    LAUSD unions hold massive rally, prepare for strike

    On this episode of Room 22 podcast, host Gabrielle Lashley invites Prestige Yearbook Editor-in-Chief Naamah Silcott and Entertainment Editor Grant Asner to speak about the Service Employees International Union Local 99 and United Teachers Los Angeles rally that took place this Wednesday. The rally that was held in Downtown LA was arranged by SEIU Local 99, advocating for higher wages for service workers who were joined by UTLA members. The rally was a precursor to the upcoming strike taking place on March 21-23, unless negotiations are successful. Silcott and Asner talk about their experiences reporting on such a large event and provide interview responses from workers who were at the rally.

The Stock Market Game is a simulation game based off the real-life stock market that seniors in Economics classes have been participating in as a part of their curriculum.

"I really like seeing that growth in them."
