After a brilliant techno release the guys at Annunaki came together with a completely fresh take on a late summer jumper, titled Jump Up. AiDoll delivers the EP’s head tune, masterfully swapping his usual techno style to a rolling drum’n’bass with an ambient and cleverly set-up introduction that fuses filtered blips, piano stabs and key rolls. Hooked in indeed you quickly step into the breakdown with dub alike use of reggae voices, mixing in another genre tactfully. The bridge crosses to oriental synth roll and ends the tune in uppity fashion. Yet the party doesn’t stop here, when another resident artist paired with his other half in the form of DubDiggerz (Greenx & Wild), showcase a much darker version crossing over to dubstep territory. The basslines are low, the anticipation high and FX fly all over the place while eerie arps, pads & swift snares smack 360⁰ of the sound stage. Welcome to the proper flip side. A new artist RootsInSession brings it back to d’n’b waters, carrying a remix spliced with trademark tape delays, great use of horn(y) main hook, complementing vox reverb and processed original speech. Pitched down bass notes, gritty distortion and overall jumpy vibe. After the brake track shuffles to jungle vibe to the tune rounds up the record and leaves up to its name nicely.

We couldn’t be more excited about the two remixing artists either, since we’re welcoming Slovenia’s most legendary DJ & producer Valentino Kanzyani, expanding his world-renowned discography yet again. On the flip side, our very own inhouse artist Daniel Greenx brings his unique flavour to the (turn)table. As the original kicks in, you can feel that vintage warm vibe from the get-go as the massive analogue arpeggio ushers in several synths, filtered horns, pads and smartly processed speech from notorious Gloria Steinem, conveying a transcended message. Tightly packing all sonic elements into a head nodding, feet stomping, feel-good tune you deeply missed in days passed. Valentino Kanzyani peels of even deeper layers and brings us an oldschool style electro version of the title track, reinventing himself once again. Afekt Music flavored his remix with more melodic techno/house club sound! NØK1dz is an electronic duo, formed in 2019 by two talented and versatile artists from Slovenia. Just after a few meetings at the Annunaki studio (based in Ljubljana), they soon realised how their different knowledge and experiences perfectly match. DollOres and Ai.Ron have developed a very unique music language, regarding to the various music styles, such as: house, drum'n'bass, techno, progressive electronic music, synthwave etc., enriched with some soft rock, dreamy pop, ambiental and even classical music. The tune is melodic and synthetic, produced with analogue and digital equipment, which we will soon be able to hear and see during their live performances. According to variety of styles, they decided for multiple music projects, but the foremost among them are »NØK1dz«, which contains more of a vocal electronic music, and »AiDoll« which has more elements of club music. These two exclusive artists are also authors of the lyrics, melodies, animations, videos, artworks and covers, related to their music. For the very first time NØK1dz represents its first summer release, full of rich melodies, striking effects, sonorous basses and fine rhytms, which reminds us of '90s music. Release includes original electro/pop mix with vocals, dub mix and remixes from the two local artists.
