#67 - A Journey to Overcome Perfectionism
Send us Fan MailHey y'all! In today’s episode of Samantha's Beauty Confessions, we’re delving into something that so many of us struggle with but rarely talk about openly: perfectionism. Trust me, if you’ve ever felt paralyzed by the need for everything to be “just right” before you start a new project or put yourself out there, this one is for you. I’m sharing my own journey from being stuck in perfectionism to finally embracing imperfect action. And here’s the best part—by the end of this episode, you’ll feel inspired to take that first messy step toward your goals, knowing that progress beats perfection every single time.Perfectionism can feel like an invisible weight, convincing us to stay in our comfort zone, where we feel safe from failure, criticism, and judgment. I get real about how this mindset held me back for years and how it even kept me from launching my Instagram page for way too long. But through some soul-searching—and yes, a hard life lesson during my divorce—I learned that trying to present a flawless image only holds us back. Sometimes, it takes a humbling experience to realize that the perfect image we strive to maintain doesn’t bring real fulfillment. In this episode, I explore the roots of these fears and how I started to let go of them. We’ll also talk about practical steps to get unstuck. From breaking down overwhelming goals into tiny, manageable actions to reframing our fear of judgment and seeing failure as just another learning experience, I’m giving you the tools I wish I had years ago. Remember, every successful person you look up to once started where you are now—struggling, uncertain, but brave enough to begin anyway. If you’re a beauty professional, content creator, or anyone with big dreams, these lessons are especially for you.So, if you’ve ever worried about what people will think or let the “not-good-enough” monster stop you from sharing your ideas, this episode will be a game-changer. Let’s learn to give ourselves grace, embrace the journey, and remind ourselves that imperfect action is still action. By the end of our chat, you’ll be ready to take that leap, no matter how imperfect your plan may seem. You deserve to chase your dreams and live a life that feels true to you—without waiting for things to be perfect. So, let’s grow together, one imperfect step at a time!Let's stay connectedFollow on Instagram @samanthasbeautyconfessionsJoin my email listCheck out my websiteFollow on TikTok @samanthasconfessionsFollow on PinterestSubscribe to my YouTubeShop my Amazon Store Front

#66 - Conquer Your Fear of Public Speaking
Send us Fan MailHey, y’all! Today, I’m sharing something really personal that shaped my journey in ways I never expected—overcoming my fear of public speaking. If you’re someone who’s ever felt held back by the thought of speaking up or standing in front of a crowd, this one’s for you. In this episode, I speak about how this fear kept me from growth opportunities, limited my self-confidence, and, honestly, stopped me from showing up as the real me. I hope that by hearing my story, you’ll feel inspired to face whatever fear might be holding you back, too.Starting with high school speech class, I learned pretty early that I struggled with speaking in front of people. Even into college, I found ways to avoid it—enrolling in smaller classes, trying to dodge presentations, and finally just not showing up. My nerves were so bad I’d blank out, and I thought I’d never get past it. Years later, after a big life change, I decided I had to work through this for myself and for anyone else who might feel like I did. That’s when I found a coach to help me, and it was a game-changer.Pushing through that fear didn’t just help me with public speaking—it unlocked parts of myself I hadn’t been able to share. I finally started connecting with my audience, sharing my face and voice on social media, working with brands, and speaking at events. That confidence was already inside me, and sometimes we just need a little help to uncover it. I hope my journey shows you that facing our fears opens doors to incredible opportunities and helps us grow in ways we never expect. Give it a listen, and I hope it sparks something for you!Let's stay connectedFollow on Instagram @samanthasbeautyconfessionsJoin my email listCheck out my websiteFollow on TikTok @samanthasconfessionsFollow on PinterestSubscribe to my YouTubeShop my Amazon Store Front

But this isn’t the typical “I’m working too much” kind of burnout. It’s more complex, tied into changes in both my personal life and business. If you've been feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just out of sync with yourself, tune in. I’m opening up about how I’ve been working through it and offering some honest advice on how we can all keep moving forward.I talk about the emotional side of burnout and how life transitions have been playing a big role in my journey. We’ve all been there—trying to balance new responsibilities, unexpected changes, and still keep up with everything else. It’s messy, but I’ve learned some important lessons about slowing down, sitting with my feelings (even the uncomfortable ones), and trying new things that bring me joy, like yard work and exercise.I also share the little shifts that are helping me reset—things like getting more in touch with my emotions, exploring new interests, and even unplugging from social media. It’s all about finding peace in the chaos and giving ourselves permission to take breaks, recharge, and come back stronger. If you're feeling a bit lost or burned out, I hope this episode helps you feel seen and gives you a few ideas on how to make it through. #59 - 5 Life Lessons I Wish I Learned Sooner
Send us Fan MailIf you are experiencing roadblocks and confusion in your life, this episode will start to make things that bit clearer for you. In this episode, I’m sharing five life lessons I wish I could’ve told my younger self. These are the lessons I’ve learned through personal experiences—the hard way. While we can’t change the past, we can always learn from it. Here are the main takeaways:You have plenty of time: Don't rush your life or feel pressured to have everything figured out by a certain age. Your path is unique and it will unfold the way it’s meant to.Life isn’t fair: Sometimes, we get caught up comparing our journey to others. But every person has their own struggles behind the scenes. There’s enough success for everyone.Ask for what you need: Unspoken expectations lead to resentment. Communicate directly and openly with those around you—don’t assume people can read your mind.Be your own person: Trying to fit in or live up to someone else’s expectations will leave you feeling empty. Authenticity is where true fulfillment comes from.Be kind, no matter what: You never know what someone else is going through. A simple act of kindness can completely shift someone’s day—and it will improve your own life too.I am giving you actionable steps and real-life examples to help you apply these lessons to your daily life. If you enjoyed today’s episode, please leave a quick review—no need for anything fancy. #32 - Discover Your Human Design & Align With Your Purpose With Madeline Evergreen
Send us Fan MailHey y'all, this week is the most enlightening conversation with Madeline Evergreen, and let me tell ya, it was a real eye-opener. Madeline, a human design expert, shared her wisdom and insights, and it felt like finding a map to my own soul. Human design, as she explained, isn't just a tool; for many, it's a guide to navigating life with a clearer understanding of who we are at our core.Madeline's journey into human design began with her personal quest for health and wellness, which naturally evolved into a deeper exploration of spirituality and personal development. Her story resonated with me deeply, especially her revelation about how learning her human design chart felt like coming home to herself. It's a reminder that sometimes, the journey to understanding ourselves leads us through the most unexpected paths. We delved into the five energy types in human design—Manifestors, Generators, Manifesting Generators, Projectors, and Reflectors—and y'all, the insights were mind-blowing. Madeline's explanation of how these energy types shape our experiences and interactions opened up a whole new perspective on personal and professional relationships. It's like having a user manual for understanding not only yourself but also the people you interact with daily. One of the most compelling aspects of our chat was the discussion about how human design can influence our personal and business growth. By understanding our energy type, we can navigate life with more grace and ease, making decisions that align with our true nature. This knowledge is not just empowering; it's transformative.I'm left pondering the profound impact of human design on our paths to self-discovery and growth. It's a testament to the power of understanding our unique blueprint and using that knowledge to live a life that's truly aligned with who we are. Madeline Evergreen reminded us that by embracing our design, we open ourselves up to a world of possibilities, growth, and profound self-acceptance. Let's grow together, one conversation at a time, with the insights and wisdom that human design brings to our lives.ResourcesMy Human Design Website: This is a platform where your can input their birth details (date, time, and place of birth) to generate their Human Design chart for free. #22 - Christmas Your Way
Send us Fan MailHey y'all, welcome back to another episode of Samantha's Beauty Confessions. This time, we're getting cozy and personal with a episode titled "Christmas Your Way." I'm sharing a bit of my heart with y'all about the holidays, my experiences, and how we can all find joy in this season, no matter our circumstances. So, let me start by saying, Merry Christmas, y'all! I hope you're all wrapped up in the warmth of the season, surrounded by love and joy. This time of year always gets me thinking about traditions, family, and how we all celebrate in our unique ways. This episode isn't about my favorite products or beauty tips; it's about something much more personal – our experiences during the holidays.Growing up, my holidays were a bit of a whirlwind. With divorced parents and grandparents, I bounced back and forth, creating a patchwork of Christmas memories. While I cherished the double celebrations as a kid, as I grew older, I yearned for more stability and consistency. This desire for a stable holiday tradition became even more pronounced after my divorce. Suddenly, the holiday season, which used to be bustling and busy, felt empty and quiet. It made me rethink what Christmas really means to me.We often get caught up in the idea that holidays are all about family and big gatherings. But the truth is, family doesn't always mean blood relatives. Sometimes, our chosen family, our friends, or even our own company can be just as fulfilling. It's about doing what feels right for you. If that means taking a solo trip during the holidays or just spending a quiet day at home, that's perfectly okay. This holiday season, I encourage y'all to think about what makes you happy. If the traditional way of celebrating isn't bringing you joy, it's alright to change it up. Create new traditions that resonate with you. Surround yourself with people who support your choices and don't hold grudges if you decide to do things differently. Remember, we're in control of our happiness, and we should spend our lives feeling joy, love, and support. So, as we wrap up this episode and this year, I hope my little Christmas confession has inspired you to celebrate the holidays in a way that brings you the most joy. Have an amazing Christmas, y'all, and remember, do it your way. #21 - Reflecting on Triumphs and Embracing the Year's Wins
Send us Fan MailHey y'all, in this episode of Samantha's Beauty Confessions, I'm diving deep into the art of self-reflection as we approach 2024. It's been a year of highs and lows, and I've learned so much about appreciating my journey, both professionally and personally. I'm sharing this intimate conversation with you, hoping it'll inspire y'all in your own reflections.First, let's talk about the pressure of the New Year. I admit, I'm not the biggest fan of New Year's because it often brings anxiety and a sense of overwhelm. This feeling, I realized, comes mainly from social media, where everyone's sharing their resolutions and achievements, making me feel like I'm not doing enough. But here's the thing, y'all – we don't need to fall into that trap. This episode is about breaking free from that cycle and learning to appreciate our own pace and achievements. Now, onto my number one tip for self-appreciation: give yourself the proper amount of time to reflect on the entire year. It's not just about a quick review on December 31st. I've been setting aside a little time each day to remember everything that happened throughout the year. It's shocking how much we forget! When I first tried to recall my achievements, I drew a blank. But, by looking back at photos and notes, I realized I'd accomplished so much more than I gave myself credit for.One powerful method I found helpful is scrolling through my phone's photos, starting from January. It's amazing to relive those moments and see how far I've come. I encourage y'all to try this – you'll be surprised at the memories and achievements you've overlooked. It's not just about the big milestones; it's about those small, joyful moments that brought happiness throughout the year. So, as we wrap up 2023, I urge you to make a list of things you want to remember as the new year approaches. It's not overwhelming; just take it month by month. Reflecting on these memories brings immense joy and a sense of pride. And hey, don't forget to tag me if you share your lists online. I'd love to see your accomplishments and support you.Have an amazing week, and talk to you soon!2024 in person classes Digital educationBTC University class Let's stay connectedFollow on Instagram @samanthasbeautyconfessionsJoin my email listCheck out my websiteFollow on TikTok @samanthasconfessionsFollow on PinterestSubscribe to my YouTubeShop my Amazon Store Front
