This week, we welcome Bill Villafranco, Lead Trustee for the Virginia B. Toulmin Foundation, back to the podcast.  Bill shares with us the first book in an 8-part series based on the life of Virginia, titled, “Virginia B. Goes to the Symphony.  Bill also shares several stories of his mentor, and almost surrogate mother, in hopes that her legacy will continue and grow throughout the Sarasota Community.  Virginia was a generous philanthropist who often chose to keep her name out of the spotlight, noting that the causes she supported were the real subjects to highlight.  As the last person to know her personally, Bill continues to honor her as the lead trustee of her foundation.This year, the $100 millionth will be donated in the very same year she would have turned 100.  Countless charities and organizations have received funding from the foundation, which began with $140 million and Virginia’s blessing that Bill knew exactly how she would want her organization run.  We also learn about Virginia’s love for Sarasota, where she spent the remaining 15 years of her life, and we put Bill through the Rapid Fire Gauntlet.You can purchase the book, “Virginia B.
