The owner wants to cut it down, but the gardener pleads for more time to care for it in hopes it will bear fruit, symbolizing God's patience and desire for our spiritual growth and repentance.

God’s powerful truth rooted in His great love and mercy for us changes hearts and rescues us!

In the midst of Jonah’s disobedience, we see gentile mariners turn to fear God in obedience. God’s sovereignty is on full display and the privilege with which He invites us to participate with Him, if we so choose.

Jonah’s silent rebellion illustrates our own silent rebellion through our feelings. God reveals to us our tendency to flee from Him and follow what we think is best for ourselves.

Paul encourages Timothy and us to endure and suffer for the Gospel so that others may obtain salvation.
