Ronni and Jennie
by James
Ronni and Jennie are sisters who weren't supposed to be friends. Growing up in a family with addiction, abuse, and mental illness created dynamics that often pitted them against each other, and pigeon-holed them into the roles of "hero" and "scapegoat." They managed to come together in adulthood to help each other heal, and have written a book about their experiences to help others heal from childhood trauma and rebuild their sibling relationships. They have been podcasting about their lives as "The Heart and SoulSisters." In the first episode of this podcast, as simply "Ronni and Jennie," they talk about completing their book.
