0:25-7:30 DORMANT ORDEAL (Poland) Everything That Isn't Silence Is Trivial — A Best of 2021 band, more thoughtful compositions integrating black and death that are ruthlessly groovy and emotionally wrenching.  8:33-20:01 BLOOD ABSCISSION (Anon) II - I — Anonymous thickly textured black metal weaving in furious and beautiful. 20:25-26:18 MESSA (Italy) At Races — Cocteau Twins and Dead Can Dance ethereal, gothy vocals in a doom and proggy rock. 26:38-33:24 ANCIENT DEATH (MA) Violet Light Decays — Guitar noodling and syncopated riffs create hypnotic and head-churning movements.   33:54- TER ZIELE (Netherlands) Of Noumenon Reality — Sludge-y melodic gorgeousness and doom pace with beautiful meditation.  Vocals are kick-ass and reminiscent of Buried Inside, one of my faves. 46:28-51:39 DIABOLIZER (Turkey) Hogtied In Razorwire — Throaty roars and an alien wicked rasp in a lean death mixed with tech death style. 52:08-58:49 TRIBUNAL (CAN) Between the Sea and Stars — Hers are pagan and anguished, his is a raspy gruff with gorgeous strings in a vampiric retro doom.  59:05-1:05:48 SILVER KNIFE (Belgium) Techne — Divinely romantic black metal with juxtapositions of light and dark. 1:06:10-1:12:36 BLACKWATER HOLYLIGHT (Portland) Wandering Lost — All-female sweet and crooning, shimmering, dreamy shoegaze.   1:13-02-1:18:10 LUMINOUS VEIL (US) Of Matter Agonized To Order — 2-piece in a galloping, thrashy black metal with a soft languidity. 1:18:35-1:23:04 IDLE HEIRS (KC)  Loose Tooth — A debut album with naked guitar and pensive lyrics.  The whole package is heart-wrenching.   1:23:27-END ASHENHEART (MI) Apparitions of The Abyss — Bleak, haunting black metal with viciously sharp vocals and rhythmic bludgeoning. Sharp.
