Roam Light
by Amelie Chambord
Roam Light is a travel podcast about stories, lessons, people and unexpected moments we collect along the way. From my first solo light at 17 to military travel, studying abroad, backpacking through Europe, exploring Asia, and everything that went wonderfully right or hilariously wrong in between, I share real travel stories and what they taught me. We'll talk about packing light, planning itineraries, traveling on a budget, navigating unfamiliar places, meeting people across cultures, changing plans when necessary, and learning from the occasional travel disaster. Travel isn't where you go. Sometimes the best souvenirs are the stories you bring home, the friendships you make, and the lessons you never expected to learn. Pack what you need. Leave room for the unexpected. Roam light.

Episode 3 - Barcelona Made Me Ditch My Suitcase
In 2003, I left Paris with a three-week European itinerary, a very heavy suitcase, and absolutely no idea how much I was going to regret that suitcase. By the time my friend and I arrived in Barcelona, I was dragging it through the summer heat, trying to find our hostel without Google Maps…
