    S3 EP20 - Five More Please

The SA Shotclock is back for another week including the latest on SA’s local basketball leagues including NBL1 Central and the conclusion of the NBL season. More “Under the Microscope” comes at us hard as we piece together the chances of the Norwood Flames and the Central District Lions.TP & Jimmy Buckets analyse both Women’s teams which enter 2026 with solid back up core but once again will the incoming recruits be enough to lift them up the table from where they were in 2025? It couldn’t be more different in the Mens though with the Flames shuffling their deck and the Lions trying to find some aces in their pack – will it be a new hand that fires or an old paw with some sharpened claws?Plus – first we had the Adelaide 36ers “Inevitable” Cotton and then SEM Phoenix “Sobey One” win games for their teams in Game 1 & Game 2 – who will take game three and advance to play the Sydney Kings in the NBL Grand Final Series? We look at the game breakers and makers across the first two match-ups and challenge the need for a gutsy move or two to get it done…  TP also takes a quick look at the Australian Opals first three games and what’s ahead for the last two of their World Cup Qualifiers – and with the sad news hitting us that the “King” has passed - a small tribute to a 36ers legend in the lead up to Tuesday night’s emotional semi-final.

More “Under the Microscope” hits us with the incoming analysis of the Forestville Eagles, North Adelaide Rockets and the South Adelaide Panthers.TP & Jimmy Buckets analyse all six teams with a number of contending teams in the women’s but perhaps are still the “one piece” away from having the assuredness of a top position in 2026. These Men’s teams have had some roster turnover heading in different directions so while managing expectations is key – how far can these three teams go in season 2026?Plus, tonight is the big one as the Adelaide 36ers take on their first home final since 2018 against the South East Melbourne Phoenix and while they may be another reiteration – there is a magic rivalry steeped in history about to play out another chapter in a classic SA vs VIC clash of the Titans (pun intended).TP also takes a quick look ahead at the Australian Opals opponents in their upcoming World Cup Qualifiers against their five opponents – let’s not waste any more time.Let’s a go…
