Resistance Radio 5/28/26; Treaties are NOT the supreme law of the land!
According to the "Handbook on Federal Indian Law", Native people came under US authority by force and by treaty. They would have been more honest if it had said by force and by fraud!

Another holiday weekend to celebrate and romanticize war! Why?
The vast majority of US holidays are some celebration of war. Memorial Day is just one of many. But it kicks off the Summer season and revs us up for the 250th celebration of the United States' first war; the war for independence! But still no justice for all and still no "all men are created equal."

Does giving something a label or name make it real? And does that thing become the label or name?
I am not an "Indian" and I am not a "member" of a "tribe." Not my words and not my identity!

Well Earth Day happened. Let me talk about how we're doing. Oh! and the 4th of July is just around the corner.
We continue to wreak havoc on the planet as we pretend 250 years of this behavior is something to celebrate.
-
93
The DNA lie! And country music is full of songs about white folks clinging to land. We tried that too.
DNA cannot determine ethnicity, origin stories or nationality. and why is it romantic for country singers to sing about refusing to sell land to developers. THAT was one of the reasons the US claimed for taking our lands.
-

Nothing in the 14th Amendment mentions "domiciliation" or allegiance but it still entered the SCOTUS debate!
Allegiance is literally in the definition of "citizen." But left out of the processes in the 14th Amendment, the takeover of Hawaii and the Indian Citizenship Act! I try once again to explain why more should be outraged over Native people being cast as a subclass of human existence in the US. That is exactly what "ward" status is!
-
91
So let's talk about birthright citizenship! It's not complicated but it may not be what you think.
Native People were NOT made citizens under the Constitution!
-
90
Are you free? What is freedom? David Harmony is my guest.
Being a "citizen" is about having an allegiance to a government in exchange for protections. Freedom is not in the definition of citizenship.
-

In spite the claims by the Trump administration, the US Commission on Civil Rights has condemned the use of Native mascots!
the USCCR has pushed to ban Native mascots for going on three decades!
-
88
The Black, Native and Hawaiian experiences with the U.S. has been similar but still very distinct.
All three of us have had U.S. citizenship imposed upon us!

Every "Indian Boarding School" was an Epstein Island!
The entire Me Too movement, every clergy sex abuse claim and everyone in the Epstein files can't come close to the number of children abused in 150 years of "Indian Boarding Schools!"
-

Kudos to the Seneca people for taking charge and action against the abuse of authority
The Seneca people organized, researched and educated each other to rise up and oppose the policing agreement that their "leaders" entered into. They forced the Seneca Nation to rescind the agreement!
-
83
Don't Blame Us! Your Constitution is NOT based on ours!
Some have suggested that our Kaianerehkowa (Great Law of Peace) was the foundation and basis for the US Constitution. Well, I'm here to say NOT EVEN CLOSE! Our ways rejected hierarchies! Yours created them based purely on being a rich white man. Ooh! What a coincidence! That's EXACTLY what you have now! Don't blame us! You didn't listen!

The Two Row Wampum is weighing heavily on my mind.
As Native communities struggle with their autonomy, the symbol of the Haudenosaunee autonomy is the Two Row. But many of our communities struggle to stay on our path.
-
81
The Trump Administration weighing in on school mascots is NOT just a distraction
Trump and his ED Secretary don't really care if these mascots stay or go. Their presence here on this issue is strictly performative. This is about political alignment. It's about the base! It's about votes, congress, campaign contributions; it's about securing footholds at the school and community levels.
-

David Harmony is my guest as we discuss the failures of historical reckoning.
From a holy book covered in human flesh to both the North and the South engaged in the American Holocaust, the US and Americans refuse to own their true history.
-
79
My friend, partner and co-producer Ross John joins me in studio!
Ross was the co-producer and he funded the production of THE LONG HOPE, our full length documentary. We discuss the film and its growing relevance in these trying times.

Wow! THIS is the New Year? Is America Great Yet?
We are literally only one week into the New Year and the news cycle is INSANE. Trump hasn't even logged in a full year yet!
-
77
It's the New Year! Let's make it new!
My emphasis in 2026 will be regarding Native identity; defending it, promoting it, defining it and protecting it.

I can't believe i have to explain who and what Archie Bunker was!
If you take a racist bigot who abuses his wife, is angry and feels like his white privilege is under constant assault and make him rich and evil, you just turned Archie Bunker into Donald Trump. The trouble is that MANY Americans are fine with that.
-
73
As we look back, let's not romanticize military violence; not Pearl Harbor, Hiroshima/Nagasaki or the violence against Venezuela.
We live in troubling times but much of it is history repeating itself. There is NOTHING happening now that hasn't been going on for a very long time. We must remember that.
-
72
Four shows left for 2025! So let's go out strong by supporting the program and the stations carrying it.
2025 has proven to be an incredible year by almost any measure. 2026 may be an even bigger run off the cliff or a tipping point. This show is more important than ever in the world we are now living in.

We need to have the courage to reject being held as a subclass of human beings. We are NOT wards of the US government!
The effort to dismantle the illegal doctrines of the US legal and legislative system is quite simply about rejecting being singled out simply for being Native people and cast as wards of the government. We are NOT incompetent! We are NOT inferior! We will NOT beheld in some twisted state of perpetual political and legal purgatory! But some are scared of taking such a bold stance. Some believe the current status somehow protects us. This isn't protection! It's a protection racket designed to oppress us.

Peter d'Errico author of FEDERAL ANTI-INDIAN LAW joins me to discuss recent challenges to the Plenary Powers Doctrine
Sam Alito has questioned this power and now Thomas and Gorsuch are challenging its constitutionality and general legality. To be clear the UN has called doctrines, policies and practices like this, racist, scientifically false, legally invalid, morally condemnable and socially unjust. So where are Kagan, Jackson and Sotomayor?

The Canandaigua Treaty Day: Why I am not a fan!
Last Tuesday was the 231st anniversary of the Canandaigua Treaty! Why celebrate broken promises. And don't get me started on the Washington belt.

The Long Hope and why you need to see it.
The Long Hope is our film that we are in the early stages of rolling out. I talk about why we made the film ans why we hope people will watch it.
-
66
No Kings, huh? Well, you sure don't need king for tyranical and authoritarian rule. Ain't that right, US?
The US has been more tyrannical and authoritarian than the king they revolted from Day 1 to the present. Trump or no Trump!

Lots of radio this week with Indigenous Peoples Day and a trip out to speak at Hofstra University. We'll cover it all!
Almost twenty hours of Amtrak and the LIRR to get out to Hofstra and back but it was all worth it!
-
64
A Special Indigenous Peoples Day Broadcast BUT definiately NOT a celebration!
WPFW in Washington DC was kind enough to offer me a two-hour slot not only for Indigenous Peoples Day but to kick off their Fall Fund Drive. Call 800-222-9739 or go on-line to www.wpfwfm.org to donate!
-
63
As we head into Indigenous Peoples Day Weekend let's bust some of those myths you grew up with!
Conquest, wards of the government, free checks, free college... yeah! Let's debunk some of this crap!
-
62
Orange Shirt Day! Indigenous People's Day! Our Special Month of November! What are we celebrating?
These special days and acknowledgements miss the mark. They blur what should be our message. We know what you did and we are fighting to make it right!
-
61
Jackson, Kagan, Sotomayor and Ginsberg before them all voted with the right against Native autonomy, CONSISTENTLY!
Only Sam Alito and Clarence Thomas have questioned the Trust Doctrine and Plenary Powers Doctrine. They all call themselves "justices", so where is the justice and where are Jackson, Kagan and Sotomayor?
-
60
The Long Hope is a film about the uniquely racist legal doctrines still in use and effect today.
The Doctrine of Christian Discovery was literally cited in a federal court ruling less than four weeks ago!
-

Tiana Morano joins me directly from the Connetquot School District

By Request: The Kinzua Dam! Drowning the Seneca!
I the early 60s while Kennedy and Nixon were locked in a tight race for the White House, both needed Pennsylvania badly. So both viewed the Senecas as a sacrifice they were willing to make. As a result, ten thousand acres of Seneca land were condemned to a flood plain by a dam constructed to solve flooding problems for Pittsburgh.
-
56
Why "resistance" is necessary!
We must reject the narratives we have been spoon fed. The answer to the cognitive dissonance we have been forced to live with is changing our behavior and rejecting what has been drilled into our heads for generations.

Hey DC! this is what resisting a military invasion of your community looks like.
Trump has taken over DC with the military. 35 years ago Canada tried that on my hometown.
-
53
Federally recognized Native leadership is the worst! Between the corruption and generally selling out of their people, it doesn't get worse than this.
From Dick Wilson and his FBI backed GOON Squad to land claims and bad gaming compacts, we see more and more that real change comes from the people.
-
52
I have to once again address the unique racism that Native people experience.
The mascot issue is easy to point to in this regard. The fact is that many believe they own us and our images, and they have every right to mock or portray us as their mascots. But it doesn't end there.
-
51
So the commander hates the Commanders and the guardians hate the Guardians! Go figure!
Trump is trying to force the Washington NFL team to restore its previous racial slur of a name and is threatening to kill their stadium deal if they don't.
