Sero|Mela Sketches 1996–2003

by Niq Oltman

A selection of rough musical sketches composed by me (Niels Heidenreich) between 1996 and 2003.»Sero|Mela« is the artist name I am using for this work.I recorded these as is, track by track, in realtime. All tracks including the drumtrack were played on the keyboard. No overdubs or corrections, just one take (per track).Recorded and played back on a Yamaha SY77 synth, no external equipment. They usually start out with me playing around on the piano, getting an idea, recording a few loops and variations of it, and then quickly turning it into some kind of a song by adding a drumtrack, a bass track, and possibly a couple of extra tracks with other instruments (strings etc.).If you like any of these, there are many more.364 in total to be exact, which I made between 1993 and 2003. 19 hours of music non-stop.I’d be happy to upload more. Just drop me a message :)
