Pastor Ron Oliver 2016 02 17 SMThe Revelation of Jesus ChristAn introduction before starting the series on the Revelations of Jesus Christ.Luke 21:28 The time is near. 1 Cor 1:30Heb 10:7  the volume of the book means the whole book. There was none that could open the book of redemption. Ps 24:1-2 The earth is the Lord’s also, because He purchased it. Seven is the number of perfection. Romans 2:5  But by your callous stubbornness and impenitence of heart you are storing up wrath and indignation for yourself on the day of wrath and indignation, when God’s righteous judgment (just doom) will be revealed.1 Thes 5:9-10  9 For God has not appointed us to [incur His] wrath [He did not select us to condemn us], but [that we might] obtain [His] salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah)10 Who died for us so that whether we are still alive or are dead [at Christ’s appearing], we might live together with Him and share His life. Luke 17:26-27 Noah was spared the wrath of God.  Enoch was taken from the earth before the flood Jude 1:14-15 The saints that were take up will be coming back. Enoch represents the Church that will be raptured..Moses represents Israel that will be preserved through the tribulation. Jeremiah 30:7  Jacob’s trouble. Romans 8:22-23 22 We know that the whole creation [of irrational creatures] has been moaning together in the pains of labor until now.23 And not only the creation, but we ourselves too, who have and enjoy the firstfruits of the [Holy] Spirit [a foretaste of the blissful things to come] groan inwardly as we wait for the redemption of our bodies [from sensuality and the grave, which will reveal] our adoption (our manifestation as God’s sons).Philippians 3:20-21 20 But we are citizens of the state (commonwealth, homeland) which is in heaven, and from it also weearnestly and patiently await [the coming of] the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) [as] Savior,21 Who willtransform and fashion anew the body of our humiliation to conform to and be like the body of His glory and majesty, by exerting that power which enables Him even to subject everything to Himself.1 Cor 15:51-541 Thes 4:16-17 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.John 5:24  Our reconciliation is coming Gen 19:22 I have to get you out of here before the wrath can be poured out. Romans 2:6-9  Tribulation will be for the contentious. Romans 5:8-10  We shall be save from wrath. 1 Peter 1:5  the rapture of the Church is not the last time. Col 3:1-4  we shall appear with Christ after rapture, tribulationRemember, when we see these things, look up!Rev 19:11-21 What it will be like when Jesus finally comes.
