he shyly said he was related to Herman Melville, but due to the lineage he assumed I would not be interested. How could I not be interested? His great-great-great grandfather wrote Moby Dick and beside, Micheal hosts a podcast called Famous & Gravy that I find extremely interesting. Michael lives in Austin, TX and is a semi-OG in the podcasting world. He’s been at it for a while and has had several successful podcasts. He still hosts a couple besides Famous & Gravy. Oh yeah, that’s gravy as in “They’re dead”. Heck, I’m just going to give you the bio he provided… Michael Osborne is the award-winning host of Famous & Gravy, and a veteran podcast producer and consultant based in Austin, Texas. He’s created three independent shows, all of which led to major media partnerships. He launched his first show, Generation Anthropocene, in 2011 during his PhD studies in earth science at Stanford University. The podcast later partnered with Smithsonian Magazine. After finishing his PhD, Michael developed Raw Data, in 2015, a narrative podcast that collaborated with PRX/PRI. In 2021, he launched Famous & Gravy, a dead celebrity biography podcast that partnered with Wondery in 2024. His work has earned multiple Webby and Signal Awards, including for Famous & Gravy, Black Women of Amherst College, and Stanford’s From Our Neurons to Yours. Michael has also delivered two TEDx talks. He operates 14th Street Studios where he manages production for multiple clients, and he also leads training and workshops. His clients include brands, universities, independent producers, and mission-driven organizations. Bio aside, we have a fantastic conversation about LIFE and other subjects. So be sure to check out this episode with Michael Osborne, the great, great, great grandson of Herman Melville! You can also find Michael and I having a lengthy conversation on an episode of Famous & Gravy after April 2026. Jasper Coverdale, Son of David Coverdale

https://youtu.be/qtRq6S7iC7Q It’s 1987, MTV Whitesnake music video of David Coverdale, big flowing blond hair singing “Here I Go Again” while Tawny Kitaen vamps on the hoods of 2 Jaguar XJs… MTV and Whitesnake at its peak, that is a Rock & Roll memory of a lifetime. Well on this episode I have an incredible conversation with Jasper Coverdale, son of David Coverdale. When his dad announced his retirement in 2025, I saw Jasper posting on social media about how proud he was of his dad and his long music career. Make no mistake David Coverdale retired from a long successful Rock & Roll career. Google him. So what is it like standing in the wings watching 10s of thousands of fans scream and sing along with your dad? How do you as the son choose a career and make your own path when your father is a worldwide rock star? Those were some of my thoughts and questions I had as we talked. We connected through social media because Jasper actually responded to a DM. I say that because sooooo many people (relatives) I reach out to through social media just ignore me. Jasper and I exchanged a few messages, had a phone call and locked in a recording date. Now, BAM you’re here to hear Jasper’s story. Jasper is an actor, he’s not just a rock star’s son calling himself an actor, and a writer, he studies and hones his craft for stage, film and tv. He takes both acting and writing very seriously. He has also had the opportunity to sing onstage with his father before 10,000 people. A feeling he cherishes to this day. Most of all, Jasper does not take his life and the experiences he’s been able to have with a grain of salt. He is a blast to talk with, articulate, funny and ready to make his on sunshine under the Coverdale name. https://www.instagram.com/jasper_coverdale #deeppurple #whitesnake #tawny #davidcoverdale #rock&roll #rockandroll #hairband #tahoe

Julie Rogers Pomilia, Granddaughter of Roy Rogers and Dale Evans

https://youtu.be/fMM2HI82cFI We were introduced to Julie Rogers Pomilia, the granddaughter of Roy Rogers and Dale Evans, by past guest Cindy Mitchum Azbill, the niece of actor Robert Mitchum. It’s so cool when a guest will call a friend and tell them about the podcast and suggest they come on. Why was I double happy about Julie coming on the podcast? One, she is a recommendation and two, I was the kid at Christmas that wanted Santa to bring me the fancy Roy Rogers cowboy outfit. It had to have either a red or blue shirt with white or black fringe, Roy Rogers gloves with fringe and RR branding, big cowboy hat and a two gun holster. I would tuck the fancy fringed pants into my shiny boots and pretend I was a famous cowboy like Roy Rogers with a horse as beautiful as Trigger. I did not however pretend to be a singing cowboy, because as my wife says, I am NOT known for my singing. With Julie, I find talking to grandchildren a treat, because they have 2 generations of tales to tell. And Julie has some fascinating stories about the Rogers / Evans household and life with famous grandparents. She recounts many of these in her book “Your heroes My Grandparents”. The Rogers were and still are a large close family. They are a blended family and include many adopted children. Roy and Dale were very open and advocates of special needs children because their daughter Robin was born with Down Syndrome. They did not shy away for making sure she was seen and a vibrant part of the family even though she died just shy of her 2nd birthday. Julie has taught elementary school for over 30 years, has a talent for calligraphy, loves her palomino horses and like her grandparents, she too has a large family of her own. We talked about the values that Roy and Dale personified not only on screen, but carried them into daily life. How the western movies went from the good guys win without killing the bad guys, to how the bad guy good guy line has blurred in western films over the years. Julie has lived a fantastic life stepping in and out of the Hollywood spotlight. She is always doing what she can to keep Roy & Dale and the human values they exemplified relevant in a changing world. She has the joy of having had loving grandparents who made sure all the children in their lives enjoyed the ranch, the horses, the limelight and personal one on one time. Julie, thank you for your time and amazing conversation. I am going to borrow your grandfather’s famous signature signoff – “Happy trails to you, Until we meet again. Happy trails to you, Keep smiling until then.” https://julierogerspomilia.com #royrogers #daleevens #trigger #palominohoreses #happytrails #westernmovies #singingcowboy #tvwesterns

Will Neva, Nephew of Randall Morris

https://youtu.be/H21ZBt-V2yc Randall Morris played five seasons in the NFL with the Seattle Seahawks and Detroit Lions. Like our past guest Craig Colquitt, Randall also played for The University of Tennessee. I met Randall’s nephew Will Neva at Podfest Expo 2026 in a roundabout conversation. He was sitting there in his Chef coat (because of his podcast) waiting on his Uber while I was chatting with another potential Relatively Famous guest. During that conversation and because it was Podfest, where everyone just talks to everyone within earshot, Will heard that I was Vanna’s brother. That opened the door for him to tell us, “I’m a comedian and I just wrote some new Vanna White material.” Will did the bit for Micheal Yonkura and I. His material was funny so jokingly I gave him the White Family seal of approval, not that he needed it, we just thought it would add to the humor of the story. Turns out Will is the nephew of a former Seattle Seahawk and has a cool life story to tell. He’s a personal chef, a comedian, writer and podcast host. He was also part of the 1994-95 classes from Woodrow Wilson High School in Long Beach that inspired the film “Freedom Writers” starring Hilary Swank. In honor of the Seattle Seahawks winning the 2026 Super Bowl let’s have a conversation with Will Neva about his life and his time with his Uncle Randall Morris of the 1984-88 Seahawks. #freedomwriters #comedian #longbeach #Podfest2026 #superbowl #seahawks #Vols #UofTennessee https://www.tiktok.com/@friedlaughs?_r=1&_t=ZT-93ME12fylqAhttps://www.instagram.com/comedian_will_nave/https://randallmorrisfoundation.org/

Cindy Mitchum Azbill, Niece of Robert Mitchum

https://youtu.be/NqkNsjeYWnM Cindy Mitchum Azbill’s uncle is the Academy Award Nominee for Best Supporting Actor, Robert Mitchum. Her dad John Mitchum, Robert’s brother, was a well-established character actor and Grammy nominated musician. Cindy kind of has the double whammy on this one. Cindy shares stories of the bond The Mitchum Brothers shared, funny and amazing tales of their childhood. Like riding the rails (hoboing) to get to their mother in California as young teenagers. Working together on a film and how her dad John was actually in more films and tv shows than Robert. She talks of meeting so many film and tv stars because of her dad’s prolific acting career that sometimes she didn’t even know they were famous. How her father became a Grammy Nominee and what she is doing to bring his spoken word LPs to life with film. She has an amazing list of actors wanting to participate in this project out of love and respect for the Mitchum Family. Cindy has worked tirelessly for years to secure all the rights to the photos in her father’s memoir “Them Ornery Mitchum Boys” so that she could reprint and release the book to the public. Links to purchase can be found below the show notes. Like so many of the conversations I have on the podcast, there is so much of her life in Hollywood that we didn’t cover, BUT the stories we did hit on and her path through life that we did cover are fascinating and truly from her heart. What a life her Uncle Bob (Robert Mitchum) and dad John lived, both as children and Hollywood Stars. Find “Those Ornery Mitchum Boy” on Amazon and Barnes & Noble! Billy Mays III, Son of Billy Mays

https://youtu.be/MxemT4kg_Bg Billy Mays III sets the record straight about the catchphrase “but wait there’s more” and his father, the legendary pitchman “Hi, Billy Mays here”. Heck I even used “but wait there’s more” my cold open… Find out what his famous catchphrase really was and why he used it on this episode of Relatively Famous. Pitchman Billy Mays died way too young and at the height of his career. Billy Mays was king of sales when tv infomercials were how new products broke into the mainstream public. Pitchmen were influencers before it was a thing and Billy Mays was the mid 1990s to 2009 top salesman. He even starred in the Discovery Channel show, Pitchmen. Billy III grew up mostly with his mom as his parents divorced when he was young. At the time his father was traveling full time doing trade shows on the road trying to build his brand and hone his salesmanship. When Billy Mays landed the gig at Home Shopping Network and started doing tv infomercials it allowed more time to get to know his son. Billy III shares those times together, and how he began to learn so much from his dad. We talk about when he realized his dad was a pop culture icon, about how his dad was instrumental in helping him pursue music. I ask if perhaps there is a career in the footsteps of his father? We talk about how music helped him grieve and be at peace with his father’s death and the invasive publicity surrounding his father’s death. I discovered that it’s one thing to be the brother of an American Pop Icon, but to be the son of a Pop Culture Pitchman is another thing. So, to quote the OG infomercial pitchman and mentor of Billy’s, Ronco legend Ron Popeil, “Wait there’s more”… Oh, and check out the photo on the website of the cool Billy Mays and Infinite Third stickers Billy III sent me. I promise you’ll be intrigued by my conversation with Billy Mays III son of Billy Mays! https://campsite.bio/billymays https://infinitethird.com

Amanda Bickell, Wife of Bryan Bickell

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D4-U1Gaz5Do&feature=youtu.be Growing up in South Carolina in the 60s & 70s ice hockey was not something on my radar. I can’t even remember if we had an ice rink anywhere along The Grand Strand. I did however, play roller hockey at the Crescent Beach Skating Rink almost every Sunday from 11 to 13 yrs old. So when Philip said Bryan Bicknell’s wife Amanda wants to do the podcast I had to do some research. Chicago Blackhawk, Carolina Hurricanes & Charlotte Checkers fans forgive me, I mean after all, he is a 2 time Stanley Cup winner. Now, his wife Amanda is a firecracker and an awesome person to have a conversation with. She has so many stories, from being raised by a single mom and girls bullying her in school, to dating Bryan in school and breaking up because of family drama. I may have to do a part 2 to cover the stories we didn’t talk about. When she and Bryan split up, she ran off to British Columbia to pursue a wild child life, modeled in NYC at 18 and was accepted into the Stella Adlers acting school. However she had to come back to Canada to get her paperwork in order and never returned to to pursue her dreams. Upon returning home she soon became Bryan’s wife and started living the life of a professional hockey player’s wife. They were young, he was a pro hockey player, parties were wild and crazy, life was fun. That’s when people they thought were friends took them for a lot of Bryan’s hard earned income. Those are some of the circumstances the led to Amanda’s depression and feeling her life had no purpose. She couldn’t work in the US, the girls were young and she needed something in her life. So they started their foundation, The Bryan & Amanda Bicknell Foundation which helps rescue abused Pit Bulls. Link is below. After the 2015 Stanley Cup win, Bryan started to not feel well and was diagnosed with MS. She said after he retired there was some dark times with Bryan’s depression and life with beginning stages of MS. She said life was tough for them during those times, so Amanda started acting again and soon wanted to venture into producing. This is when she started feeling life was good and there is a purpose. That helped lift her out of the darkness and she was able to help Bryan see some light in his life. They bought some property and are building cottages where they will start hosting retreats for people with MS. This is a big dream and huge undertaking and that is why they are always looking for donors and underwriters. Oh yeah, she and Bryan are also very active and proud parents of 2 beautiful daughters. And if all that is not enough to keep them busy, Amanda convinced Bryan to become part owners of the Durham Hawks Hockey Team in the NPHL league. You’ll love Amanda Bicknell, wife of Bryan Bicknell. She is honest, raw, full of life, energy and loves her pit bull rescues. https://www.instagram.com/abickell/?hl=enhttps://www.instagram.com/bickellfoundation/?hl=enhttps://www.instagram.com/bickellspoint/?hl=enhttps://www.instagram.com/durhamhawks_nphl/?hl=en #nhl #durhamhawks #blackhawks # icehockey #Stanleycup #pitbulls #MS

Robert Sweet, Brother of Michael Sweet

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ebe5PxW0JuE I was set to meet Robert for the time after a Stryper show in Charlotte, NC on May 11th, 2022 but Covid was still poking around so Meet & Greets were not happening. Well, come August 2023 I now live in San Antonio and Stryper is playing an outdoor show with Vixen as the opening act. A few texts to Michael and Perry and I’ve scored tickets and passes to hang with the band. The night before the show I went to the hotel to pick up Perry for a night of cigars and catching up on life and Myrtle Beach memories. Before we left to go indulge, the band was in the lobby heading to dinner and stroll down the River Walk. While Perry confirmed Micheal wasn’t coming I chatted with Robert and Oz real quick. Even had a few moments again the next night at the pre-show Meet and Greet. Hard to have a full interview or really get to know someone at a band M & G. I tell this tale because when Robert I linked up for the podcast interview it was the most he and I had ever talked. To be upfront I did interview Micheal for his episode before I chatted with Robert thus I refer back to Micheal’s episode for certain questions. Music has always been a big part of my life and as a teen reading the LP liner notes with band bios, lyrics and song info was a must. That is how we learned about the musicians in our favorite bands. Drummers and bass players were members I liked to learn about, even though I can’t play either instrument. Robert is an amazing drummer. I would say in the Rock & Roll world Robert is way overlooked for his talent and contributions to Rock & Roll. Perhaps because of the fact Stryper is a Christian rock band mainstream music media outlets shy away. Drumming live on stage during a Stryper concert, Robert has so much energy and style it’s difficult to stop watching to see what the rest of the band is doing. I love that he sets his kit up sideways so the audience can see him playing. As a person who struggles with faith and religion, my conversations with Robert and Micheal were very open and thought provoking. Like Stryper polarizes rock fans I’m sure Micheal and Robert will turn away some of our listeners. Which would be sad. Both Robert and Micheal are awesome guys and have had a wild life as Rock Stars. From the beginning, to the new Stryper Christmas album, we talk about the bands longevity, their faith, having their equipment stolen, getting to play with KISS and Metallica. Wishing they had played with Van Halen and cars, muscle cars and dream cars. I hope you enjoy our time with Robert. For me, it was sweet (pun intended). https://stryper.comhttps://www.youtube.com/@StryperChannelhttps://www.facebook.com/Stryper/https://www.facebook.com/groups/161966015164533/https://www.facebook.com/TheRobertSweethttps://www.patreon.com/Stryper #robertsweet #stryper #christianmusic #christianrock #electricjesus #heavenandhelltour #jesus #christianmetal #hairband #80srock #glamrock #drummer #rockdrummer #musclecars #michaelsweet

Michael Sweet, Brother of Robert Sweet

https://youtu.be/SoaELjC4Epo There are times I struggle to get guests forgetting I actually know people and just need to look through my fogged memory. It was one of those moments when it hit me, “Dude, you know Michael and Robert Sweet, duh!”. It was around the Christmas Holiday, Stryper just released their first Christmas Album “The Greatest Gift of All” when I reached out. Michael was game and connected me with his daughter to arrange the ZOOM and to get his brother Robert on board. I confirmed with Ellena that Michael was cool with being billed as Robert Sweet’s brother and vice versa that Robert was cool with being billed as Michael’s brother. All was cool and the schedule locked. I first met Michael on September 15th, 2020 when myself and the other Electric Jesus producers flew up to Plymouth, MA to personally screen the film for Michael and Lisa, while the rest of Stryper simultaneously streaming it in NV & SC. We were seeking the Stryper stamp of approval on the film. We got it… Afterwards over dinner, at his and Lisa’s favorite Italian restaurant we had a fantastic time talking with him about the film, the band and life. Michael and I kept in touch, chatting about a Stryper documentary film they were working to get into production and shows in my local areas. I guess I should have asked about the documentary in the interview. Eve and I have some friends in Charlotte who are Stryper fans and that is when I saw my first Stryper show. It was at Amos’ Southend in Charlotte and man I was amazed at the power of Michael’s voice, how tight the band was and Robert’s energetic drumming style. They ROCKED and still do. Then a couple of years later we moved to San Antonio and we got to see them play again. Nothing like an outdoor rock show in San Antonio in August. Yes, I’m being sarcastic. That may the closest to Hell’s heat the band ever played. Yes, I’m being funny. The night before the show in San Antonio, Perry Richardson and I went out and enjoyed cigars and catching up until about 1am. Michael passed to save his voice. I have also been friends with Perry’s sister Sheri back in Myrtle Beach since the late 70s. I’m working on having Sheri as a guest. Well, I can say I had a great time talking with Michael about, music, the myth of the Heaven & Hell tour, being a Christian and how people want to bring you down rather than be lifted up. We laughed about literally arguing with people about shows that didn’t happen and that my sister doesn’t own a house on the Blvd. We talk about the moment when he felt as a musician that the band had MADE IT… How they are still touring, recording and have out survived many Rock & Roll peers. You know what, To Hell With The Devil, let’s get this episode started. Enjoy your time with Michael Sweet, lead singer for Stryper and brother of Robert Sweet the world famous drummer for Stryper. https://stryper.comhttps://www.youtube.com/@StryperChannelhttps://www.facebook.com/Stryper/https://www.facebook.com/groups/161966015164533/https://www.facebook.com/TheMichaelSweet #michaelsweet #stryper #christianmusic #christianrock #electricjesus #heavenandhelltour #jesus #christianmetal #hairband #80srock #glamrock

Nicole Mattox, Daughter of Leslie Mouton

https://youtu.be/-7G1geVG6hE Our guest is Nicole Mattox, a super star Vertical Drama actress on a fast rise to fame. She is also the daughter of a famous newscaster. We featured Nicole’s mom, Leslie Mouton, a few episodes back. Leslie was a San Antonio KSAT news anchor who became known worldwide for documenting her battle with cancer. One night during the height of her treatment she did the evening newscast sans her wig. She wanted to let people in treatment, and in life, know that your hair did not define you or your cancer. Next thing she knew she was on Oprah, Good Morning America, featured in magazines and was being celebrated around the world. Her daughter Nicole is just as stunning as her mom, just as full of energy and life as Leslie and so just as fun to talk with. So talk we did… We talk with Nicole about what it was like growing up as the daughter of a local San Antonio news anchor. About being the daughter of a former Air Force fighter pilot who happened to have been stationed in Myrtle Beach in the 80s. One was almost impossible to escape and the other made days on the lake more exciting. We talk about moving to LA, about what path lead to acting and who some of her dream co-stars are. As a former film, tv producer and part time actor, I really loved learning about the Vertical Film / Drama world. Nicole is the winner of the 2025 “Vertical Queen Award”, aka best actress award. I have a great teacher to walk me through this hot media trend. Some of these verticals have over 3 million views and huge international audiences. I have to admit I get drawn in as I’m scrolling. I have even watched some of Nicole’s before I knew who she was. The more I started following Nicole’s social media accounts the more fascinated I became. She has an amazing loyal and fast growing fan base. Let’s hope they all share Nicole’s episode and subscribe to Relatively Famous! Not only has Nicole won the Vertical Queen Award, she and co-star Seth Edeen were nominated for the “Best Chemistry” award also. As a super cool bonus Seth Edeen was in the studio during our recording and I asked him to sit down and join Nicole during the last 5 mins of the show. I can see why they were nominated for best chemistry! https://www.instagram.com/nicolemattoxhttps://www.imdb.com/name/nm11476913/https://www.tiktok.com/@nicole_mattoxhttps://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61578345971247https://www.facebook.com/seo.shine.2024 #verticaldrama #verticalvideo #verticalfilms #nicolemattox #sethedeen #KSAT #fighterpilot #myrtlebeach #myrtlebeachairforcebase #lesliemouton #queenaward

September Cardiff, Mother of Cayman Cardiff

https://youtu.be/Tjks9ZlehOI My friend Christy Crandall, a producer in the Santa Rosa film community suggested I look into the actor Cayman Cardiff. She informed me that Cayman is a popular actor in the fast growing Vertical Video / Film trend and that his mom, September Cardiff, is awesome and would be a great guest. Cayman is on the rise and cusp of Hollywood / Film fame, and having September on is kind of like Episode #15 with John Iseman – Madison Iseman’s dad. Both episodes are fun perspectives of life when their child is becoming a movie star. With Cayman’s career, there is a rapidly growing trend and huge audience in the Vertical Video / Film market. To fans of these internet sensations, Cayman Cardiff is a big star. Vertical Video / Film fans love him in “Under the Hood” and “A Vampire in the Alpha’s Den” among others. As an actor Vertical Video / Film is a shooting star to the top of the fame game these days. So I texted September, we chatted and she was on board. Once I learned what September does for her career I knew she would be fun and full of energy. September has this amazing live production that she takes to libraries and schools all over Kentucky, South Carolina, Georgia and places in-between to promote reading. Her productions includes puppets, magic, songs and interactive fun to encourage and engage young people in the joys of reading. She also is an author of children’s books, see the link below to learn more. I don’t know why, but I was surprised when she told me was a scholarship awarded basketball player in college. So I asked her, how tall are you? September is also a BOYMOM of four, so she had a lot to chat about. Cayman and his brothers were recruited at an early age to help mom in her productions and commercials. She believes that is where the acting bug started, even though Cayman was on the path to being an Orthopedic Surgeon before modeling and acting became his profession. After the basketball comment, I had to ask about the boys heights… 6’2” to 6’6”, with Cayman being 6’4”. To mom’s surprise baby brother Tazman, has moved to LA and is following Cayman’s footsteps to also pursue an acting career. I’m sure we’ll see them acting together in brother / buddy movie in the near future. Are you listening Hollywood writers? September was even forgiving of me when I flubbed a credit of Cayman’s right at the beginning of the interview. I actually looked Cayman’s credits up, but at the same time researched another actor’s IMDb. Well, I flipped them in my interview. No edits, foot in mouth, AGAIN… I own my mistakes and another vertical video series got a shout out. Learn more about September’s reading programs and books by clicking her links below. www.temberstales.comhttps://www.imdb.com/name/nm13604121/https://www.instagram.com/caymancardiff/https://www.facebook.com/caymancardifftalent/ [email protected] #verticalfilms #reading #childrensbooks #collegebasketball #actor #verticalvideo #caymancardiff #september #kentucky #library #southcarolina #georgia

Karen Knotts, Daughter of Don Knotts

https://youtu.be/aMZur8zjfsg Karen Knotts father was the top notch, first rate, five time Emmy winner, comedic actor known around the world as Deputy Barney Fife, Leader of the Apple Dumpling Gang, The Incredible Mr. Limpet and Three’s Company Mr. Furley, yep Karen’s father is actor Don Knotts. My friend and writer / director of the documentary “The Mayberry Effect” connected me with Karen and Dixie Griffith (Episode #51) telling me what a wonderful person Karen truly is and how I should make sure to get her on the show. After a few hiccups we were finally able to connect and make it happen. Karen was a Librarian for most of her career, I know it sounds like a setup for an “Andy Griffith Show” set-up. She now is a standup comic, actress and loves sharing stories about her father and her career path. We did chat a lot about her family life growing up, and what her one woman show is about. We also reflected on Don and his career in film and tv, what a great father he was and just how good of an actor he really was. Karen loves being a part of the Mayberry Family, meeting fans of the Andy Griffith Show and hearing how her father and the show touched their lives. It has had a lasting impact on my life. She is also thrilled when his Three’s Company fan base shares stories and their love for her dad with her. I have watched clips of Karen’s comedy and show and I have to say if she is playing in a town near you, get tickets and check out her show. So I’m going to “Nip it in bud” and end these show notes here so you can jump right into Karen’s episode.

Jack & Davis Reid, Sons of Wil & Langdon Reid

https://youtu.be/WWDTXbyZlmQ This episode is a first for Relatively Famous. I’m calling it a double-dipping episode. Jack & Davis Reid are Harold & Don Reid of the legendary country group The Statler Brothers, grandsons. The double dip is they are also the sons of the duo Wilson Fairchild’s Wil and Langdon Reid, the sons of Harold & Don Reid from Episode #40. Like their fathers, I found Jack & Davis to be funny, talented and fun to interview. But unlike their dads they perform under a clear cut identity, JACK & DAVIS. Just kidding Wil & Langdon, Wilson Fairchild is a cool name for a band. Jack & Davis are young and have a great outlook on life, music, their career and social media trolls. They could care less what trolls have to say and sometimes for fun they taunt them back. They do like when folks are kind and positive and will often personally respond to those social media questions and comments. They are cousins, best friends and business partners, yet they still seem to enjoy singing, hanging out, traveling, finishing each other’s thoughts and writing songs together. I wondered about how I might relate to these young men before we started recording, after all they’re closer to my son’s age and I can be a little bit of a “get off my lawn you dang kids” grumpy old man. However I truly enjoyed talking with them, learning about how they became a duo, it wasn’t a natural progression. Being in their 20s, I had to ask why they sometimes wear those matching outfit like old classic country bands and singers? These two young men just love what they do and really don’t care if people don’t like their music or tell them to get over their grandfather’s Statler Brothers connection. Jack & Davis aren’t doing it so much for fans but for their enjoyment. They truly love singing songs of their granddads and feel sometimes the world could use some of those songs. Jack & Davis are earning their way in the world of country music and not coasting on their grandfathers or fathers coattails! Ok, they do sometimes share a tour bus with their dad’s. But who wouldn’t want to ride in a bus over a van, right? They are working hard and playing shows that build a career and strong fan base, not quick internet one hit wonders. What a blast and energetic interview Jack & Davis proved to be. These two clearly love each other, love what they do and love to share it with fans, both new and old. I hope you enjoy their conversation as much as I did. https://www.relativelyfamous.net/episode-40-wil-langdon-reid-harold-don-reid-sons/https://jackanddavisreid.com/https://www.facebook.com/jackanddavisreidmusic/https://www.instagram.com/jackanddavisreidmusic/?hl=enhttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCTUsCoWaUrQ4m03akKm-bNA

Leslie Mouton, Mother of Nicole Mattox

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UTysh5M_SOw Leslie came to Relatively Famous through our Producer Philip Nelson. He and Leslie have known each other for many years, starting when she was a news anchor here in San Antonio at KSAT. Leslie’s daughter Nicole Mattox is an actress and winner of the Vertical Queen Award 2025, which is really the best actress award in the digital series world. Here on Relatively Famous have started dabbling in the Vertical Film / Video fame genre and were thrilled when Leslie accepted our invitation to be a guest. Please Google Nicole Mattox (or click some links below) to learn more about her career. Here in San Antonio Leslie has been a local celebrity since her days as a KSAT new anchor and beyond, so Nicole also qualifies as a guest. At the age of 35 Leslie was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of breast cancer. Rather than try and hide or pretend all was well, Leslie allowed camera crews to follow her journey. She showed viewers what life is like when fighting cancer, the treatments, the surgeries, chemo and radiation therapies. It was during this time that Leslie chose to anchor the news one night without her wig which lead to world-wide recognition with appearances on Oprah, Good Morning America and even my old stomping grounds, Inside Edition. Leslie left KSAT in 2020 and now devotes her energy to Morgan’s Wonderland Inclusion Foundation based here in San Antonio, TX. She was thrilled to learn that our sponsor pushes inclusion for all people in their promotion of the Myrtle Beach area along with Traveling the Spectrum on Peacock and now wants to learn more about how “The Beach is for Everybody”. Having never met Leslie before this interview I was very inspired and impressed with her story, her journey as a cancer survivor and her joy of giving back to the community. She is so down to earth and has a fantastic perspective on Nicole’s career and success as an actress. Fans of Nicole’s and the vertical films Breaking the Ice, Snatched a Billionaire One Night and Found a Homeless Billionaire Husband on Christmas will love hearing Nicole’s mom’s story! #cancer #verticalvideo #verticalfilm #digitalseries #verticaldrama #morganswonderland #KSAT #oprah #insideedition #sanantonio #chemo #chemotherapy #radiationtherapy #newsanchor #utaustin #longhorns #ut #utlonghorns https://morgans.org/ https://www.lesliemouton.com https://www.linkedin.com/in/leslie-mouton-59474563 https://www.imdb.com/name/nm11476913/?ref_=fn_t_1

Brandon Osmond, Son of Donny Osmond

https://youtu.be/fZjh3KkG0nU I am going to go ahead and admit it right here, right now. Growing up my sister and I had several 45s of Brandon’s father’s family band. Yes we were fans of The Osmonds, Donny as a solo and as a family we watched The Donny & Marie Show. Vanna was even a guest on Donny & Marie’s talk show several years ago. In this episode I have a fantastic conversation with Brandon Osmond, son of Donny Osmond. I was introduced to Brandon by our sponsor visitmyrtlebeach.com and after almost 6 months of back and forth we were finally able to lock in a date to record. I wasn’t sure what to expect because in my mind I assumed it would be a bubbly Osmond interview. What I found out was Brandon is a very down to earth family man working hard to establish his career and provide a great life for his children. He is also very aware of the Osmond legacy. He is super family oriented, proud of the mark The Osmonds have left on the music world and very in tune with the shifts both up and down of his father’s career. We talked about his time in Myrtle and working with Visit Myrtle Beach. Yes, a shameless plug. I loved the story he tells of Michael Jackson calling his dad and the impact that call had on his perspective of his father’s career. We chat about the joy he experienced as kid hanging out backstage during Donny’s Broadway days as the lead in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. This episode is one that you really must listen to or watch on YouTube, I really can’t do justice trying to summarize our conversation in show notes. When Brandon’s book comes out I think I may have to have him on again for a part 2. Or maybe one of his 4 brothers would be fun. So forgive the shortness of my description and jump into the world of Brandon Osmond, son of Donny, nephew of Marie, Alan, Wayne, Merrill, Jay and Jimmy. myrtlebeach #donnyosmond #theosmonds #onebadapple #donnyandmarie #marieosmond #utah #michaeljackson https://brandon-osmond.com/ https://www.linkedin.com/in/brandon-osmond-9bab4a11 https://www.youtube.com/c/brandonosmond https://donny.com/

Brad “Curly G” Server, Grandson of Curly Howard

https://youtu.be/wvqYhKdnsCk Growing up, and even to this day I am a Three Stooges Fan. Like a large amount of the Three Stooges fan base it is Moe, Larry & Curly that are my favorite Stooges trio. Thanks to social media I was able to connect with Bard “Curly G’ Server. Brad is the grandson of Curly Howard of The Three Stooges. I guess that makes him a Great Nephew to Moe & Shemp Howard too. But that’s another tale, let’s stick with Curly. Brad’s mother Marilyn was Curly Howard’s daughter. After Brad’s grandmother divorced Curly in 1940, Marilyn’s mother remarried a man named Moe Diamond. At the age of 14 when her mother remarried Marilyn closed the door on any connection to Curly Howard for many many years. As a youth watching tv with his siblings, Brad was naturally attracted to Three Stooges short reels yet had no idea he was related to Curly, Moe and Shemp. Brad, a self-proclaimed class clown, was and is always doing wild and crazy things for a laugh. Strangely like his grandfather Brad took to physical comedy at an early age and has mastered some of Curly’s signature moves. After he and his siblings were told their biological grandfather was actually Curly Howard and the shock settled down, they were also told not to talk about it out of respect for their grandfather Moe Diamond. Marilyn was also worried about lawsuits regarding The Three Stooges rights. And as Brad says, who was going to believe him, this kid they all knew for years suddenly telling all his friends “yeah Curly on The Three Stooges is my granddad”. As an adult I still sometimes have that reaction regarding Vanna. Time, understanding and the legal issues around The Three Stooges settled has finally opened the door for Brad and his siblings to talk about their lives, meet fans of their grandfather and become a part of the extended Howard and Fine families. Today, Brad performs as “Curly G”. He has a YouTube channel where he and his comedy partner honor The Three Stooges and their legacy. He shares his story wherever he is asked and loves to make people laugh. He pays homage to his roots by taking a lot of physical abuse in the name of comedy. Plus Brad is just an all-around cool guy to sit and talk with. Brad loves his family and is super proud of his wife and daughter. Referring back to opening notes, and as Brad states in his interview, take nothing away from Shemp, Joe and Curly Joe as they also contribute to the endearing longevity of The Three Stooges. All of them, Moe, Curly, Larry, Shemp, Joe and Curly Joe had successful acting careers with and without The Three Stooges and were all amazing actors. Bard, thanks for sharing your family history with us. https://www.instagram.com/curlysgrandson/https://www.facebook.com/CurlysGrandsonhttps://www.facebook.com/groups/1409431369168994https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdzsQCzUKg8Hpsc1ws_j3lwhttps://www.imdb.com/name/nm7795891/https://threestooges.com/https://www.shopknuckleheads.com/ #threestooges #curly #moe #larry #3stooges #shemp #curlyjoe #shortreels #physicalcomedy #threestoogesfan #joe #piefight

Holland King, Sister of Marcus King

https://youtu.be/pS2253ALDss Back in Episode #30 we interviewed Marcus King’s father, Marvin King. In this episode we get a glimpse into the world of being Marcus King’s sister, Holland King. I love taking with siblings because I can relate to a shadow cast and looking for our sunshine. Although Holland does play a little saxophone she is not musically enthralled like her dad and brother. Holland loves Rock & Roll but has no desire to be center stage. Holland will proudly tell you “I’m blue collar and I’m the fighter of family”. To hear her talk about trying to get Marcus to put down his guitar come outside and play or climb a tree or even jump off the roof is hilarious. She says, nope he would sit on the porch and watch, cause all he wanted to do was just play his guitar. Holland tells us growing up she was living in a house where all she heard was guitar plucking and picking. She laughs now but she tells us somedays back then all she wanted was to be seen and heard, but all there was, was dad and Marcus’s guitars a plucking and a picking. Now when she and Marvin get together, he’ll sit the guitar down and enjoy their time together talking. When Holland says she’s Blue Collar, she means it. Holland is a spitfire, no holds barred dump truck driver! She loves it!!! But has plans to sign on as tour bus driver for an unnamed rock band. She loves driving her trucks, being a single mom to her two boys and getting quality time with father, brother and family. We also had a serious conversation about standing in the shadow and feeling invisible when the show is over and fans swarm Marcus and his dad. Well Holland, thanks to Relatively Famous, both you and I are no longer invisible and we telling our stories loud and proud. #ericclapton #stevierayvaughn #dumptruck #bluecollar #singlemom #truckdriver #roadie #guitarpickin #eminem #jellyroll #chrisstapelton #tourmanager #tourbusdriver #manmoney #dumptruckdriver

Patricia Vonne, Sister of Robert Rodriguez

https://youtu.be/R8D9RbVU64Y Patricia Vonne is the sister of Texas filmmaker Robert Rodriguez, a legendary director / writer that turned a low budget feature film into a trilogy of hit movies… Robert’s films include El Mariachi, Desperado, Once Upon A Time In Mexico, Spy Kids and Sin City among others. The Rodriguez Family are from San Antonio where Patricia and her 9 siblings grew up in house filled with love, music and respect. So when Patricia came to visit her parents here in San Antonio, we were lucky she was available for an in-studio conversation. First, not only is Patricia tall and stunning, she’s also charming, full of life, energy and positivity. She is a Rock Star, no really she is a legitimate ROCK STAR. With years of world tours under her belt, 10 albums (CDs & streaming), songs in many of Robert’s films and a prolific catalogue of songs she has written, you can see why I say she is a legit rock star. Oh and she is an award winning animated filmmaker, artist, world traveler and she crushes it on the castanets. She even gave me a little live lesson. Sitting across from each other at Nelco Comics we talk about her music, the influences for her songs she sings in Spanish, her rock and folk songs and the songs featured in movies. We had a chance to discuss some mutual musicians we know, “The Cruzados / Tito and the Tarantulas”, and the impact they had on both of our lives. Like Episode #52, our interview with Freida Parton, they both come from large families where music always filled the house. With Robert around filmmaking, with a camcorder, was also part of life in The Rodriguez household. Particia lets us in on Rodriguez family stories, life in a big family, plus how and when she discovered her mother was a flamenco dancer. Her big sister convinced Patricia to follow her to New York City to experience life outside of San Antonio. There she was quickly spotted by a talent agent and started modeling. It was also in NYC where she really began her professional musical journey. Patricia does not take her music or performing for granted. She knows just how blessed she is to have her amazing music, film and art career. Eve and I went to see Patricia perform at Jazz TX at The Pearl in San Antonio. Before that she and I had been playing phone / email tag about her being on the podcast. Afterwards I knew she had to be a guest on the podcast. In the talent world there are people that have it and those that don’t. Patricia, she has it, whatever it is, she has it… Patricia Vonne – Sister of Robert Rodriguez WELL, here she is and I couldn’t be more thrilled, ENJOY…. Freida Parton, Sister of Dolly Parton

https://youtu.be/7fHf8ZbM_YU Seems like everyone loves Dolly Parton. She is also one of Vanna’s favorite people and Vanna strives to emulate Dolly’s goodness, kindness and generosity. Plus, Dolly has a fantastic family dinner show in Myrtle Beach, SC called Dolly’s Pirate Voyage Dinner Show. So when Freida Parton, Dolly’s younger sister responded YES to my request to be a guest I was overjoyed. Including Dolly, Lee and Avie Parton had 12 children. I have struggled to raise just one. Freida and her twin brother Floyd, who passed away on 12/6/2018, are the 10th and 11th children of the Parton Clan., followed by youngest of the siblings Rachel Parton George. Freida blazes her own path and is amazing to talk with. She has more stories than our time allowed. She recounts writing a song in Hawaii at Dolly’s house on the beautiful white Baby Grand Piano. Freida has a huge, and I mean huge, catalogue of music. She writes 1-3 songs a day. She told us that Dolly’s even shocked at how many songs she’s written. Freida has performed, recorded and written music with Dolly, been a regular performer at Dollywood with her sister Stella and has a new LP coming out. She married young and with her husband co-wrote “Sing for the Common Man” on Dolly’s 9 to 5 LP. Freida could have been the first Parton to dive head first into Rock & Roll. If you are an 80’s hairband rock fan then you’ll totally rock with Freida’s first album “Two Faced” from 1984. The single’s video, Oriental Doll, played on MTV. Life has not always been easy for Freida as she’s pursued her musical career. There were some dark roads she had to navigate and demons she had put behind her. She’s tough, talented, and determined to leave her mark on this earth. Freida’s life adventures have produced some great tales to tell, good or bad it’s a life she is happy to share. https://www.instagram.com/the_real_freida_parton/?hl=en https://www.facebook.com/FreidaPartonFans https://www.dollydiscography.com/freida-parton-discography.html https://www.facebook.com/people/Freida-Parton/61577998989224 https://piratesvoyage.com #dollyparton #9to5 #Freidapartonb #dollywood #twofaced #contrymusic #rockandroll #hairbands #myrtlebeach #piratesvoyage #orientaldoll #mtv #vannawhite #hawaii #grandpiano #floydparton #twins #twin #rachelparton

Dixie Griffith, Daughter of Andy Griffith

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JX1_nCEf5-Q It’s difficult to find someone over 30 that is not a fan of Dixie’s father Andy Griffith, star of Matlock and The Andy Griffith show. Sheriff Andy Taylor is a national treasure in my opinion! I know I have been a fan for at least 55+ yrs of my life. Andy’s musical talents and recordings have crossed multiple decades. His comedy recording of “What it was, was football” will always be classic comedy gold. I once had signed copy of his comedy LP, Andy Griffith Just For Laughs. It was a prize possession that was stolen from my West Hollywood apartment in 1984. Yeah, I’m still mad at that thief. Dixie shares her life as a kid when they would spend their summers on the Outer Banks of NC where her father was just Andy to local folks, to life in Toluca Lake, CA where dad was a famous film and tv star. We chat about the effect that The Andy Griffith show has on people, how being a part of the Mayberry family is so gratifying, the different Mayberry events she has participated in, the films Mayberry Man and The Mayberry Effect. We talk about how good of an actor father really was and how he should have won an Oscar for the Ella Kazan film “A Face in the Crowd”. She shares how difficult it was for her brother being compared to Opie by the public and losing him at a young age. I even ask her about the new Matlock with Kathy Bates! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a_AwfI9TPY8 https://www.themayberryeffect.com

Dean Miller, Son of Roger Miller

https://youtu.be/5QRIkdQtltg Dang Me. I got to have the King of the Road, Roger Miller’s son Dean on the show! Do-Wacka-do is that exciting to me. In 2002 Eve and I saw the Deaf West Production of Big River in LA. The production and the music (though I already knew it from the album) changed my live theater experience for life. I was a fair weather fan of Roger’s until that night. Since then, River in the Rain is probably one of my favorite songs of all time. Dean responded to a social media message about being a guest, which I’m finding is rare (Dang it). He was game right off the bat and we caught him in the car on the way to his office. Our second in car interview. See Matt Axton episode #38 He has lived a fascinating life, from learning to make his own music and path in the music business. to being a renowned dog trainer. Yeah, dog training was news to me and a fun topic to chat about. I was, “wait, wait a minute you’re a dog trainer? I thought you were a singer, songwriter and producer?” Oo-De-Lally it seemed like he was pranking me at first. He wasn’t. He talks about how his dad wouldn’t just make a call to the record labels for him, so he had to hustle and prove his talent in order to earn his record deals. Dean is also candid about how if there was a bad deal or move in the record business not to make, or just bad timing and luck, he lived it. I googled him after our show and Dean is a very talented singer songwriter, yet still honors his father’s legacy and memory by doing some heartfelt covers of his dad’s songs. I also suggest you google Dean Miller songs… Spending time with Dean is like Walkin in the Sunshine and by the end of the conversation, you feel like Old Friends. Ok, Dean, I’m sorry about all the corny uses of your dad’s songs in the show notes, but man, they just lend themselves to the great and fun time I had chatting with you! Dean, I can tell ya in This Big Town you’re a Super Star! https://deanmillerentertainment.com/ https://www.instagram.com/deanmillermusic/?hl=en https://www.facebook.com/deanmillerpage/

Alison Martino, Daughter of Al Martino

https://youtu.be/TmN4q9hiuMc After almost a year of phone tag and scheduling conflicts I was finally able to get Alison on the podcast. Well before making contact, I had been following a Facebook page “Vintage Los Angeles”. I was / am fascinated by the photos she and followers post. Once I figured out who Alison was and that it was her Facebook page I knew I really needed to have her on the podcast. Alison’s father, Al Martino was a famous traditional pop and standards singer and actor. Al was part of the last Hollywood crooners and played Johnny Fontane in the film The Godfather. Having lived in Los Angeles in the early 80s and then again from 1986 to 2005 I was more interested in Alison’s love for preserving the history of Los Angeles and sharing her hometown with the world then chatting about her father. We do chat about Al and what her life was like growing up with him. Although Alison and I never met while I lived in LA our paths of cool, unique and old Hollywood crossed on many levels. I had so much fun talking about and reminiscing about places no longer there or that are on the verge of disappearing from the landscape. She has a fantastic love for vintage style, architecture and history. Our conversation reminded me of Episode #5 with Ryan Cassidy, another lover of vintage style and a deep old Hollywood connection. If you are fascinated by vintage photos and the history of Los Angeles then you will enjoy hearing the passion and energy Alison puts into keeping LA special. https://www.facebook.com/VintageLosAngeles https://martinostimemachine.blogspot.com https://www.facebook.com/alisonmartino1970 https://www.instagram.com/alisonmartino https://www.vlamerch.com

Jack Baldini, Great-Great Nephew of Enrico Caruso

https://youtu.be/3GG9AY2v85g The question was asked when I was attending Podfest 2025, “What if you aren’t overshadowed by your famous relative?”. That brought up a great point. Now several of my guests have been in their own sunlight and Jack Baldini is certainly one of them. His Great-Great Uncle Enrico Caruso had passed away before Jack was born. Yet, Jack has this amazing connection to Enrico. Enrico Caruso is considered one of, if not, the greatest Opera singers of all time. He revolutionized the recording industry as one of the first to recognize the importance and financial opportunities of the vinyl record. Growing up Jack learned of his great-great uncle from family and became curious to learn more. He learned Caruso was known for his drawings as well as his operatic voice and now looks for original signed Caruso drawings. Jack talks about collecting his Great-Great Uncle’s art, records and memorabilia even though he himself is not a big Oprea fan. He is a patents, trademark, copyright lawyer in Florida and this after running a successful restaurant for over 20 years. Let’s talk Opera, food, podcasting and law with Jack Baldini.

Episode 47 – Lena Prima (Louis Prima – Daughter)

To many a generations Lena’s father is best known for the best song and scenes in the 1967 animated movie The Jungle Book. Yep, Lena Prima is the daughter of the amazing showman Louis Prima aka “King Louis”. I shared my story of David Lee Roth doing her father’s famous song “Just a Gigolo” and my mother setting me straight that DLR was not the original singer. Lena is a wonderful performer, recording artist and proud of her father’s legacy while carving her own fan base in the world of music. She did the Rock & Roll / Heavy Metal west coast scene for years, there’s some great photos in the notes, and toured full time with cover bands before finding a musical home in her father’s kingdom of New Orleans. So on your next trip to The Big Easy be sure to stop in and see Lena at The Hotel Montleone in the French Quarter. https://youtu.be/gSUXP-5-CuE https://www.lenaprima.com https://www.facebook.com/lenaprimaofficial https://www.instagram.com/lenaprima

https://youtu.be/6RW0WiOYr-U This is for all the NFL die hard history buffs and Dolphins fans. Bart Noonon’s father Karl Noonon was on the first Miami Dolphins team through the undefeated 1972 season. Bart has some great stories about his dad’s career and life after football. I met Bart in Charlotte, NC not long after we moved there in 2005. His son and our son were classmates from 1st grade through 12th and in Boy Scouts together. We shared some fun camping trips together and a lot of pork smoke cooking for the “Troop 355 best BBQ in the Galaxy “ fundraisers. Bart was in a dark place for many of the first several years of our friendship. We discuss our drug addiction past and his path out of those days and into the light of God. His faith has taken him from Hell, as we addicts know it, to a life of serving with a ministry for underprivileged kids. Sobriety has also given him a family life that many would wish for. Football, addiction, God, giving back, a father’s love… These are just a few of the topics we chat about in this episode. https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100070679910582 https://westblvdministry.org/

Episode 45 – Tess Frizzell (Shelly West – Daughter)

https://youtu.be/_4CurItY1r0 I had so much fun talking with Tess Frizzell and learning about life on the road and getting to record a song with her mother Shelly West. I had the pleasure of meeting her mom back in the early 80s when I was a DJ / Bartender / Contest MC at Cowboy’s Nightlife in North Myrtle Beach, SC. She even signed a copy of her “Red Hot” LP for me. I still have it and shared a photo with Tess. Now Shelly West is not Tess’s only famous relative, oh no, her family tree is a Country Music forest. Her Grandmother Dottie West is a Country Music Hall of Fame Grammy winner. Dottie was the first female country artist to win a Grammy. Let’s not forget the Frizell side of her family. Her dad is Allen Frizzell youngest brother to, and making her Uncles, singing sensation David Frizzell and Country Music Legend, Lefty Frizzell. Lefty is from Corsicana, TX where my wife was born and raised. There is even a statue and museum of Lefty there. We make sure to stop by when we go see family in Corsicana. Tess grew up on the road with a list of Who’s Who in the country music world. From sneaking onto Willie Nelson’s bus as a very young girl, to being held by Grand Ole Opry stars like Minnie Pearl as baby, too Super Stars babysitting while mom was on stage performing. She is also a very talented singer and songwriter in her own right. During our conversation I learned Tess is an accomplished portrait artist and painter. Her portraits have been commissioned by families of US Presidents and she has sold amazing portraits of Country Music’s biggest stars. See her website link below for details. I truly hope you enjoy Tess’s conversation as much as I did. https://www.tessfrizzell.net https://www.facebook.com/TessFrizzell https://www.tiktok.com/@tessfrizzell

Episode 44 – Cindy Cash ( Johnny Cash – Daughter)

https://youtu.be/8XuZOwqu–g Cindy Cash the third daughter of Johnny Cash and his first wife Vivian Liberto is our guest on this episode of Relatively Famous. Cindy chats about her life as a daddy’s girl and really getting to know her father when she started touring with him. She would spend her school months at their remote hilltop home in Casitas Springs, California and summer in Tennessee or on tour with her dad, June and their children. Cindy loved the hilltop home with it’s amazing 360 views and wildlife of rattlesnakes and coyotes, even if was a tough and lonely place to grow up. Following in her dad’s path Cindy loved to sing and would often join Johnny on stage. She even did a mini tour with Kathy Twitty and Peggy Lynn as “The Next Generation”. I’m not sure there is a greater love than the love Cindy has for her father Johnny. She has many memories and mementos our her fathers and she is sharing both with his fans. There was a recent auction and Cindy has plans for more. I so loved chatting with Cindy and do hope to visit with her next time I happen to be in Nashville. Cash is King and Cindy is a lovely princesses in the Royalty Country Music Cash Family. https://www.cindycash.com/https://www.imdb.com/name/nm1289456/https://www.instagram.com/johnnycash/?hl=enhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vivian_Cash

Episode 43 – Justin Lloyd (Jim Varney – Nephew)

https://youtu.be/7pSHi7Qz0vc “Hey Vern, check out my Nephew Justin is on Relatively Famous podcast”… The character of Ernest with his trademark “Hey Vern”, portrayed by actor Jim Varney was a national advertising phenomenon and loved comedy movie star. His films Ernest goes to camp and Ernest saves Christmas are still great family friendly movies in a world of violent action films. Justin Lloyd, is Jim’s nephew and remembers growing up with this really cool uncle who just happen to be famous. It was the 80s and Jim would pick up Justin in his Deloren for drives around town. Like what could have been a scene in the movie Back to the Future they would pull up to the gas station blaring classical music, open the two gullwing doors and Jim would exit the Deloren as if he were Doc Brown. Now there is a resurgence of “Ernest” commercials popping up and a renewed interest in Justin’s book “The Importance of Being Ernest: The Life of Actor Jim Varney”. There’s talks of a documentary and maybe even a bio pic. Justin has great respect and love for his Uncle Jim and enjoys talking about his life with him, his memories of Jim and possible new ventures highlighting Jim’s life and career. Funny thing is after we recorded our episode Justin found a New York Daily News article by Liz Smith from 1987 reporting that Jim had asked Vanna to be in his next film. I had a great time talking with Justin and hope you’ll get a kick out this episode. While Robbie followed his dad’s passion for motorcycle jumping, Kelly thrives in Evel’s other obsession, GOLF! Most days Kelly can be found on the course crushing drives and sinking 20 ft putts. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z18KIC2JzTQ&ab_channel=RelativelyFamous When it was suggested I reach out and book Wilson Fairchild, I assumed it was one person and maybe related to Morgan…. Noooo, Wilson Fairchild are Wil & Langdon Reid, the sons of Harold & Don Reid, two of the founding members of The Statler Brothers. I’m of the generation that is familiar with and knows some of their father’s music, but I did not know what to expect from Wilson Fairchild. Langdon invited me down to see them play at The Rockbox in Fredericksburg, TX a couple of weeks before we did the podcast. I assumed it would be a pretty serious music show featuring old country songs. MAN was I wrong… Going to see Wilson Fairchild is like watching Dean Martin & Jerry Lewis but with country and rock music. They are funny, super talented both instrumentally and vocally. They connect with the audience playing some of their fathers songs, their own originals and crushing cover tunes. Wilson Fairchild is the first duo we have had on the podcast and what great chemistry they have. Fun to chat with, different perspectives on the same life events and filled with personal stories of a grounded life while sharing the road with country superstars. Well to Wil & Langdon they weren’t superstars, they were just dad and the band. I’ll end on this, if Wilson Fairchild is playing in your area, do yourself a favor and go see them! https://wilsonfairchild.com/ https://thestatlerbrothers.com/

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9mDpGHodD0k&ab_channel=RelativelyFamous Matt Axton is not only a joy to chat with, he’s also the son of one of the smoothest voices in folk / rock / country music Mr. Hoyt Axton. He is also the grandson of the songwriter behind Elvis Presley’s first #1 hit “Heart Break Hotel”, “Queen Mother of Nashville”, Ms. Mae Boren Axton. I’ve always been a fan of his father’s music and acting, even when I didn’t realize it because of the songs Hoyt wrote for other artist. Think “Joy to the World – Three Dog Night and “The N No Song – Ringo Starr”. So when I saw Matt Axton come across my social media feeds I had to reach out. Matt responded quickly, with “heck yeah let’s do this”. Matt is a fulltime traveling musician with a voice as smooth and rich as his father. Like his dad he also has a wide variety of styles he performs while on the road. He is also a prolific songwriter and host the Tahoe Joy Festival in Tahoe, CA every year. During of conversation Matt coved so much about his musical journey, his family legacy and standing on his as a musician / songwriter while also honoring his father Hoyt and Hoyt’s fans that love his songs. Episode 37 – Linda Gail Lewis (Jerry Lee Lewis – Sister)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D1v9uMAL09w&ab_channel=RelativelyFamous Linda Gail is the younger sister of Rock & Roll Legend Jerry Lee Lewis. She is also a cousin to the late country music star Mickey Gilley and tv evangelist Jimmy Swaggart. That’s a whole lot of talent and fame from one family out of the little ole’ town of Ferriday, LA. Linda Gail now lives in Austin, TX and still performs locally and around the world. She started her career singing and playing with her brother Jerry Lee at age 14. Together they toured the world, wrote hit songs and cut records as a duet. She and Jerry Lee had a wonderful brother sister relationship that extended way beyond just performing together. This is evident in the song she wrote to her brother after his death and the video for “I Knew That You Were Leaving”. A friend of mine happen to catch Linda Gail playing at the famed Gruene Hall in Gruene, TX one Saturday. He told her of the podcast, got her number and the next thing know she’s an amazing guest on Relatively Famous. She even forgave me when I made a very bad faux pas about Jerry Lee. Thank you Linda Gail! Because she toured with Jerry, Linda Gail has met some of music’s biggest stars including Elvis Presley and developed a friendship with Tom Jones that she still fondly cherishes to this day. https://www.lglmusic.com/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bEu437j_-is https://www.instagram.com/officiallindagaillewis/?hl=en https://open.spotify.com/artist/4Bj9FwLkEXYhZRgskLhvDX

Episode 36 – Leland Chapman (Dog the Bounty Hunter – Son)

Leland Chapman was introduced to Relatively Famous through Kimber Eastwood Midkiff (SO1 Ep21 of Relatively Famous) daughter of Clint Eastwood. Guess you could say there’s Bounty Hunter theme there, Clint “A Few Dollars More” – “Joe Kidd” and Leland “Dog the Bounty Hunter”. OK, so that was only funny to me… Leland is the son of legendary bounty hunter and reality tv star Duane Chapman aka Dog the Bounty Hunter. Leland began working with his dad in the bounty hunting business at the very young age of 7 or 8. Leland would knock on the door pretending he was the paperboy, kind of like bait for the wanted person to open the door. As a teenager Leland was on the path that leads to time behind bars or six feet under when his family moved to Hawaii and his life changed forever. The beauty and peace of Hawaii gave Leland time to reflect on his choices, and set him on a career path he loves with a passion. Staring on “Dog The Bounty Hunter” with his father sent his life into a whole new direction. Fame and recognition which as a bounty hunter is not always what you need. Leland talks about how tv fame has changed his bounty hunting style and how it has also helped. Today Leland runs his own Bail Bonding company and bounty hunts out of Alabama. His goal is to have his own show produced by Kimber Eastwood, help others change their life path and leave the world a better place. https://www.instagram.com/lelandbchapman/?hl=enhttps://x.com/lelandbchapman?lang=en https://www.instagram.com/lelandbchapman/?hl=enhttps://x.com/lelandbchapman?lang=en https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iFYR-0W0LJk&ab_channel=RelativelyFamous

I was introduced to Craig Colquitt through Phil Carson, whom I met at Podcast Multimedia Expo (a must for podcasters). Craig is the father of Britton and Dustin Colquitt and part of the University of Tennessee Football punting dynasty. My friend and UT alumni Mikie Gause was thrilled when I told her Craig was going to be a guest. Her quote “you can always count on a Colquitt”. The Colquitt’s are a punting phenomenon, Craig, Dustin and Britton all punted for U of Tenn and all three are NFL Superbowl winners as punters. Craig won two Superbowl rings with the Pittsburgh Steelers (1979 & 80) while Dustin won with the Kansas City Chefs (2020) and Britton won his ring with the Denver Broncos (2016). Craig is an amazing father, artist and has some amazing football and life stories he shares on this episode. From playing with Terry Bradshaw to watching his sons develop from soccer players into NFL punters. I can say I truly learned a lot about punting and thoroughly enjoyed my conversation with Craig. I think you will also. Oh and it seems the Colquitt punting dynasty may continue as Dustin’s son are already making a new mark on the football field. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QARgCOQeCI8&feature=youtu.be

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=syDe5UcHMgE&ab_channel=RelativelyFamous #Batman fans of all ages owe this episode’s guest a listen and a share. Athena Finger is the granddaughter of Bill Finger, the co-creator of the Batman comics with Bob Kane, although Athena and her father had to fight for many many years to make sure Bill received credit. She was introduced to me through Bill Field from Episode #1 of this podcast. Athena is an artist, a teacher and spends much of her time keeping her grandfather Bill’s legacy alive. She travels to comic conventions meeting fans of Bill’s work, shares stories of the battle to get him and other comic book writers and artist the credit they deserve. She is also campaigning to get Bill a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Whether Batman, Green Lantern, Joker, Catwoman, Alfred or Mirror Man is your favorite character you’ll love learning about Athena and her love of her grandfather’s work, and being bold as an artist with her own style.

Episode 33 – Gabriel Cannon (Nick Cannon – Brother)

While researching potential guests I ran across a post on Nick Cannon’s brother Gabriel Cannon winning the TV show Claim to Fame. Having worked with Nick early in his career on the Nickelodeon show Snick House. I knew I had to ask Gabriel if he would be a guest on my podcast. During our interview I discovered Gabriel is an amazing young man who has stood in the Hollywood limelight with his brother, toured with Mariah Carey, has music in his blood and knows the value of giving back in-order to live a fulfilled life. He stepped away from the Hollywood hustle, went to Bible college, now mentors some of societies most troubled youth and has plans for a youth camp to help these kids who went down or are on the wrong path. I promise you Gabriel’s enthusiasm for life will lift your day and make you ask yourself, what can I do to help America’s lost kids? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=geETqtnHGaQ&ab_channel=RelativelyFamous

Episode 32 – Scott Cooper (Leonard Nimoy – Cousin)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KeqkR_oJa7w&ab_channel=RelativelyFamous Scott Cooper is not only Spock’s cousin, he is an amazing and successful artist who spent years hiding the family claim to fame. What tales Scott has of growing up a poor white art student in a tough black – Puerto Rican neighborhood of NYC. His childhood was literally where the film Warriors was based on. Scott moved to Los Angeles to ply his craft on the cartoon He-Man only to arrive in LA and discover there was no job waiting. All the animation had moved to Korea. He is a master at adapting, learning and teaching new technology in the art world, think photoshop and 3D printing before photoshop was a household word and 3D printers were east to access. Scott also spend those Hollywood years rubbing elbows with his Rock & Roll heroes where his wife ran a well know rehearsal studio. His art hangs in homes and galleries around the world. We were lucky to have Scott in the Nelco Comics podcast studio to share his story before he moved to Vietnam where he’ll teach art and technology to rising Vietnamese art students. He also had one of the premiere Star Trek memorabilia collections. In this episode Scott will fill you in on his Trekkie journey and how he just can’t escape the Nimoy legacy. https://www.behance.net/Inknstein

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mI00P4mOAwU&ab_channel=RelativelyFamous In this episode I talk with a fellow South Carolinian, Marvin King, the father of Grammy nominated guitarist and singer, Marcus King. Marvin resides in the beautiful city of Greenville, SC and is also a musician, as was his father. Marvin is proud to see his son Marcus carry on a family tradition. Even playing his grandfather’s rare “Big Red” Gibson guitar. Marcus has really exploded on the rock, country and blues scene over the last couple of years. He nominated for a Grammy and tours the world doing both acoustic and electric shows and has played with a who’s who in the rock, blues and country music scene. Marcus gave his father Marvin a chance to meet his guitar hero Eric Clapton, has sat in on recordings with his dad and is loving and humble brother to Holland and son to Marvin. This is a fantastic music loving episode, a chance to hear a father’s advice to his son, feel the joy of a father standing in his son’s shadow and even a little of the deadly side of living the Rock & Roll lifestyle. https://www.amazon.com/Huge-Europe-feat-Marcus-King/dp/B07L54J98Dhttps://www.facebook.com/kingrevuehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y0UBUoMuEyYhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_XdxV19oRpchttps://www.instagram.com/realmarcusking/?hl=enhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CRpOqZqlHRYhttps://www.marcuskingofficial.com/https://www.instagram.com/marvinleeking/

Episode 29 – Jennifer Dornetta (Jimmy McGuire – Sister)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=030k3XLajpM&ab_channel=RelativelyFamous Answer: Jennifer Dornetta – Question: Who is Jimmy McGuire’s sister…Answer; Jennifer Dornetta…. On this episode of Relatively Famous I hark back to my days of producing Jeopardy! Clue Crew segments. Jimmy McGuire was one of the original Clue Crew members and remained a world traveling member of the Jeopardy! Clue Crew for 21 seasons. He may not be a household name or face, BUT to 25 million Jeopardy! viewers he’s super famous. When I saw Jimmy wish his sister Jennifer a Happy Birthday on Facebook I knew I had to ask her to be a guest. Jimmy said she’s shy and may say no. Well, she’s lived in the shadow of an overprotective (their words not mine) big brother, from toddlers, high school and into adulthood, but he’s always been there for her. Oh yeah, she wasn’t allowed to date his friends. Their love for each other is unconditional. Jennifer loves her hometown of #Pittsburgh, being a mom and her career as a nail tech. Meet a very nervous, funny and loving Jennifer Dornetta. https://www.jeopardy.com/jbuzz/tagged/clue-crew

Here I have the honor of interviewing the granddaughter and daughter of renowned Master Illusionist Harry Blackstone and Harry Blackstone Jr, Bellamie Blackstone. She is not only an amazing TV Producer, she’s also the Producer of Wheel of Fortune. Her grandfather Harry was known to rival Houdini and her father Harry Jr was not only a master of stage illusion he was known for guest starring on primetime tv shows like Hart to Hart. This episode is pure magic, pun intended… https://www.emmys.com/bios/bellamie-blackstone
