Rob Flow - Andrej Tribute Mix - Burning Man 2025
The Bus came to the burning Dice and honored Andrej through some of the music he loved. To prepare for the set, Rob was given a playlist Andrej’s friends had put together: 236 songs they knew he loved, along with songs that reminded them of him. Rob listened to every one. Some he knew, some he didn’t. He spoke with Andrej’s friends about who he was, studied photographs of him, and immersed himself in the music to try to understand Andrej as deeply as he could given the circumstances. From there, Rob built the set through his own musical lens, finding connections across genres and creating edits inspired by the project, including a Black Sabbath edit he made for Burning Man and a “Panama” edit he created in the studio specifically for Andrej’s tribute. “Burning Man was surreal, rough, taxing, liberating, and exhilarating. The juxtaposition of feeling like part of one enormous family while living by the principle of Radical Self-reliance was fascinating—and deeply metaphorical. I felt like I had lived through something. We all did our best to bob and weave through the challenges and celebrate the hard-earned victories. Being trusted to honor Andrej through music at the effigy ritual on the Robot Heart bus was one of the most meaningful parts of the experience. I came out of Burning Man changed: tougher, lovey-er, and with even more sparks in my creative fire.” - Rob Tracks: 1. Panama (Rob Flow edit) - Van Halen 2. Jailbreak (Rob Flow edit) - Thin Lizzy 3. Me And The Boys - NRBQ 4. Mother - Danzig 5. Paranoid (Rob Flow edit) - Black Sabbath 6. Breakin’ The Law - Judas Priest 7. Shout At The Devil - Motley Crüe 8. Cheap Sunglasses - ZZ Top 9. Bob Moses (Club Set) - Robot Heart - Burning Man 2025
Bob Moses on the Bus, Burning Man 2025 is now live on SoundCloud. Bob Moses first joined us on the playa in 2013, returned in 2017, and found their way back to the Heart in 2025 as part of a sunset journey honoring Sasha Shulgin. This time, they brought their Club Set, a more improvisational format blending their own music with tracks from artists they love, shaped in the moment by the dance floor. Sasha’s curiosity, courage and chemistry opened pathways of healing, connection and exploration that continue to ripple through music, art and community. Twelve years after their first set with us, it was special to have Bob Moses back on the Heart for this one. Hope you enjoyed the YouTube video. Both SoundCloud and YouTube links are in our bio. ❤️🤖 TRACK LIST 1. Bob Moses - On My Mind 2. Bob Moses - All I Want 3. Hot Lap - Show Me 4. Bob Moses - The Blame (Helsloot Remix) 5. Nico Stojan - Robot Heart - Burning Man 2025
Nico’s set from the journey to the Man, and as the Man began to burn. To accompany it, we asked his dear friend Gordon to share a memory that captures the spirit of who Nico was, and why Burning Man meant so much to him. We hope you’ll take a few moments to read Gordon’s words, then press play. In Gordon’s words: Kamikaze Copilot Forest fires choked the West, and the air was so thick with smoke that most people wouldn’t have stepped outside for an hour, let alone volunteered to live in it for more than a week. But there we were. Burning Man was officially canceled, but the Renegade Burn was on: unforgiving, radically self-reliant, and we were all in. It wasn’t Nico’s first Burn, but coming from Europe made the self-reliance harder. I’d taken our dear friend Phillip Forever Jung to his first Burn in 2012, so Nico knew he was in good hands. We were seasoned enough to believe we could handle almost anything. We had a truck, our fully loaded trailer, the Prowler. We were all in. There was no turning back. We drove onto the playa at night, which wasn’t the plan and is never ideal, but there we were, and almost immediately got pulled over by a police K-9 unit. The officer asked me to step out because my tags appeared expired. I calmly and eloquently navigated a moment steeped in gravity, at the very brink of consequence. Nico, meanwhile, noticed the dog being held inside the police car. “Oh, canine!” he said to the officer, delighted. “What kind of dog is it?” Coming from Europe, Nico had no idea what “K-9” printed on a police car really meant, or that his innocent question might prompt the officer to bring the dog out. And somehow, we emerged unscathed. Nico looked at the same scene and found something delightful. That was Nico. The smoke pressed down on the desert. Heat, dust, and exhaustion slowly battered us. Then the air-conditioning in the Prowler died. But we had our overkill-level air purifier, and we handled it. Nico never surrendered to misery. He filled the generator, helped keep our strange little desert vessel alive, and turned adversity into part of the adventure. That was Nico’s beautiful contradiction: somehow both tender and resilient, a delicate flower with roots strong enough to endure the harshest ground. He had one of the most refined sensibilities of anyone I have ever known. He pursued the finest expression of even the smallest things: exceptional food, beautiful music, remarkable people, thoughtful fashion, the highest-quality supplements, and better ways to care for himself and everyone around him. He understood that life is shaped by thousands of small choices, and he approached each one as though it mattered, because to him, it did. Some nights, we celebrated birthdays with friends over steak, lobster, and extraordinary wine. Other nights, we opened sardines and mussels inside the Prowler. Nico treated both occasions with equal care. In his hands, a tin of “fishees” became an event. He approached music the same way. Thousands of performances had not made him careless. He meticulously prepared inside the Prowler before DJing. Every set still mattered. After seven days, the smoke, heat, dust, and exhaustion had thoroughly beaten us up. Nico wrote on the wall of the Prowler: “Kamikaze Co-pilot.” Two words that captured the whole experience and something essential about Nico. He was a co-pilot to so many of us and was in it with all of us: laughing through the turbulence, refusing to abandon the adventure, and bringing his artistry, curiosity, and care to everyone lucky enough to share in his life That was why Burning Man made sense to Nico. The finest things in life—friendships, food, music, love, family, unforgettable nights—may sometimes find us by chance, but they do not flourish on their own. They must be noticed, cultivated, and sometimes wrestled from chaos. Nico never waited for the good time. He created it My kamikaze co-pilot. That is how I will always remember him.

Kotoe - Robot Heart - Burning Man 2025
The night began with a little chaos. After weather delays and hours spent putting the final touches on our new sound system, the first notes finally rang out across the playa. As the sun prepared to rise after the rain, Kotoe became the first artist to take us on that journey. Here’s what that moment felt like through her eyes: "Feeling the first sun rays after an intense rain in the desert from the RH bus on their brand new system, combined with it being my first time ever playing on the Heart, was an explosion of emotions and a huge honor. I chose to start with Tokyo’s Subway, as it was the city where I was born, and played a lot of sounds close to my heart from one of my homes, Brazil. Groovy basslines, percussion, and emotions are the words I would use to describe this journey. Thank you, RH, for your trust, and my boys Michi and Nacho for being the biggest support I could wish for. I hope you enjoy the ride as much as I did!" - Kotoe IG: https://www.instagram.com/kotoekk SA: https://soundcloud.com/kotoekk RA: https://ra.co/dj/kotoe

Shaun Reeves B2B m.O.N.R.O.E. - Robot Heart - Burning Man 2025
Deep into our Tuesday morning opening party, we celebrated all the things while The Bus spoke in its new voice. Shaun Reeves b2b m.O.N.R.O.E. on the decks as the new subs came fully alive 🌞♥️ “There are certain mornings at Burning Man that stay with you long after the dust settles. I’ve played Robot Heart before, but this was my first time back on the bus in a few years and my first time playing there together with m.O.N.R.O.E.. We played the slot after sunrise, following a long stretch of rain that had paused the city for a moment, right as the desert finally began opening back up again. By that point in the morning, everybody felt fully present again. The energy after the rain felt different. A little more emotional. A little more connected. We settled into the moment and let the set go where it wanted to go. This recording is a snapshot of that morning.“ -Shaun @shaun.reeves @m.o.n.r.o.e._music https://linktr.ee/shaunreeves https://linktr.ee/monroe_music Set cover photo: Rony Desir https://www.instagram.com/rony_desir @burningman

Deep Dish - Robot Heart - Burning Man 2025
We’re excited to share @deepdish ’s set, closing out a beautiful Saturday morning as the energy from sunrise stretched deep into the late morning hours. “Our debut for the legendary Robot Heart at Burning Man in August 2025 marked a deeply personal milestone for us as Deep Dish. It was the first time we experienced Black Rock City together, and we played into the late morning hours; when the night has dissolved, but the energy is still fully alive. Surrounded by the open desert and a community locked into the moment, the set took on a life of its own. It became less about time or structure, and more about flow; letting the music stretch, evolve, and respond to the environment. This recording captures that space, somewhere beyond sunrise in deep playa, where everything feels suspended and open-ended.” -Deep Dish https://deepdish.komi.io @burningman 2025 Listen to on YT: we had to update audio - new file here: https://youtu.be/IUnoKNUcUXU Set cover photo by: João von Hafe Pérez https://www.instagram.com/jvhperez

Jake the Rapper - Robot Heart - Burning Man 2025
In the dark hours of Saturday morning into dawn, Jake held the bus and guided us through one of those moments you don’t forget. After the burn, he went in for knee surgery and has since faced serious complications, multiple operations, and a long road to recovery. We’re sharing his set in honor of that morning, and his GoFundMe for anyone who feels called to support. We love you Jake! Link to GoFundMe ❤️🩹🙏 https://www.gofundme.com/f/time-to-heal-space-to-create-support-jakes-next-chapter Poem from Jake: Remember that night that led to the dawn in the dust on the bus Though We love the man, in the heart of the robot we trust Moving in time as we feel it, regardless of class Aligned with the spirit of effortless dance Free of stress - in body, mind and Ass Lets relive the moments that passed “I had the honor of playing and camping with Robot Heart on my second Burn in eight years. I got to meet so many amazing, creative, productive dreamers and doers on the team. Then it was my turn to play. I got on the bus, climbed up to the decks and we drove out on the Playa, ready for whatever was in store for us, this Burn having shown everyone just what is possible in terms of unexpected surprises. I was surprisingly not my usual nervous wreck before playing. I was calm and like I said, ready for anything, good or bad. It seems like life is the most fun when you have no expectations. I started out smooth and slow as the bike lights of passersby started to collect underneath. After 15 minutes, I played a track for everyone on the bus with a vocal about work, “I don’t want to see any fake-ass workers, I mean real workers. Work it!” Because even though I was unable to put in a lot of physical work that year with my knee situation, the effort, ingenuity and love of the process I witnessed at the Robot Heart camp left a lasting impression on me, and I wanted to say “I see you!” musically. Then other people started coming on the bus. More and more people. It got full, it started to get crazy. People started climbing up the heart, around the decks, everywhere. Everyone was dancing and it felt amazing to be able to play the music to keep the vibe going, and bring in some surprises as well. The sky started getting lighter, and the fairy lights below became extravagant figures dancing in the dust, way more of them now than before. Looking out on the crowd, and then on to other crowds and other buses, the Temple, each thing a bit more faded and etherial in dust in the dawn, the expanse of it was breathtaking. It was so hauntingly beautiful, like being in another world entirely. A peaceful, timeless, and groovy AF world. And then just when I thought it couldn’t get any more packed, Lee Burridge came and took over and it all went so wild, I decided to get off the bus and dance from there. That’s when I got to be in front of that big row of speakers. What a sound! What a dance I had. What a day. The rest of the day is another story for another time :) Thank you Robot Heart family, for taking me in, for trusting me with this night, and for just being overall amazecubes.” - Jake @jake-basker Set cover photo by Joe Thomas @burningman

Jonathan Kaspar - Robot Heart - Burning Man 2025
Saturday night after the Burn, an off-the-books gathering took shape. A few reschedules, a few friends stepped in, and the music carried us through the dark hours into sunrise. @jonathankaspar opened the journey. “The night of my first Robot Heart set is still vivid in my mind. It was the last night of my Burn 2025. We met at the camp, started the engines of the art car, and drove out onto the playa, deep into the glittering darkness, leaving the city behind. The desert felt endless and for a while we just cruised through the dust looking for the right place to stop and find a small moment of stillness before the music would take over. When we finally parked and the sound system came alive, the night already had that slightly surreal energy to it, and my set unfolded somewhere within that space. Trippy, playful, and a little twisted, drifting between hypnotic grooves and strange psychedelic turns. I completely fell in love with the immersive, crispy sound of the Robot Heart speakers and found my place beneath the heart, which was conquered by glowing dancers. Moments like this are what make Robot Heart so special to me, a moving dancefloor in the middle of nowhere, where the night can stretch endlessly and the music becomes part of the landscape. This recording captures a very personal piece of that moment, one I’ll carry with me forever.” -Jonathan @jonathankaspar https://linktr.ee/jonathankaspar Cover photo: Cam Hogan @itscamhogan @burningman Listen on YT: https://youtu.be/jmzewPWkgIw

Justin Shaffer (Vinyl Set) - Robot Heart - Burning Man 2025
Thank you, Justin, for bringing vinyl to The Bus on playa. A first we won’t forget. “Monday morning after the Temple Burn, just before the sunrise.. I walked up to the bus with my record bag as Aline Brooklyn and David Triana were wrapping up their opening set for the night. I was excited to play during the last party of the week, followed by the historic mayhem of the Wolf & Lamb crew. Somehow it felt fitting for different worlds to meet this way around the turntables in our closing party of the 2025 Burn. The suspension hissed as we let all the air out and the bus settled onto the axles. An attempt to stabilize the twenty two new subwoofers we’d been designing for the past three years, now installed, doing their best to create one of the more challenging situations for turntable isolation ever. The team helped to slide the table into place we’d prepared and I grabbed the first record and put it on the platter, floating precariously on three layers of isolation tables and air pillows… threatening to jump the groove at any moment. I was grateful to find the flow quickly and felt so held and safe in this special container created by our crew that morning. Slowly they invited curious dancers to join us on the top deck.. 1 more… 5 more.. 10 more.. until it felt alive in the booth again, but with the collective presence and dedication to the music quite palpable. The rest was a beautiful blur and an hour and forty five minutes later, I came up for air as my last track played. Table removed, Gadi began his set on the CDJs and it was almost as if it hadn’t even happened. If you were there, then you know. If not, I hope you enjoy this recording of the first, and hopefully not the last, vinyl set ever played on the Robot Heart Bus. For all of you who contributed your energy and love to making this possible, my deepest gratitude. Thank you for your support!” - Justin https://on.soundcloud.com/shafferj https://www.instagram.com/shafferj https://www.shafferj.com/ Cover photo by: https://www.instagram.com/_gabdo

Lee Burridge - Robot Heart - Burning Man 2025
Since the early years, Saturday morning sunrise at Robot Heart has been a quiet constant. A shared return point. A moment where the week turns and something collective takes shape. This year, that moment carried extra weight. After days of intensity and endurance, the sunrise felt like a release. Many described Lee’s music as cleansing. As cathartic. As a gentle way back into themselves and into each other. What you hear here is not just a set, but a continuation. A thread that runs through years of mornings, faces, and first light. Peep the FULL video set directed by Christian Lamb / badass team: https://youtu.be/S7OBT3kQAHQ "Uh oh ... another DJ set from Burning Man! Well, hopefully not just that. This year for my Saturday morning Robot Heart sunrise set I wanted to be able to experience and then share a little bit more. I asked Christian to weave his visual magic into a three hour journey that captures moments both epic and intimate. That no matter where any of us were we'd likely still miss. The moments where people connect and disconnect. The tipping point where night turns to day as an epic sunrise ignites the ever present veil of dust shimmering in the air. The ebb and flow of those arriving or those off on their next adventure. Smiles. Moments of reflection and introspection. The view from the heart. The vibe on the the dance floor embracing the soul you love or just moving in time with the music. A rollercoaster ride of the collective vibe. This is the three hour soundtrack I shared with you and the personal moments you shared with each other. Perhaps, if you've not been to Burning Man yet, this one little slice of the cornocopia of experiences the Playa has to offer will get you one step closer. See you in the dust? My love, respect and appreciation to everyone at Robot Heart and to Christian and his team for this beautiful journey." Lee https://soundcloud.com/leeburridge Cover photo - polaroid by Colonel

Riche - Robot Heart - Burning Man 2025
Thursday early a.m. carried the full spectrum of the playa: the waiting and then the lift of it all finally coming together. It was dark and still, fragile and fleeting, but in that moment everything was in motion. Riche at the helm. “Arriving at this moment on the Playa, playing for Robot Heart was the definition of delayed gratification after so much blood, sweat, and tears. We arrived in 70 mph winds on Saturday, and our plane made the fastest landing the control tower had ever seen. Then we had to postpone the bus twice, and it truly seemed like it wasn’t going to happen this year. But somehow, at the very last moment, they ran into my camp, found me in the dinner line, and asked if I could play that first clear night. It all came together in that imperfect yet perfect playa way, and now it’s a memory I’ll never forget. After days of storms and chaos, we were all ready to finally let go and dance. We rocked the bus, and I couldn’t stop smiling, surrounded by the joy of it all. To my Robot Heart family, thank you for welcoming me into yours and trusting me with this moment. The bus is history, the future, and a hallowed place for music. I couldn’t have done it without my friends, my community, and everyone who helped make it happen. I love you all to the moon and back. Thank you. We did it. And to everyone watching now, I hope you feel the energy and love we all felt that night from the 🤖❤️.” YT: youtu.be/DBoJ4r2Fo84 Musical Journey: Riche https://soundcloud.com/riche / instagram.com/riche Cover photo: Stacie Hess instagram.com/staciehess

Baby Prince - Robot Heart - Burning Man 2025
As the final sunrise broke over the desert, Gadi aka Baby Prince guided us through the full spectrum: unfiltered, wild, and everything in between. 🔥💋🔥 In his own words… Time marches on… Sometime around 2007, Geo told me they were building something massive, the likes of which the playa had never seen. That summer, we were among a handful of artists who played that very first year on Robot Heart. We dropped Sade and Prince, played for hours, and from that moment on, there was no looking back. The Wolf + Lamb sound was reborn that morning. This set was my first time playing back in the bus in over a decade, and what a thrill it was to close the burn with my crew and the Robot Heart fam. Massive love and thanks for the support, boys and girls. What a ride! bilaliwood - Robot Heart - Burning Man 2025
As the first release from Burning Man 2025, we’re honored to share a set that carries a different kind of Playa energy - one made for a night like Burn Night. Bilal blessed us with a set rich in soul and grit, channeling the roots of house from Detroit, Chicago, and New York - the very foundation that shaped the dance floor. 🕺🏽✨ In Bilal’s own words: this was burn #11 for me. and you'd think you know what to expect by now. but NOPE! this place really knows how to throw a curveball at all of us... but seeing people bounce back and knock that curveball out of the park is more amazing to see. i really didnt know what to expect on Man Burn Night, surrounded by all the different art cars and crowds. its basically like standing in the TV section at Best Buy with every channel blaring at once. anyway, this mix is the result of the environment at the time. i had fun sharing this music and i hope you do too. BIG LOVE & GRATITUDE TO THE ENTIRE ROBOT HEART CREW FOR ALL THE MAGIC YOU POUR INTO THIS, YEAR AFTER YEAR! Shout-outs to: Justin – You were right when you said to me don’t plan for anything, just come prepared. Jason – Thank you for giving me a shot on my FAVORITE soundsystem, and for your support in releasing this recording. Adrian/Dimitris – None of this would have been possible without you both. Chief – Getting you on your feet was the best compliment. Gabriel – You havin' fun yet? To the people in the crowd – It wouldn’t have been the same without your presence and energy. Gunita – Thanks for the pushing and nudging and pushing. Also, you finally made it to one of my sets. Tyler – Thanks for keeping me calm, 'cause maybe, I was low-key shitting myself. Chad Livingston – You helped me make the people laugh. We did it! Zoe – Next time! @cherk-gdp – WARNING: There is no Playatech in this recording. Anna – I saw you dancing the whole time! Sorry I missed you on your way out. Etty/Essem – I did show up to Greg and Summer's wedding, just ask them! Kamal/Tazeen – This trip was not possible without you both. Also, I’m really sorry I yelled. Colette – My best friend and wife, no one has shown more patience with me than you. I love you. And to the artists who make the music I love – I'll keep doing my best to share what you put out in this world. DJ Tennis B2B Bonobo - Robot Heart - Burning Man 2024
Wednesday morning was something else. DJ Tennis curated a full day of back-to-back sets on the Robot Heart bus, calling it Tennis Doubles. The highlight was the sunrise set with Simon, aka Bonobo. It was Simon’s first Burn and the rest is history. 🎾🌞❤️ In DJ Tennis’ words, “Robot Heart is family. When they asked me to curate the Wednesday lineup, I knew I had to bring Simon for his first Burn. That sunrise was pure magic playing side by side with an artist I deeply admire, as the desert came alive, felt like it was always meant to be. Art Department (Kenny Glasgow) - Robot Heart Residency - Oakland 2024
Art Department (Kenny Glasgow) from the Robot Heart ResIIdency at the Loom in Oakland CA, 2024 On May 10th, we had arranged something truly special: a rare reunion from Art Department, Jonny and Kenny back under the original banner. The day before the show, though, we got word that Jonny tested positive for COVID and would not be able to make it. To make matters worse, Kenny showed up feeling off himself—stomach problems, not doing great. For a moment, we were not sure whether the set would happen at all. Then, after a quick pep talk (and maybe a little Johnnie Walker), Kenny decided to push through. He played the entire set from just one side of the DJ setup, leaving the other deck silent, like he was holding space for Jonny. Mid-set he passed us his phone to grab some content; somewhere between shots we pulled a South Park moment and killed Kenny’s phone, leaving him to play on, clock-free and carried by the night’s energy. With no idea what time it was, Kenny kept the dance floor alive well past closing. It was one of the most memorable sets of the season—raw, alive, and full of heart. Kenny played for both of them, and everyone there felt it. Nights like that are why we do this. Also available on Robot Heart YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xix6gSGNngI Playing on Robot Heart at burning man was a dream we barely dared to dream. We’d played a B2B at RH Oakland pop up and had such a great night opening for DJ Tennis. When the invitation came to play the art car at Burning Man with its incredible sound, production and legacy we were elated. We rented bikes en route and embraced the adventure with no plans other than our set time. We couldn’t have hoped for a better first experience as part of the Robot Heart playa family and are happy to share our set IG www.instagram.com/djmashamar www.instagram.com/heidilawden SC https://soundcloud.com/mashamar https://soundcloud.com/HEIDSKI Photo Credit: John Dill

Sainte Vie (Edits & Remixes Only Live Set) - Robot Heart - Burning Man 2024
Also available on Robot Heart YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=852eTkhIzKE Playing on the Robot Heart bus at Burning Man is a dream I’ll never get tired of living. Robot Heart is a constant source of inspiration to me and so many others! Grateful for the opportunity to play on the bus again. This year (2024), my set time was Monday Morning at 7:00 am so I wanted to prepare something special for the beginning of an unforgettable week. I decided to play a live set filled with most of the Edits/Remixes I’ve made along the years (for example: Edits/Remixes I’ve made of Alice Coltrane, Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Michelle Gurevich, Acid Pauli, Nicolas Jaar, Fred Again, etc…). I honestly couldn’t be happier with the result of this experiment! John Dill - Robot Heart - 159 Final Final Halloween Afterparty - NYC 2023
One year ago today, October 29, 2023, we said our final goodbye to 159. A building that is dear to our hearts and the birth site of the Robot Heart community. We gathered there to celebrate life, love and beats. Closing set, 11AM to .......! I played many closing sets within those walls, but this “final final” hit differently. I poured my heart into the music, weaving through pockets of tunes that felt just right for that moment—to honor Geo, the space, the neighborhood, and our dusty roots. Big thanks to Benji for making this celebration happen and to all the family and friends who brought the Halloween heat! The red door is etched in my soul, and seeing it on the playa this year was truly special. Lee Burridge - Robot Heart - Burning Man 2024
Watch the film on Robot Heart YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bCDun7jhQwE For pretty much the whole year I’m either headed towards or away from Burning Man. Each year out there there’s this moment in space and time where I feel perfectly balanced between the two. It’s a moment where time stands still, just for a second. That moment is when the first ember of the day’s sun peaks over the mountain top to begin its journey once more. I try to find a piece of music to express the feeling of stillness and presence I get. This year the sun was kind enough to arrive 1 hour 28 minutes and 40 seconds into this mix. I was in awe. I’m still in awe. Some of the magic of the playa for me is where the nature blends with boundless creativity. Where love meets wonder and we get to laugh, dance and play. Add a dash of music for good measure and, for a moment, that magic catches its breath to take it all in, and stands still. 2024 was one of my favorite years ever. Thank you to all you artists and lovers, cooks and cuddlers. To all those who toil for months before and after to make it happen and to anyone who gave anything to another. You’re all amazing. I’m currently headed back towards (or is it away from) that moment once more. facebook.com/djleeburridge/ soundcloud @leeburridge instagram.com/djleeburridge/ youtube.com/channel/UCvxKBfk4mRlU4XWeuC-1FNg twitter.com/leebu Photo Credit: Christian Lamb

See the full film on Robot Heart YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=neL0slU1bFU&t=2s We’re grateful to have shared an unforgettable moment on the iconic Robot Heart art car as Arodes and Shimza. This sunset set wasn’t just a performance; it was a reflection of the deep bond we’ve built through music. Music has always been the heart of our connection, and sharing this journey with such a beautiful community, under the vast desert sky, felt like a true alignment of energy and purpose. Mark Slee A/Vfib Live - Robot Heart Residency - Oakland 2024
Mark Slee AVfib Live Film on Robot Heart YouTube - https://youtu.be/78fKtE8yZAQ?si=Zl0kY_7tVZA1cvLE It was an absolute treat to perform this set at the Robot Heart residency. A fantastic space with excellent sound, closely situated to Burning Man's physical roots, celebrating a broad creative spectrum of music, lighting, and physical installation art — what's not to love? It was the perfect setting to debut this "A/Vfib Live" show. After 20+ years of making dance music and 10+ years working on LED art, the concept of a singular integrated performance of original audio-visual content had been slowly gathering steam in my mind. With this opportunity, the moment finally felt right. Huge gratitude to the whole Robot Heart team and the Defibrillator lighting crew for creating such a unique multi-media canvas to play on, for trusting me to explore new material, and for fostering so much creative development along the way. Special thanks to @shafferj for "seeing the light" many years ago and steadily encouraging this work ever since, from freezing our asses off shooting photos at night to developing supremely cozy butt-warming interior lighting environments. @mcslee instagram.com/mcslee facebook.com/marksleemusic Tracklisting: (00:00) A/Vfib Intro (01:05) Echostream (06:30) Silverbeak (12:44) Nocturne Belle (18:40) Grapeseed (24:16) Seizoen (29:19) Westvine (34:37) Eiderdown (40:02) Bitter Flower (45:43) Velveteen (51:00) Wormwood (56:02) Cardamom Photo Credit: John Dill

Goldcap - Robot Heart - Burning Man 2023
“Greetings friends. Im very happy to recieve the amazing Robot Heart family’s choice to release my set from the burn last year. After a wild and wonderful week for dust & mud, This impromptu evening on the bus was stitched together quite suddenly by our dear Robots, who assembled all the loons left behind from the fleeing masses on Monday night. This may have been one of the best nights in terms of vibe i’ve felt on the playa in a long time. For the true warriors stayed for the next few days to extend our journey without a single complaint of rain or mud to be whispered at any point throughout the evening. To those who were in attendance… i salute you. To the responsible ones who were on the move… dont worry, we saved you your seats. To the global family who skipped this year with an unexpected smile… guess again 😉. And to my favorite wizards, witches, and warriors of the Robot Heart… you make the magic true and dependable year after year, rain or shine, virgins or veterans, hardships and happiness. I lovr you & I thank you. And for all you musical maniacs, i hope you enjoy this brief glimpse into the freedom in sound selection we were given on this fun and unexpected eve. Hope to see you in a few months for Burn 2024 🔥❤️🔥” @goldcap instagram.com/goldcap/ facebook.com/Goldcap Photo Credit: John Dill Art: the sh4m4n sh1t sh0w rOad sh0w. @janhilmer @nicecollective @alephgeddis

HOSH - Robot Heart Residency - Oakland 2023
Hello everyone, last year, as Christina and I made our first journey to Burning Man, excitement would be understated with plans to deliver an electrifying set at the iconic Robot Heart Bus after Lee Burridge. However, nature had other plans — unprecedented heavy rains and flooding at the event meant that, unfortunately, my performance could not go ahead. On my recent US tour, our ever-supportive friend, Benjamin from Robert Heart and the rest of the crew, extended a heartfelt invitation to play at their unique San Francisco-Oakland residency. This mix is not just a set; it's a token of appreciation to all who were there and an offering to those who couldn’t join us. Immerse yourself in a slice of the magic from that night. Whether you're listening from near or far, I hope it transports you right there with us. Looking forward to the next gathering at the Robot Heart residency in San Francisco / Oakland on May 9th. Enjoy the journey, HOSH soundcloud.com/HOSH instagram.com/hosh.m Photo Credit: John Dill

Lee Burridge - Robot Heart - Burning Man 2023
I was thinking about all the long waits in line for Burning Man tickets over the years and decided to give some of you something to listen to while the walking person icon slowly makes its way across the screen holding all our hopes in its little tiny pixel hands. The wait time is usually about as long as it took to get from one side of the playa to the other last year after it rained and the playa shrimp rose up to attempt to take over the world!! Burning Mud. Mudding man. Raining man. Remember the wild stories (all from the outside media or Diplo and Chris Rock) vs the kindness and generosity of strangers out on the playa. I hope, even if faced with adversity last year, maybe, just maybe, you also saw how wonderful people can be when called upon in a ‘crisis’. I was lucky enough to stay until Tuesday night and grateful to still get to play a sunrise on the Robot Heart albeit a few days later than planned. There was so much love in the air that (finally) beautiful morning. If you missed it or want to listen once more or are just bored and looking for something to distract you while waiting in line for this years tickets (I’ll be waiting too) then here’s burning man/mud/magic 2023. Feel the love in the air and the tickle of playa shrimp on the soles of your feet. Reza Safinia - Robot Heart - Burning Man 2023
This was my second time playing at Robot Heart and it was just such an incredible experience, from the first second after pressing play, the energy in that audio system, the art of the bus, the love of the people who bring it to the playa and the energy of the crowd of burners who stayed til the end through the rain... all of it created this explosion in my heart, that propelled me into this dual plane, at once being very present in the moment, and floating above the ether... This year's burn had a special feeling from the start, the love was back, and after the rain the community felt the most connected I had ever seen. The man burn itself was poetically gorgeous, made all the more sublime by my friend John Dill's luscious set, taking the torch from him had an emotional resonance for me too. The set has three acts. I began playing when the bus was parked by the man burning, then it set on its journey into deep playa. It was so exhilarating to play while the bus was moving, watching all the bicycles following, feeling that beautiful breeze on my face! The last is once we arrived to park in deep playa for the night… I was flowing off the energy of each of these phases and also fulfilled a long time dream to pay homage to my heroes Prince and Bowie in deep playa! DAVÌ - Robot Heart Residency - Oakland 2023
My affection for Robot Heart is well-known, tracing back to my first encounter with it in the desert sands in 2008. Over the years, my musical journey has been deeply influenced and shaped by its presence. Having the opportunity to partake in Robot Heart's Residency in Oakland, California, was a true delight. The four-hour set I performed stands out as one of my favorites in recent memory, largely due to the unparalleled connection forged with the audience. Beginning the night and carrying through to the peak hours before passing the decks to Sante Vie, the energy was phenomenal to say the least. I hope that you find as much joy and resonance in this performance as I did that night Social Media instagram.com/stories/davi_official https://soundcloud.com/djdavi facebook.com/official.DAVI open.spotify.com/artist/0VkkYZbmSXa7DLcNFsRver Photo Credit: John Dill

Jay Tripwire - Robot Heart - Burning Man 2023
Jay Tripwire On the first night of my first burn this past year, I found myself in the (apparently quite rare) position of playing my first ever DJ set at Burning Man on the fabled @robotheartfoundation bus. It wasn’t until I arrived at the RH bus after completing my first deep playa bike ride that I was acutely aware of the true nature of this rolling musical monolith. The bus is a mobile sound station, a portable dance party of epic proportions. And where it went, sound would emit, humans would dance, and energy would exchange. I got to the decks atop the bus, which was well-stocked with every Burning Man archetype I had ever imagined, and many more. Musically, I had no idea how I would be received, but I pushed forward just doing my thing in a way that I thought would translate into this alien, yet strangely familiar setting: a sound system, a DJ booth, and a dance floor. Listening back to this mix, I am struck with an element of “you had to be there,” that it is difficult for a recording to properly convey the sentiment that myself and the audience experienced that night. When I DJ-it’s very human - I don’t use sync, looping, or Rekordbox and I never pre-plan anything. I use the CDJs as though they are turntables, and my style is especially discernible in this mix. A big thank you to the Robot Heart crew, especially @benji.ski and @shafferj for giving me such a warm welcome and trusting this BM virgin with the reigns of their seasoned chariot, as well as @gunitaislisted for making my journey to the playa possible. Maybe we ‘ll do it again sometime. facebook.com/jaytripwire.fanpage/ soundcloud.com/jaytripwire instagram.com/jaytripwire twitter.com/jay_tripwire discogs.com/artist/1850-Jay-Tripwire beatport.com/artist/jay-tripwire/88 Cover photo by John Dill. Christopher Schwarzwalder - Robot Heart - Burning Man 2023
Burning Man is known for its unpredictability, and this year's experience was no exception. Dust turned into mud and transformed the smallest trips outside into adventurous hikes just to get to the washroom. After being basically locked in the RV for three days and facing the prospect of a long and arduous journey back to Berlin, the news that 'The Man‘ is still going to burn came as a small redemption to the muddy world we had around us. As some DJs already left the playa I found myself in the most lucky position to be invited to play a set during the prestigious last night of the Festival on one of the best Art Cars. Robot Heart. I had the honor to play their car before and felt at home right away. This time shouldn’t be different. Thanks guys for greeting me with family feelings and giving me the opportunity to play on your amazing car once again. So spontaneous and unprepared this set was it turned out to be a really good one I think. Can’t go wrong with letting loose:) And as always: Thanks everybody who was there for dancing and sharing the love we all needed that night! instagram.com/schwrzwldr/ open.spotify.com/artist/11i3tISGuOUmWFuXTRNrtD?si=H7jqhUsdRG-vEZkPAeMEDw soundcloud.com/shuffle https://ra.co/dj/chrisschwarzwalder Photo Credit: John Dill

Atish - Robot Heart Residency - Oakland 2023
Beyond the incredible venue, production, and beautiful collection of humans, there were three things that made set this extra special for me: opening the room to an empty dance floor, having the DJ booth in the center of the room, and playing the most original music I’ve played in a set. I rarely get to build a room from zero anymore, so I took great pleasure in playing records early on that are subtler, slowly building tension as people trickled into the venue. Having the booth in the center made it much easier for me to sense what the people sonically needed as the night progressed - we all were locked in for the last hour. I also blended the ambient room sounds with the mixer output capture the spirit of the night. You’ll hear the excitement of the crowd match the energy crescendo. When I listen to the set, it almost feels like I’m transported back to the party. It a very special gig, and I’m grateful to Robot Heart for having me play. Friday’s sunrise with Robot Heart, right before the storm. 🙏🏻❤️ Full of love, resilience, and profound synchronicities, I’m so grateful for this magical moment together. We all rolled out with the RH bus around 5:30am as the wind was picking up. During the ride out to the deep playa I played sections of Lucid Waves with the heartbeat in the music pulsing with the RH heart. Once Benji and Justin found our spot, I began the set and a beautiful sparrow spiraled around me and sat by my side. A small window in the clouds let the golden light of the sunrise pour in. All love for Robot Heart making it happen. Benji, Justin, Ting, the whole crew, thank you. Rebolledo and I have some unforgettable moments playing together on the playa through the past 10 years and every time it was an unpredictable journey through totally different musical dimensions. This b2b set on the Robot Heart is no exception. We traveled in time exploring different corners of dance music and I love how musically raw and diverse the set was. See a video of the Rodriguez Jr. track What Is Real (Deep in the Playa Remix) featuring Liset Alea over on the Robot Heart YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zK1HD1nxQxc _______________________________________________________________________________________________ I had the chance to meet the Robot Heart crew twelve years ago in NYC for a giant Halloween party where I played on the ‘copy bus’. That was a life changing moment somehow. I realized my music could be the soundtrack for a world that’s beyond our imagination, far from my Paris studio. In 2023, I come full circle by performing at Burning Man for the very first time with my partner Liset Alea. This Thursday sunset set was a moment we’ll savour for years to come. In this live recording you’ll hear: Liset singing 30 feet above the ground from inside the blinking heart, the voices of multiple colorful creatures dancing all around us, the massive Know Audio custom sound system rumbling under our feet, the laughter of unicorns, dragons and shamans… and if you really listen carefully you might even hear the buzz of a billion stars shimmering above our head. Memories of Robot Heart founder Geo carried us along the set. His legacy will live forever. Thank you Robot Heart for your commitment to music, love and Burning Man. John Dill - Robot Heart - Burning Man 2023
It was one for the books! Flooded with up’s and downs. This was the oldest man in the history of Burning Man I believe; with extra days on the Playa we all got a little wiser. It was wonderful to see people come together and weather the storms. Big thanks to my Robot Heart camp for making this after the rain party happen. Much love to everyone who came out to celebrate with us. This set is dedicated to everyone who made to the dust and to the ones who rocked the mud. Adam Ten - Robot Heart - Burning Man 2023
Robot Heart has been inspiring me for years. It's a place where one can speak truly as an artist, providing a platform to create transformative moments in time. The month before Burning Man I was incredibly inspired to create special new tracks and edits for that Robot Heart morning. Half of them didn’t even make it into the set as I prefer to follow my feelings and instincts at the moment. Robot Heart to me, is the passion to create and experiment. It embodies the value of being present. Hope you guys like it and get inspired in your own way. Viken Arman - Robot Heart - Burning Man 2022
When the Temple burns, we bury a part of ourselves. We remember. We cry. We smile. And we move forward. A beautiful moment of eternity. Something intimate. Sometimes hard. Somehow sacred. Playing on the Robot Heart bus after the Temple Burn has become an annual tradition for me. It's a very special moment emotionally. But this one was the toughest. For many reasons... But in the end, this closing opened the door to something bigger. I am forever grateful for what happened afterward. Family for life. Unforgettable. All love. instagram.com/vikenarman soundcloud.com/vikenarman facebook.com/vikenarman open.spotify.com/artist/1xQVwAdSz…_wQPKb8obv61qn3w Art project in photo “The Prairie of Possibilities” by: https://www.moonlightcollective.studio/ https://instagram.com/the.moonlight.collective Photo: John Dill

Joep Mencke - Robot Heart - Burning Man 2022
Eight years ago I discovered Robot Heart and their sets opened many musical horizons for me. They had a profound impact on my journey as an artist and playing for Robot Heart became one of my biggest dreams. I am blessed to see it all come full circle. Last summer, my dream came true. Surrounded by many close friends, family and camp buddies, I had the honor of closing Tuesday morning. What a feeling it was to stand in the deep playa on top of this legendary bus, sharing music I worked hard to create, seeing each one of you dancing in the blistering sun…. I am grateful for this important milestone in my musical path and for witnessing how much I have grown over the past years. Big thank you to the Robot Heart crew for making this all happen.
