    Saint Wenceslaus – 28 September

This month it's a yuletide deep cut as we follow the life of Saint Wenceslaus. You may know him better as the “king” from that one Christmas carol you don’t know the words to, but we have you covered with a deep dive into the lyrics (which are surprisingly nice) as well as a discussions of his toxic family dynamics, repeated incursions on Prague, and Anna spirited defense of sexual desecration. Saint Winifred – 3 November

Come along with us as we creep into the life of Saint Winifred and find out why she may have the most appropriate and important patronage of all time. You’ll also hear about sneaky churches, terrible princes, abundant wells, and Matthew’s innovative solution for sexism (#smite). Plus, Anna isn’t sick and Matthew ties to do something (anything) about America by donating to Feeding America. And show off your love for this podcast with an exclusive Saint Agoostine t-shirt. Please rate, review, and subscribe wherever you can. Saint Therese of Lisieux– 1 October

If the life of Saint Therese of Lisieux teaches us one thing it’s to savor the precious time we have with the people we really love (as well as the people we can’t stand) and maybe commemorate that lovewith professional portraits. Along the way we talk about maybe being too attached to your sisters, not bugging the Pope for every little thing, why Phoenix is a bad idea, and get bogged down more than once about the obsolete photo department of a defunct corporation. Plus, Anna and Matthew stand on the moral high ground to dunk pretty hard on the Riyadh Comedy Festival. And show off your love for this podcast with an exclusive Saint Agoostine t-shirt. Please rate, review, and subscribe wherever you can. Saint John Chrysostom – 13 September

“Nobody’s perfect but some people could be a hell of a lot better.” This quote from Matthew pretty much summarizes the life of Saint John Chrysostom. A champion of the poor and a great orator but also am antisemite and a tosser of ladies.  Plus, Anna finds out there is such a thing as a free lunch and Matthew gains more power. And show off your love for this podcast with an exclusive Saint Agoostine t-shirt. Please rate, review, and subscribe wherever you can. Saint Dominic de Guzmán – 8 August

Maybe not the first but certainly the best (maybe) Saint Dominic: Saint Dominic de Guzmán is this episode's focus. Join us for terrible visions, dog faced boys, failed fiancé retrieval, and distinct lack of shoes. Plus, Matthew lives through another Oxford Comedy Festival (if you call this living) and Anna tries to form a union of one. And show off your love for this podcast with an exclusive Saint Agoostine t-shirt. Please rate, review, and subscribe wherever you can. Saint Swithun - 15 July

Into every life a little rain must fall and in the case of life of Saint Swithun, maybe too much. Honestly, we don’t find out too terribly much about his life but we do get to hear about his holy holes, his surf banquets, his many charter witnesses, his love of outdoor graves, and his facility with eggs.  Plus, Anna in in a moral quandary about ethical milk substitutes and Matthew runs into Anna in the most unlikely of places. And show off your love for this podcast with an exclusive Saint Agoostine t-shirt.Please rate, review, and subscribe wherever you can. Pope Saint Leo I – 10 November

We kick off #PopeGirlSummer with eh first of thirteen episodes (or possibly the last) about all the Pope Leos out there starting with number one: Pope Leo I. Also know as Pope Leo the Great he was anything but as he tortured, murdered, and intimidated people with his large hat to secure his papacy. Pope Saint Gregory VII – 25 May

Matthew’s audio is messed up this episode but not nearly as messed up as the life of Pope Saint Gregory VII. Sure he was Pope but does that mean he was any good? He was elevated by a mob to make an army, centralize corruption, and getthe most strongly worded letter in history Plus, Anna and Matt eulogize a nice Pope who really flew over the very low bar set by previous ones (see the above sentences). Please rate, review, and subscribe wherever you can. Blessed Carlo Acutis – 12 October

In what be out first (and possibly only) topical episode we delve into the short but very sweet life of the first millennial saint ( as of 27 April 2025) Blessed Carlo Acutis. From his early days as a sweet boy just trying to help his friends through their parent’s divorce to his journey to becoming God’s influencer it’s just one nice thing after another with this kid. He’s a total sweetheart and we love him and definitely don’t deserve to be cancelled for having fun around the tragically short life of a fifteen year old boy. Right, everybody? Right? Hello?. Plus, Anna gets a new job and Matt tries to do his current jobs. Please rate, review, and subscribe wherever you can. It really helps the show. And tell a friend! Saint David - 1 March

Look, we have nothing against Whales but we keep doing these episodes anyways. This time it's Saint David under our snarky microscope adn we talk about him and a ton of other stuff too. Honestly, the Welsh have no reason to get mad at us because we actually have so many asides we hardly have any time to talk badly about their, um, country? I guess? Also, support Anna's sister Emily in her marathon run for refugees. Saint Margaret of Hungary – 18 January

This episode we get dressed up in our best iron garments and talk about the life and times of Margaret of Hungary. Starting out strong and predictably as a rich kid (a fact she totally hated or so she said) she went on to found a monastery, kidnap some people for feminism, do a lot of counting, and even managed to bounce back from a pillow based controversy to become a saint eventually. Plus, Anna makes the ultimate sacrifice to get the podcast recorded and Matthew shares some revealing statistics about…YOU!. Please rate, review, and subscribe wherever you can. Lock yourself in this today and enjoy the tales of the life of Saint Christina of Markyate. A nice lady who was prone to be locked up by her parents, creepy archbishops, and even her "friends" but it was all worth it in the end for her to gain her miraculous powers of being able to read minds and salads(?). Saint Laurence O’Toole– 14 November

This episode we head to the darkest period of Irish history [Citation Needed] with the life and times of Saint Laurence O’Toole. Sure he started off as a prince but that doesn’t mean he didn’t have a childhood as a professional hostage before rising through the ranks to become the Archbishop of Dublin.  Along the way we learn about his difficult relationship with his dad, his less than stellar negotiation skills, a near cudgeling, and get some bad news about a dog Matthew once met. Saint Pelagia the Harlot – 8 October

We start off strong with a cool name and then it’s all downhill from there as we talk about the life and times of Saint Pelagia the Harlot. A crowd of people looking at her ass (by which we mean donkey) leads to a nosey bishop making her feel bad for selling her ass (by which we mean her ass) and then it’s all fake eunuchs and eating disorders until she’s dead on a pile of olives. We also try to answer the age old question of whether actors are a good hang or not. Plus Anna faces some harsh karma and Matthew promises to invite Anna to the next Saint Misbehavin’ staff meeting. Saint Giles – 1 September

This month’s episode is pure poetry as we bust into the life and times of the highly recommended Saint Giles. He’s a sweet, if chronically misunderstood, man who loved animals and solitude and we discuss his close relationship with a deer, a king who does not know when he’s not wanted, his “expertise” in lactation, and whether PETA is front for Big Meat. Plus, in a shocking move, Anna Climbs a hill and, predictably, Matthew has another giant baby. https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/saint-misbehavin/id1547078763 and subscribe wherever you can. Saint Philomena – 11 August

In today’s episode we try to figure out how important being real is to being a good person with the life(?) and after life of Saint Philomena. From humble beginnings as a pile of dust, she became the daughter of a Greek King and, after several false starts, a martyr. Along he way we meet ham wives, questionable nuns, and have a run in with our old nemesis, Emperor Diocletian (booooooo!). Plus, Anna and Matthew try desperately to scrounge for some corporate sponsorship and ice cream. Please rate, review, and subscribe wherever you can. It really helps the show. And tell a friend! He out lived a large number of E-named kings, if you call living in a tiny room or a ruined abbey "living". Blessed Mark Barkworth - 27 February

If there's one thing we learn from the life of Blessed Mark Barkworth it’s when to get out of England. It’s a lesson he didn’t learn himself but along the way he became a priest and enemy of the state (thanks to the Pope), gets some useless pseudonyms, and becomes a horrible cellmate. Plus, Anna gets a miraculous gift to help with her recovery and Matthew is here. Please rate, review, and subscribe wherever you can. It really helps the show. And tell a friend! Thanks. Saint Edward The Confessor - 5 January

Hey Look at that, we're back again! After a brief hiatus for health reasons were back at it with the life of England's own Saint Edward the Confessor. Sure he was a king but was he much of a saint and also was he king? As far as we can tell he wasn't very invested in his job, had a pretty unsupportive mother, and never figured out that there was even a south of France. Plus, Anna get better and employed and Matthew give a shout out to some lovely words form a saintly fellow on the other side of the globe. Please rate, review, and subscribe wherever you can. Ain’t Mythbehavin’ Ep. 13 – Huldufólk

This week, Matthew chickens out on his original topic because it was too creepy so he switches to tales of the Icelandic Huldufólk. But it turns out this isn’t just tales of fun elves who throw parties in your house while you’re asleep, it also includes slavery, man-eating cats, peeping toms, the patriarchy, and so much more. Plus, Anna does an epic thing but Matthew brings a real January energy to podcast. Please rate, review, and subscribe wherever you can. It really helps the show. And tell a friend! Thanks. Just in time to be late for the holidays, Matthew and Anna talk about the real reason for the season: Saturn, the original shitty dad and party god of Roman mythology. This episode has creation myths, baby eating, and we come up with a great plan for the city of Cincinnati. Note: This one is out of order due to an upload mix-up. Hope you still enjoy it After subjecting Anna to several end of the world myths, this month Matthew swings in the other direction with the Chinese creation myth of Pangu (probably the coolest dude we've covered since Enkidu). It's got giant eggs, hairy giants, questionable axes and so much more. And at the end we get everything! Please rate, review, and subscribe wherever you can. It really helps the show. Ain’t Mythbehavin’ Ep. 11 – Finn McCool

This week we head to ancient Ireland to discuss the hero who most sound like an item on the McDonald’s desert menu, Finn McCool. It’s a fun romp through the Irish countryside as we learn about his (literally) cool Dad, being raised by a pair of lesbian Druids, his love affair with a deer, and his fool-proof strategies to get out of a fight. Plus Matthew takes an epic journey to Scotland and Anna stands in line to keep her community safe. Please rate, review, and subscribe wherever you can. It really helps the show. And tell a friend! This week we court controversy as we relate the most recent mythology we’ve ever done and tackle the tale of Xenu. 75 Million years from start to finish, this story take us from the mysterious (yet familiar) planet Teegeeack to the equally strange Clearwater, Florida. Plus, society continues to celebrate Matthew as “world’s greatest Dad” and Anna surprises everybody with a legit good literary reference. Please rate, review, and subscribe wherever you can. Ain’t Mythbehavin’ Ep. 9 – Daedalus

This week it's the tale of ancient Greece's greatest inventor (he invented the axe!) Daedalus. It's a tale of his inability to keep himself (and his son) out of trouble, a recounting of his many contributions to the world (such as sex cows), and we correct a story that everybody knows but gets the wrong moral from. Plus, Matthew is a champion and Anna defeats the intro. Please rate, review, and subscribe wherever you can. It really helps the show. And tell a friend! Thanks. Ain’t Mythbehavin’ Ep. 8 – King Solomon

This week we continue on from last week’s episode and cover Kind David’s son, King Solomon. Famous for his wisdom, temple, wives, magic rings, and demon helpers, we go thought he life of this complex but mostly terrible dude. Plus, Anna does a little painting and Mathew turns out to be the worst person ever.

  33. 67

    Ain’t Mythbehavin’ Ep. 7 – King David

In this week's episode, we discuss the life of King David: giant killer, foreskin collector, wife stealer…you know just your regular old king stuff. He’s basically a serial killer but also one of the biggest heroes of the bible. (Go figure.) Also, Anna tries to prove she’s cool by dropping some hipster references and Matthew is a hero for keeping his family from murdering each other. Thanks for subscribing!

  34. 66

Ain't Mythbehavin' Ep. 06 - Sir Gawain & the Green Knight

  35. 65

    Ain't Mythbehavin' Ep. 04 - Noah

This week we dive back into floods with the story of Noah and the biblical flood myth. We get into the practicalities of ark construction and dung removal, how this story is the origin of racism, the crazy people who keep looking for an imaginary boat, and the terrible people who made their own arks.  Plus, Anna does an epically villainous act and Matthew meets a person!

  36. 64

    Ain't Mythbehavin' Ep. 03 - Gilgamesh

This month we put the “Mess” in Mesopotamia  as Matthew introduces Anna to one of the oldest stories of all time; The Epic of Gilgamesh. They talk about it’s influence on other epics (including the Bible and the Avengers), the poor judgment of the gods, the relative scariness of farm animals, and what a much cooler dude Gilgamesh’s friend Enkidu is. Plus Anna touts her one piece of knowledge about this story in an attempt to become Matthew’s hero and Matthew takes an epic, feminist stand. *Please note* Mathew’s audio is a bit muddled this week. We did our best to clean it up but it’s not the best quality. Sorry.

  37. 63

    Ain't Mythbehavin' Ep. 02 - Ragnarök

We start with the end of Norse mythology as we discuss the myth of Ragnarök. This myth has everything: Dragons, giants, wolves, squirrels, someone eats the moon, a ship made of fingernails, trees, and much, much more. Plus Matthew pitches some more side shows, Anna derails the whole conversation with discussion about a couple who had a bunch of kids and we make a plan for a pretty great party next year that you’re invited to!

Ain't Mythbehavin' Ep. 01 - Castor and Pollux

We start out strong looking at the lives of half-twins Castor and Pollux. We talk about their complicated paternity, delve into the sexuality of various water fowl, and question whether these guys are really heroes at all. Plus Matthew reveals he has (very limited) super powers.

    Saint Notburga– 13 September

Saint Notburga was a nice lady who helped the poor, blah, blah blah, basic saint stuff. What I really want to talk to you about is this: Do not eat wood. We at Sait Misbehavn’ cannot say this strongly enough. It is our official position that eating wood is bad for the human body as our digestive tacks are not designed to process wood for nutrients. Please, we ask that if you are thinking about eating wood that you do not and if you have been eating wood that you immediately cease for your own health and for the sake of those who care about you.  Plus, Anna spreads some dangerous misinformation about unsustainable diet choices and Matthew tries to set the record straight about the impossibility of a lumber based diet. Saint Augustine – 28 August

Back from break with a big name in the saint game: Saint Augustine. He’s a guy who loved sin as much as he loved lying about sinning and we follow him from Algeria to Milan and back again with minimal asides about Columbian hippos Plus, Anna learns new skills and Matthew miraculously survives another Oxford Comedy Festival. Saint Junipero – 1 July (Part 2)

Sorry it took so long but here is the exciting/depressing conclusion of the story of the life of St. Junipero. Don’t worry, it’s not just all colonizing, it’s only mostly colonizing but occasionally there is a sombrero riot and jerks get shot with an arrow. So you have that to look forward too. Plus, Anna isn’t the sickest person on the podcast for once and Matthew spent a lot of his week editing out all his coughing from the audio. Please rate, review, and subscribe wherever you can. Saint Junipero – 1 July (Part 1)

Oh boy, this is a bad one folks. Take a trip to the New World (always a bad sign) with Saint Junipero. He was a “missionary” in Mexico with an aversion to horses, a misunderstanding of bats, and a love of the inquisition so great we have to do two episodes about him. Plus, Anna over-pronounces her limited Spanish Vocabulary and Matthew has an Enterprising Father’s Day. Please rate, review, and subscribe wherever you can. It really helps the show. Saint Paulinus of Nola – 22 June

Get ready for some mind-blowing church innovation as we discuss the life of  Saint Paulinus of Nola. Sure he was rich, powerful, and had a hot wife but that doesn’t mean he didn’t give back to the community and not just in the form of a lot of churches in one specific part of Italy. He also helped a guy one time by appearing in his kidnapper's dreams. Plus, Anna witnesses some instant karma form God and Matthew become a better burrito based ally to the LGBTQ+ community. Saint Petroc– 4 June

Hope you like Cornwall because this episode we talk about the well-travelled but Cornish centered life of  Saint Petroc. From exalted beginnings in possibly the best family in Welsh history to his shame based travels with (and probable end because of) a wolf it’s a wild tale you won’t want to miss.  Plus, Anna does something she describes as “not actively bad” and Matthew talks about all the joy he gets from the sexy stars. Saint Phillip Neri – 26 May

Get ready to hear about the surprisingly joyful life of Saint Phillip Neri a man who savoured the finer sacraments of life and did a lot more bits than you would expect from a priest. It’s an episode featuring a detailed description of what 79ing is, Dracula’s crisis of faith, an account of how Paris wronged the Chadourne family, a temporary miracle, and we even make time to discuss the life of Phillip Neri. Plus, Anna makes some bathroom sacrifices and Matthew spend some time with the less fortunate (Anna). Please rate, review, and subscribe wherever you can. It really helps the show. And tell a friend! Saint Margherita of Cortona – 16 May

When she was young she never met a temptations she didn’t like but after a werewolf attack (allegedly) she became the most penitent lady ever. We get deep into what it truly means to be mutilated, find out how her life is a proto-Cinderella story, and learn how not to be a mother. Ain't Mythbehavin' Ep. 17 - Jonah

We are switching up our release dates so we are papering over the schedule with a special release from the Patrion vaults of our side show Ain't Mythbehavin'. In this episode we spend some more time in the Old Testament and inside a whale (big fish) with the world’s worst prophet Jonah. Is there more to this story then just his maritime adventures? You bet there is and we dive into the deep end of all the symbolism and metaphor you demand of us! Plus, Anna goes on a party adventure and Matt is smiled upon by the capricious gods of the UK bureaucracy. Please rate, review, and subscribe wherever you can. It really helps the show. Saint George – 23 April

It’s everybody’s favourite dragon slaying patron saint of England, Saint George. He had one life but a lot of conflicting deaths but we can all agree he got tortured a lot,  had zero instinct for self-preservation, and he was always there for his fellow man (as long as his fellow man was rich or doing colonialism.)  Plus, Anna and Matthew answer some important questions about Easter. Saint Francis de Paola – 2 April

This week Matthew isn’t the only problematic vegetarian on the podcast as we delve into the life of Saint Francis de Paola, the 15th century holy man who’s love for animals was only surpassed by his problems with women. It’s a tale of cave living, herb eating, real estate schemes, getting fatally stuck in France, dealing with trauma through fire, and learning how werewolves are made. Plus, Anna lives in  the presence of a saint for a week and Matthew is on the hunt for a very specific butt shaped seat. Please rate, review, and subscribe wherever you can. It really helps the show. Saint Cuthbert – 20 March

This week we get entrapped by our researcher Cat into discussing the life of Saint Cuthbert and making a bunch of poop noises. It’s a life of lonely island living, abandoned babies, mud holes, and helpful otters.  Plus, Anna donates to a worthy charity to help migrants and Matthew turns the other cheek in spite of all his improv training. If you would like to help out migrants in the Oxford area please consider donating to Asylum Welcome. Please rate, review, and subscribe wherever you can. It really helps the show. And tell a friend!
